| Love and Geeks Posted: 6/27/2005 7:16:10 PM | To me, a dork is someone who is intelligent and quirky, and does not put on any pretense about who he is. "Willing to risk looking like a fool just for the adventure of being alive," so to speak... | |

I love girl-geeks, not only are they the ones who are generally open to pretty much any line of conversation, be it discussions on the ethics of drug testing on the criminally insane, discourse on the lack of economic systems in Star Trek, or debate over whether Jem (truly outrageous) or He-Man was a better cartoon. Add to that, the nature of geekdom requires that one have a pretty wild imagination - that same imagination does not end at the bedroom door.

And vice versa.
I do think the original post is a tad long-winded. But, I do agree to some extent. I didn't date anybody when I was in high school. It wasn't because I was a clumsy dork who'd fail at every attempt to get a girl. It was simply 'cause I didn't even care too much for them! My nose was always in something else. Whether it be my computer, or games, or movies...
I dunno...I was full of other interests. Only recently have I had the same revelation. I guess the difference is you're twice my age. :x I've been looking back and thinking "wow...I really need to catch up with this dating stuff." And I have been....sort of. O_O
Well I have a profile on here so I guess that's a sign things aren't going too well, eh?
But you can't blame me. I go to Full Sail, a school with about a 30-1 male/female ratio. My options are very, VERY limited. O_o
