You're right...MOST men like long hair on a woman, however, I think that AGE should not be the indicator of when to go "short hair". I've had short (really short!) hair in my past, but never liked it enough to keep it that way! My mother (rest her soul) told me (when I was 23) that I didn't look like a "mother" (had 2 kids then). WHAT DOES A MOTHER LOOK LIKE?? We come in all shapes, sizes, colors, body types, etc! If you like long hair & look good with it..........GO FOR IT! Personally, I like mine long & will keep it that way until I get tired of the daily "upkeep".

And some women will continue to actually believe that it's becoming, even over

50.

Most men don't know diddly about 'style' anyway, and have never been

a good 'barometer' of what's appropiate even on themselves. Why capitulate

common sense, because some 'man likes it'........?? heck , most men I know can't

pick out a tie and shirt that looks decent.....

LOL, it's a personal choice. I have had my hair long, short, in-between. I am now in the process of growing it back out again. It has nothing to do with men, it's simply because I like it.

certainly a personal choice indeed

like being FAT

or like still being a smoker approaching 50.....

heck, some women still think it's appropriate to smoke....even through pregnancy..

Good judgment combined with choice is always de rigueur..still others refuse

to even attempt to understand

certainly a personal choice indeed

yes, as mannnnnny have stated, but as you have not accepted, and doubt you ever will.

as you too, seem to have 'refused to even attempt to understand' why some old geriatric biddies (as has been your POV , evidenced by your repetitive returns to this forum ) just.... like.... long.... hair.

does it really matter?

I would love to be able to grow my hair long again (for me)....but I keep getting it cut :) In the summer, along with those nasty hot flashes, I sometimes wish I could shave my head....and walk around more naked than naked! I can just hear my kids now, "Ewwww, grosssss! Put a bag over your body!" Ahhh, can't win, hehehe!
I'm thinking that I should just get a wig for those days that I want long hair (maybe long enough to cover my naked body :)

Shallow thinkers aeem to ALWAYS result

to making a feeble attack on another POSTER

rather than comment on the CONTENT of a

particular post.

It doesn't MATTER if I have a PICTURE POSTED....duh..

that's not the TOPIC......

Typical deflective, moronic technique...........

This forum is designed for COMMENT....

No one must AGREE....again that seems easy enough for

any reasonable, mature person to grasp.......

No one has to 'accept' anyone's opinion...it's OPINION

Take a closer look in your own mirror..........laughable

In 2002 I lost all my hair from chemo...when it started to grow back and was at that *short stage...my kids said "Mom, you have hair...you look like a dyke but you have hair!"

It didnt grow back like it had been before, it was a different color and texture...but as time went by I realize I was never going to have the *killer hair I had before the chemo. I have had to relearn how to style it to achieve the look I want and when I read threads like this I have to laugh cause there is always the option of NO HAIR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand that some have issues with their hair being different after they attain a certain age...it might be thinner or the grey doesnt style as well. There are so many products on the market to help you to be able to enjoy having long hair at any age...it is just a matter of preferences...do what makes you happy.

Can a guy have a opinion here with out being wrong? LOL after all it's my opinion.
Long hair, short hair, bald headed, pixie cut. some women can pull the look off.
being beautiful, with a special look. I do love longer sholder lenght hair on a woman,
But I hve also seen short hair on different women that was perfect for them, Go try on wigs, look at the different styles, see what you like, (I am going to put my foot in my mouth here) see what your mate likes, after all he is the one who is going to have to look at it all the time, color changes, I understand covering up some gray if you want. but If I fell in love with a brunete, I must have been in love with the look as much as the person. I wasn't looking for a blonde or redhead, I was drawn to the brunete, blonde , redhead or in some cases blue haired. LOL Every person is different, look better with a different look that others, Movie stars, Marlyn, Farrah, ect.. has changed our hairstyles through the times. ladies I liked the look, I chased you , if you change the look should I take it as a sign that your looking for more than what I'm offering?
Or the fact that you want to change what we have together. Be yourself, do the best with what you have! and if you go get a makeover, (but then you are getting someones elses idea of what you should look like, Or what they have left in the shelve that they need to sell) Don't come out looking like one of the clones that are out there. You are special, you are an individual, and before ling the guys or one special one will be on the doorstep looking for just you! Who knows he might just be mrwonderful!!!!!!!

I am sure that within 40 pages of replies, it has already been said...but how good someone looks with long hair is not really an issue of age...more of how well they wear their hair, face shape, body type, etc.

I am sure there are folks who keep long hair to "keep their youth" as well...for me personally, I like the way that *I* feel with longer hair....I like how many different ways I can wear it, long...straightened, curled, upsweep, etc. :) If a fellow asked me to cut it because he did not like it...I would not...so I don't keep it long for those reasons, either.

I am in my 40's and have long hair. I wouldn't mind having shorter hair but my hair has a mind of it's own and I can't really control it....it looks better long. You can see my hair in my profile pictures.
