Jamie Foxx was into music from an early age...and went into acting, now has used acting to sell his music
i expect great things from him
ok yeah singing to acting is one thing....but when actors try to sing....hmmm...not always good results

Tom Waits acts but I haven't seen him in anything to judge
Tom Waits was great in "Mystery Men." I saw this interview with him a while after it was made and he said he was so bad at memorizing lines, they had to tape them on the backs of props on all over the set. :)

| actor or musician??? Posted: 10/20/2006 3:29:10 PM | I think there are a number of musicians who also make really good actors, some are better actors than musicians, take Ice T, couldn't stand him as a musician but he's cool cool on SVU, I have yet to see my all-time favourite Amy Lee branch out:) She would be good in some kinda thriller along the lines of the Underworld series.

| actor or musician??? Posted: 10/21/2006 4:13:08 PM | I almost thought no one mentioned Kevin Bacon, but I found one. I also like Will Smith and Jamie Foxx. Jennifer Lopez wasn't bad in "The Wedding Planner." And he may be the funniest "musician" ever, but I love William Shatner! Mr. Tamborine Man! He doesn't take himself seriously and I love that. He's an icon. I also agree with a previous post about Roger Daltrey. I think he was in one of the Highlander movies, and some TV shows. Did anyone know that Johnny Depp is a guitarist? I guess he wanted to be a rock star, so he married a singer. They probably jam together, how cool would THAT be? | |
