Posted: 9/30/2006 2:05:08 AM | Their have been times when i have got a bit down and thought i am not going to meet someone, not the sort of one i want, but its unreal you have to get out of that way of thinking, stop expecting people to come to you. Even in the bible it says a man has to look for a wife, if you want the someone worth haveing you have to search out for that special someone they are not going to fall out of the sky into your lap. So get those emails out.
Men often want more than just a pretty face, a pretty face may capture a man, but to keep one you have to have an attractive personality be loving and caring. The same goes for men as well. Mean narrow minded people are a turn off most often. | |

Posted: 9/30/2006 6:37:27 AM | hi,ive often felt miserable at not finding the right guy for me.i have had many opportunities in the past with guys i have known and met but ive never felt it was completely right. many guys who have been interested but i havent felt the same-there has to be some sort of chemistry for me..now of course as time goes by i think of my past relationships and wonder if i made some mistakes..i am 36 and feeling very fed up that things will never work out for me in my personal life.work is fine and i have my own flat and nice car and have nice friends.
i am finding though that i am avoiding seeing my friends because i dont want to talk about another failed relationship...i did see someone recently for 3 months but then he said that he didnt think he was ready for a relationship.i was hurt but didnt let it show. | |

I honestly don't see anything wrong with the dating scene (except the constant BS and games), but seriously...? There's NOTHING wrong with being alone. How many movies have you gone to by yourself? Meals your treated yourself to at a restaraunt?
Are some people meant to be alone forever...? Yes. They're called preists and nuns. Hermits are by definition "alone"... umm... ... ...but other than that? I personally think there's someone for everyone, but you have to realize---90% of relationships fail! And that other 10% who "make it" 60% will get divorced in the first ten years. Then that other 40%? Well, 30% of them get divorced by 15 years... ... ...
Given a long enough time-line nothing is permenant.
Enjoy being single, stop chasing butterfly's and some day one will find you.

Posted: 11/25/2006 8:29:09 AM | I think i am one of those that are going to be alone . I am a nice guy , good job ( for a long time ) , self supportive . I treat people the way i want to be treated . I have been divorced for over 20 yrs ( ex-wife treated me like crap ) , have had a few girlfriends along the way but they all thought they could do better ( I guess ) or were more interested in someone else .
Most women now days don't even give me a chance . The few women that i do message on here don't even reply at all . I am tired of going places by myself so I don't really go anywhere to meet women , unless you count my weekly shopping at Walmart , LOL . I live in a town where there are mostly cowgirls looking for cowboys ( and i am not one ) . | |
