| timely Posted: 10/10/2006 2:54:44 PM | I gave up my watch a couple of years ago......life is a lot less hectic now!
my family were making me the butt of late jokes because I am the one who has to travel and was always late by an hour.....
that was then and this is now......I always give myself an extra 30 to 60 minutes so that i will be on time (have to give myself fussing time on "what do I have to wear" ha!)

| timely Posted: 10/10/2006 4:24:16 PM | If you show up too early you are being too eager ... this counts for a date, a job interview, and just about any other sort of meeting I can think of. A time is set for a meeting, that is the time you should show up, not 15 minutes early, not 5 minutes late.
All that being said, I tend to always be a few minutes late. I like being the centre of attention walking into the room and having everyone turn and look at me

I am always on time, but can get ready in a really short time. I never used to be without a watch but since my kids are grown and I no longer have to be on such a strict schedule I do not need to wear one.

| timely Posted: 10/10/2006 4:37:53 PM | | I disagree that showing up for an interview or a date early is being too eager. To me, it tells me that the person is interested, respectful and has taken the proper planning to get there without being late. For interviews inparticular, showing up late or "just making it" to me would show that the candidate didn't try very hard to get there, and isn't all that interested. But hey, that's just me lol | |

| timely Posted: 10/10/2006 7:50:28 PM | | I'm always early or on time for everything. If I'm supposed to meet someone or have an appointment I have to be early. If it gets too close to the time of the appointment and I'm still not there it stresses me out and changes my mood completely. | |

But hey, that's just me I agree completely plebie. I try to never be late for things because I think if I am, it shows my lack of respect for the other person's time. We had this discussion at work one day and decided that we are so in support of this statement that we now have a little plastic piggy bank in our board room and if anyone is ever late for a meeting (without prior approval) they must put $2 in the piggy bank and the money goes to our United Way funds.
