Are you for real..........you know someone for........."4 Days", over the Internet, and you are going to send her money ! Hear This Loud And Clear............."SHE IS A... S C A M" ! If you want me to back up this statement I will ! Just email me, and I will direct you to a web-site, where others like you, have been taken for "THOUDSANDS" ! You already, send her $60.00, now she wants, $555, in the next email she'll want $1,051 for Visa, and Airfare and so on. They almost always start out with needing money for food ! DONT BE A FOOL !

Actually, if you are bored you can have a lot of fun with these people (who knows if they are women or not). See how long you can make up stories, the more outlandish the better, and see if they will continue to beg you for money.

I spent about 30 minutes IMing one, talking about how I couldn't get to the bank because the doctors wouldn't release me from the restraints and I had to wait for my medication. She wanted to know what the medication was for. I told her it was to make sure the aliens couldn't read my thoughts and thus gain the secret of taking over the Earth, thus acheiving interstellar dominance!

If nothing else, it gives you something to do in between horrible innings of a Red Sox game!

Uhhhhhm....there are things I would like to say here, but...

OP, you have a big heart.

I will refrain from typing the rest of my thoughts and laugh in private instead.

Way too many loopholes here.
You're a good hearted guy. Save it for someone genuine.

DO NOT SEND HER ANY MORE MONEY. My God, how can you think she is an honest person? You met on a site, you don't really know her and yet she is hitting you up for money? Who knows how many others she is doing it to and raking in the bucks. You sound like a very compassionate person, don't let her take advantage of you.

IT'S A SCAM!

If you NEVER want to see your $300.00 or her....Sent the money.

NEVER SEND MONEY!!!

Of course she sounds sincere, that is part of the SCAM....She is also playing the VICTIM card here too.....She is the poor HELPLESS girl that can't cash a check until she gets back to the states and needs YOUR help....Right? Believe me, they DO have banks in Africa.

I would put money on it that she is telling MANY other guys the same story. NEVER SEND MONEY!!!

I bet you have never met this woman in person or even have talked to her on the phone, have you? IT MAY NOT EVEN BE A WOMAN!!! Have you thought about that??

NEVER SEND MONEY!!!!

Because I have buisness email, personal email and play email I get at least 10 letters from Lagos, Nigeria or the Ivory Coast each week. They are either stuck and need out. Or there money is stuck and they want to send their money to your account (just to get your account numbers) AND I GET THE EXACT SAME MAIL ON ALL THREE ACCOUNTS sometimes.

See what she says if you tell her if she sends you a copy of her exit visa you will buy her a non refundable plane ticket. SEE HOW FAST SHE DISAPPEARS. O I often say I recieved three different emails to day on three different sites how many men are the only man that can help you. HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A RESPONSE to that one either.

hope this helps

Never EVER feel bad about having a kind heart, ok? People here can be cruel and make you feel like an idiot, just because you hadnt experienced this kind of scam before. You honestly wanted to help someone that you were beginning to care about, and that is a wonderful trait. Unfortunately someone is taking advantage of that good heart. Everybody has to learn sometime, and you werent exposed to it before now. Luckily there werent some zeros behind the first money you sent.
Every time I get hit with those kinds of things (and yes, there are male scammers too) and they say they are from the states, I just start asking them about their background, where they lived, grew up, etc, why they dont talk with an american slang/accent, did they ever go to a certain event in that area, what school they went to, etc. When you start digging into their story, they usually vamoose pretty quickly...

Have you actually met this person and know her real situation? Don't send a penny. There is nothing preventing an African male (for instance) from setting up a pof (or lavalife) account under a bogus female ID located in the USA. You exchange a few e-mails and you think "she's" great, then suddenly she's stuck in Africa and needs money. Where's her family and friends? How did you suddenly become her $$ saviour? I would avoid someone legit who is that isolated just on principle but the whole thing could easily be a complete scam.

"tatyana" is a very popular girl. I messed with her at another site, and know of many others who have to. Actually there is more than one, but it's still a hoot to see that name everytime scams get brought up. She sent me pics. An attractive woman. A little goth looking, not too much so. That's not what made her hot, just wanted to give a description.

No nudie pics. They may have been on the way but I couldn't resist telling her I'm broke and telling her off. Must wait for boobies next time.

One day my "soul mate" is going to contact me and really be down and out. She won't ask for money, just tell me what's up. I will then DELETE her after reading about her situation. Thank you scammers, for screwing me out of a possible legit relationship with my soul mate. Sounds like my luck.

Hey,
No way, she is using you. If she got over there she can figure out how to get back. Maybe she needs to work a while and then save her money to come home. If she cannot even pay for food, come on? Let her go you will never see the money or her I feel sure. Hope that helps.

You never give money to people you don't know. It's great that you want to help her but I doubt she is being honest with you. Do yourself a favor and don't get hung up on someone in that type of situation.

Dont worry everyone i made my decision within the first couple of posts.
Its funny though the replies shes sending me back.Whats wrong etc etc.She also wrote some stupid little poems. Its kinda funny some of the posts of the ones you came across.

I may be nice enough to help someone but i could never send someone large amounts of money that i havent even met. Thanks for all the posts though.

I told her she was evil incarnate and she was going to go to hell btw.

OP, I think you can rest assured that this is a scam. They always start out with a request for a smaller sum of money. Once that's been successful, they get a little bolder. It's a pretty standard formula.

And I hope they keep this thread up...it could help another, and make your $60 investment well worthwhile. This is nothing you should feel stupid about. :)

Actually, not all start off with asking for money. Many wait. There's MANY different types of scams. Too much to list.

POF doesn't have many scammers. Every other site I been to has hordes of them.
