The whole thread has been a barrel of laughs. It was fostered by a Sterotype, and by a poster who as yet has not made a reappearence.

The comment was insinuating that black and hispanic men are all only interested in sex for procreation, and that all white men are only interested in sex for sex's sake. That is simply not the case. | |

Taste varies.. I personally am a white male and I'm specifically attracted to Latin women. However, I love women of all races and I like them thn (not skinny) or athletic/curvy (with the curves in the RIGHT places..and that's NOT in the middle ).. Race isn't really a selection criteria for me.. | |

Posted: 10/25/2006 8:58:53 AM | We keep forgetting that the preferences of white men, in regards to the ideal female form, has changed drastically over the last 50 years or so. For instance, the very voluptuous Marilyn Monroe used to be considered the ideal woman in 1950s America ( she bagged two Kennedy brothers enough said) . In those days, the perfect woman's measurements were 36-26-36, like a curvy hourglass. Nowadays, the ideal shape of a woman is 34-24-34, down by two inches, hence the ideal female body shape shifted from voluptuous to tomboyish. So much so, that Marilyn Monroe could not get a single date, if she were around today, because she would be considered fat & undesirable.
There is also the element of Culturalization , Black men have always been surrounded by curvy women , starting with their mothers, and hence they are very comfortable with mega curves. This is in part due to the fact that in traditional African societies, voluptuous women are celebrated as icons of health, Sex, and fertility. This cultural ideal was brought to America by the slaves, and continues to influence the preferences of black men in the western world, just look at the average hip hop video to see what black men consider attractive.
On the other hand, the preferences of most white men tend to be influenced by the Victorian standards of attractiveness. According to this standard of beauty, the ideal woman is delicate ( not thick), abnormally thin with long thin legs , a thin nose, and a very small tightly corseted waist. Hence , the ideal woman in the white community , through out the decades , has always been a thin woman , with the exception of the 1950s. We can clearly see ,the importance of thinness in white society reflected in the ubiquitous saying "You can never be too rich or too thin."
This standard of beauty creates a problem for Black girls and women who live in predominantly White middle-class neighbourhoods, or attend predominantly Whites schools, since it means social ostrization for them. Generally speaking white men don’t like to date "thick" black women , because of their preference for thin women, and white women don’t like to hang out with “ chubby” black girls, since it reflects badly on them, at least this has been my experience.
The few white men who are brave enough to date “chubby” black girls tend to be mocked for being chubby chasers, and generally speaking they lose some of their social prestige because they are with a woman who is not considered “beautiful” by white standards.
At the end of the day , it comes down to the following would you rather have chicken or steak? Anyone who've ever had steak knows how nourishing it can be . That's all I have to say on this subject for now.

I know white men that grow up around black people and end up liking big behinds.
More generally, I think it's a reflection upon what the women in one's culture tends to look like. White women tend to be skinny, so white men are probably going to like them more. Black women are curvier with bigger -sses, so black men will probably like that.
While watching Jose Luis Sin Censura, I notice that bigger women are not a turnoff for the Hispanic crowd. On Jerry Springer, if a woman has anything more than a tube for a stomach, she's deemed fat. There really isn't a wrong or right. It's just who you grow up around.
The problem is when you start putting down somebody else's standards because they're different. | |

Well, if you could actually read, you would have seen where I am NOT a woman, so far that is two black men tonite who couldn't tell the difference between a nerdy fat white guy and a white chick.
Well make that three, because I thought you were female. I guarantee you there are at least three white people that thought you were female, too. Has nothing to do with race. Your picture just looks female.
I was once wondering why I would see black men just chasing after the nastiest, fattest white women, why they would get lapdances from that one woman who should have retired like 20 years ago,
I have noticed that when black guys like white women, the standards differ from that of white men. Did these women have bigger behinds? While I do think black men go for thicker bodies in general, I find it hard to believe we simply go for nasty white ones. And trust me, I think I hang around a lot more black men than you do.
The simple fact is that white people all look the same to them.
Granted there is some truth to this statement, I don't think it's relegated strictly to black people. Any race of people would have a harder time distinguishing between two people of a different race if they weren't as familiar with it. I can't count the number of times white people (and other races) have confused me with another black guy that was 4 inches shorter and 40 pounds heavier. Given these statements, it isn't a hyperbolic stretch to infer your statements as racist. | |

I think you phrased the question badly .....I don't know if white men necessarily tend to like "skinny" white women ....I think that because you're dealing with white people some how it's ok to be derogatory.
I do think white men tend to like slim and trim and/or athletic healthy looking white women .....that is for sure..but they also tend to like the slim and trim women of other races too....maybe not as often though...but white men like a wide variety of women....but they "tend" to like some more than others...just as men of every race do. | |

As a Black Man I'm "supposed" to be a booty lover and eat fried chicken three times a day...
Funny thing is I prefer slender white women myself, and to further confound the white man my blood pressure is at normal levels and I don't eat fried chitlins either... 
Every person has their own preferences, and while our cultural backgrounds may provide an opportunity for influence, there are plenty of us who just naturally defy the mold.  | |

One of the best combinations I have seen is Kristen Kreuk, the chick from Smallville.
Half Chinese, and half Dutch OMG! What a combination!
My preference is whatever body type falls between thin & curvy, no matter what the race... (I don't like rib cages, but I don't like rolls either, I like in-between!) | |

We need to talk about welding artwork, I have need of a shepards crook about 7 feet tall made out of iron or steel and has to support 500 pound of shear over whole length. I'll mail you later I am sure i will remember it, LOL okay I am not sure if I will remember it, but I am making one of wood already. Just need a steel or iron one too.
ON to the OP and you together. I love skinny white-green-black-mossy women and if they have any skills in smiling and waving at the crowds that I am sure to gather sooner or later the more the better. I stand on the main drag and do my 8 am to 9 am exercise set of stave work, I am allowed 3 mistakes; or if the hour is up can leave anytime I want to, or 3 mistakes or a 10 count of no one on the road. Today I hit 3 mistakes at the one hour mark exactly, but I was pretty much tired by then, one solid hour of a spinning 7 pound iron pipe. I maintain on my blog a daily diary of events, e.mail me for site if you want to read it.
I'd date every female that passed me today even the 60+ year olds that staunchly did not look at me, They saw me but I was to abnormal.
Abnormal there is a word,, did you OP mean to say that something was abnormal or something was Normal.
Please OP get back to us on this, Or e.mail me if you have already answered the query.

Cant you just be happy that someone out there will think your the ideal? Forget about the men who want just asian girls...or white girls ..or thin girls or BBW girls...or whatever the hell is in style right now. You cant change your skin tone....so if some looser doesnt like it...well consider yourself saved from finding out he's an idiot if he thinks stuff like that matters. If your BBW and YOU DONT LIKE IT....change it. I wish women would just make a pact to stop all this b_tching about men who arent good enough for them anyways. There are lots of hot guys who love women in all packages....stop looking for reasons to feel like crap about yourselves...
***I also think sometimes these issues are over simplified...maybe he dated the skinny white girl because they had more in common? Maybe her smile made his heart melt...maybe there was a connection that went beyond the physical....stop going for the obvious reasons...I dont think most men are that easy to figure out*** | |
