| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 10/9/2006 2:35:31 PM | On the 19th day of May 1967 the world as people knew it changed forvever! It was the birth of Michael,"King of the Stars". Traveling throughout his life seeking knowledge from the towns folk, The knowledge he later needed when he guided his flock through the Periless Voyage to explore the unknown. It was the most trechorous ordeal I have ever been through said "King Michael", I have lost most of my flock due to the heat, the cold, and the waters. But I have found the answer with the help of my friend Confucious. And Confucious say: Man Who Has hole in pocket, feels **** all day!
Your turn robinkynd...

| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 10/9/2006 3:04:30 PM | All Hail! The Venerable King Micheal! He of the hole in his pocket. He who has endured many trials and tribulations, to better understand his friends and neighbors. He who was born on the 19th day of May in the year 1967. He who rules with the iron fist of hilarity. He who places his iron fist in his pocket often! All Hail! Lead and I shall follow!!
You crack me up!!!!!! And you're cute too!

| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 10/9/2006 7:39:03 PM | This is simple dude. Guys are usually not into things like Psychics, palm readers and astrology. Women are absolutely fascinated by these things. They talk about this kind of stuff with thier girlfriends just like you talk about football with your guy friends. Read a book called "astrology for the soul" by jan spiller. This is a book that looks at the North node of the moon and it is based on your birth date and YEAR. If you just match your birthdate with your north node and read about it you will see why they are interested in it. I would love to date a Gemini because they basically have two different sides to everything. Leo's are the center of attention all the time. Capricorns are organized. Do you not see the advantage to knowing about this kind of stuff. IT IS VERY INTERESTING......It is NOT LOGICAL and women love it. It also makes for some very good conversation. I liked this stuff long before I knew women liked it. | |

| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 10/10/2006 9:45:41 AM | | I've also noticed that women are into things that arent logical, I've read up the basics of palm reading so I can fascinate them with being able to read there palms, I personally don't believe in it but your right studying the illogical "arts" will make for good conversation and help the women feel closer to you, reading there palms keeps them fascinated so theres no reason not to do it. | |

Yeah, like men... they make less sense than astrology
I'm normally very logical but can't help noticing certain typical strong characteristics in certain signs.
Water signs: cancer, pisces, scorpio - I have yet to meet one who isn't sensitive and emotional and I do mean noticably more than other signs.
Earth signs: taurus, capricorn, virgo do always seem to have that no-nosense down to earth, logic about them.
Geminis are usually great communicators who like their space - usually witty, moody, child like and smart.
Scorpios I've met usually do hold on to past hurts more than others. I have noticed a pattern - I just have fun with it. Actually, it's a great way of getting to know people whether or not you believe in it. "Oh, so you're a gemini - obviously flirtatious!" Doesn't matter what the answer is but it will reveal something - a fun way of getting to know people, I do it all the time with men and women.

| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 10/11/2006 7:19:52 AM | ^^^^^ummm you forgot some people here!
air signs and fire signs!
air signs- aquarius,gemini,libra......idealists.always looking for the balance between good and evil. often philosophical
fire signs-aries,leo, and sagittarius.......extroverted, sometimes overbearing, and always up for a challenge

i must be an alien or something im a scorpio and im not emotional! i mean i have em feel them but no more then anyone else i refuse to let anything get me down so in that sense very strong willed and stubborn! am very considerate tho i always put the toilet seat down( after i peed on it) so am i more that, then something else then? and whats a water sign? i was taught to swim from 3 yrs upwards so i love water. i suppose thats a link... not! if someone came upto me said 'hey they way you wriggle that ass you gotta be a libra!' id do my nut! 'oh your one of them! be gone vermin!'
and anyway heres why all women are just strange and illogical, general wronguns! lol if men are from mars and women from venus every planet spins clockwise. fact venus is the only plantet spins anti clockwise.. and that just says it all!

| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 10/11/2006 8:12:12 AM | "Yeah, like men... they make less sense than astrology"
Like how alot of men use the reasoning that if they are a womens therapist she'd want to sleep with him, and he reasons that if an attractive lady helped him with his problems he'd want to sleep with her, but he'd want to sleep with her anyway even if she ADDED to his problems
But I am not most men and I simply know better.

| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 10/11/2006 10:46:02 AM | Dave I simply don't believe you must be your rising sign then
As I said, a great way to get to know people... when they deny the typical traits, they always give a few others away!
Ladies, he puts down the toilet seat!
I can't say I believe in these as such but I've seen enough to make me curious. They say as you get older, your rising sign begins to have a bigger impact. There is much more to astrology, like the position of all planets at the moment of birth
Go on Dave, you deserve your chart done. Just give me time, date, place of birth and we'll have you all figured out in minutes Seriously, if you know time of birth and give me other details, I'll post your chart.

| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 10/11/2006 2:55:31 PM | Hey, all:
Aw, Natscha, and Robin, you are both lovely, interesting, intelligent, perceptive, women, so it hurts me to tell you this, but astrology is nothing but pure 4000-year-old mythology, based on superstition, supposition, and ignorance. There is NO empirical evidence for ANY level of accuracy or predictive value--all the anecdotal perceptions and stories notwithstanding. No controlled studies put forward have shown any validity in any of it.
Aircraft flying overhead surprisingly have magnitudes more gravitiational pull on earthly bodies than the planets, at the moment of birth, or any other time for that matter. The obstetrician and nurses, the bottle of Nitrous Oxide, the Oxygen tank, the surgical light, have more "pull", yet we don't try to predict the behavior or character of adults based on it.
The ancients thought the skies were just out of our reach--that is one reason why towers were built--to reach the stars. They thought planets were merely unstuck stars--"planet" means "wanderer".
Trying to attach the Moon's and Sun's influence to human behavior is like wondering why fish don't need bicycles--a complete, uninformed waste of time. I have heard for years 'Well, the tides....!' Do you realize, that if the Moon could suddenly be taken away, the tides would remain for years, just like the ripples on a pond, slowly subsiding? And, unlike the world's bodies of water, we are constantly changing our physical positions. Only the Moon's light--or lack of it--matters. And it is the light and heat of the Sun that causes the diurnal and seasonal cycles. Nothing else, nothing more.
I am sorry, but there is simply no basis for it. For women and men--live your life, be yourself, and accept people for who they are, not the words of some foolish ignorant early Greek court jester/physician, made up in a moment of empty-headed musing.
Did you play that game in 7th grade where you told your friend to pick a boy's name, a color, and a number? Then you said "OWH MAH GAWD, yer gonna marry Bryan, live in an orange house, and have like 19 kids!' EEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEW!!!
Same predictive value.... He he he--but you did get over that--didn't you? You didn't reeeeaaaaalllly marry Bryan, did you? Oh, please say you didn't! Aaaaaaiiiiiieeeeee!!

| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 10/11/2006 3:06:00 PM | Sotexman, for me it's just a fun hobby and I WILL continue to play with it. I always say it doesn't make sense to me but find it, nevertheless, interesting.
It really does not stop me from accepting people as they are. I'm light-hearted enough to put it all aside when I really want to get to know someone.

| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 10/11/2006 3:35:26 PM | Hey, all:
Hey, Natscha:
I for one am GLAD you don't take it seriously, yet there are millions who do. They should be required to read a statement on any published astrological info: "This is a GAME!" And, of course I should have said my position is gender-neutral--a game for either sex.
Thanks for the response! I was half expecting 'weapons of mass destruction'! But you didn't answer the question--you DIDN'T marry 'Bryan', did you?!?! Hah! Just teasing!!
David

Okay Dave here you go, now don't go trying to disprove every point but tells us those things that are also spot on - that way at least I can prove one of my points
October 31 1979 2:02 AM Time Zone is UT London, UK
Rising Sign is in 15 Degrees Virgo You tend to be very shy and not very self-assertive. You are supercritical about how you appear to others. Even though you may think you are uninteresting and dull, you are actually quite soft- spoken, orderly, neat and very likable. You are a perfectionist with high standards, and at times you can be quite tactless in pointing out the faults of others. Very practical, efficient and purposeful, your appearance and bearing reflect your need to appear graceful, sensible and reserved. You have a crisp, no-nonsense approach to dealing with others. Never lazy or self-indulgent, you tend to be dedicated to the work ethic.
Sun is in 07 Degrees Scorpio. Intense and complex by nature, you have extremely strong emotional reactions to most situations. Feelings are often very difficult for you to verbalize. Therefore you have a tendency to be very quiet - - to brood and think a lot. You seldom get overtly angry, but, when you do, you are furious and unforgiving. When you make an emotional commitment, it is total -- you are not attracted to superficial or casual relationships. If you are challenged, you take it as a personal affront and tend to lash out and fight back in a vengeful manner. You love mysteries and the supernatural. A good detective, you love getting to the roots of problems and you enjoy finding out what makes other people tick. You are known to be very willful, very powerful and quite tenacious!
Moon is in 10 Degrees Pisces. You have strong feelings and are extremely sensitive. It would help if you had a thicker skin -- you tend to react emotionally to every situation you come across. Kind, gentle and considerate of the feelings of others, you are good at taking care of the sick, wounded and helpless. But you tend to absorb the energy of others -- so avoid those who are always negative. You have a rich, creative and lively imagination, but you should be careful not to spend all your time daydreaming. Very intuitive, you have good ESP and may be quite clairvoyant or psychic. Remember that you too have the right to get what you want from life. If you are always defensive and kowtowing to others, people will take advantage of you and exploit you.
Mercury is in 00 Degrees Sagittarius. Your mind is very curious and inquisitive, always seeking information on a wide variety of topics. The broader the subject matter (philosophy, science, religion, metaphysics), the more it will appeal to you. You prefer to deal with abstractions -- the small but important details associated with any subject tend to slip your grasp. You are known for being blunt, honest and truthful.
Venus is in 24 Degrees Scorpio. Your feelings about others are deep, powerful, intense and complex. When you like someone, you do so totally and obsessively if you do not like someone, they do not exist. Your faithfulness and loyalty to your lover is unquestioned, indeed at times it is too much so -- you get so possessive that you almost smother your partner. At times, your feelings are kept deep within you and, because they are so complex and intense, they frighten you -- this is the way that you try to ignore them. But the more you try to do this, the more explosive things get when you eventually do express them.
Mars is in 20 Degrees Leo. You are a very proud person. Strong, bold, courageous and self-possessed, you love to be the one to initiate significant actions. When people expect a lot of you, you respond positively and will work hard in order to maintain their respect. But when your dignity or pride is threatened, you tend to become sarcastic, arrogant and domineering. Try not to take any challenge or resistance that you meet as a personal affront. You are very stubborn about your right to live your life according to your own principles.
Jupiter is in 05 Degrees Virgo. You feel most expansive and at ease with yourself when you are doing something that you consider to be practical or useful. You enjoy being dutiful and carrying out responsibilities. You gladly take on the little tasks that others seem to want to avoid. At times, you carry things to extremes and feel guilty anytime you do something that you consider to be self-indulgent. While it is appropriate for you to demand little for yourself in life, try to loosen up once in a while -- go out on a fling and enjoy yourself!
Saturn is in 23 Degrees Virgo. Your life must be orderly and practical and full of known and familiar routines in order for you to feel comfortable with yourself. Be careful, however, not to let "order" become the be-all and end-all of your life, or you may become cold, crass and unfeeling. Doing useful, practical things boosts your self- esteem. Abstract concepts and reasoning seem frivolous and a waste of time to you. You are very critical of yourself (and others), indeed at times quite self-deprecating. Try to relax a bit and allow yourself the freedom to fail once in a while. However, you probably won't fail very often because you are such a perfectionist.
Uranus is in 20 Degrees Scorpio. You, and your peer group, demand to confront life at its deepest and most meaningful levels. Very compulsive and obsessive in your approach to everything, you will avoid anything that is casual or superficial, especially when it comes to relationships. You will seek out and explore new methods of healing as well as different ways to deal with deep-seated emotional problems.
Neptune is in 18 Degrees Sagittarius. You, and your entire generation, are heavily involved in investigating and idealizing foreign and exotic intellectual systems and religious philosophies. The most extreme ideals will be pursued with gusto. You will be at the forefront of humanitarian attempts to improve the lot of those who are in need of assistance. You will be comfortable with the concept of the "global village."
Pluto is in 19 Degrees Libra. For your entire generation, this is a time of radical changes in society's attitude toward marriage and interpersonal relationships. There is a general fear and awe at the power inherent in making emotional or contractual commitments -- they will not be entered into lightly.
N. Node is in 06 Degrees Virgo. You're usually quite at ease in leaving leadership roles in the hands of others. You would rather tend to the thousand and one details that need to be accomplished to keep any group going. Although you're very fussy and high-minded when it comes to choosing your associates, once your loyalty is given you can be trusted with many of the practical aspects of any project that is being undertaken. Usually quite unselfish, you will toil long hours in the service of any worthy cause that demands your attention. But be careful that your perfectionist tendencies don't get in the way of making real progress. (In other words, don't waste your time dusting clean shelves!)

| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 7/3/2008 8:01:28 PM | Ah yes...the Scorpio male....of course you're going to try to disect this bit by bit- but underlying characteristics are very much the same...and all you Scorpio males are heart breakers. You test your partners waaaaaaaaaaay too much and continuously push them away. You expect us to walk through fire for you time and time again but you keep us emotionally distanced and only come back to real us in when you feel us fading away...only to make us feel like you care..but only for a little bit...because you'll back off and freak our minds out some more.....but you're so darn easy to fall in love with because when you make yourselves emotionally available...you're the perfect man....oh yes.....the Scorpio male.

| women and their obsession with star signs! Posted: 7/4/2008 1:59:27 AM | There are literally thousands of methods of "divination", and whether it's Tarot cards, reading the stars, or reading the placement of seeds in bird droppings, (stercomancy), they all have one thing in common. They're not meant to be taken seriously enough to base actual life decisions on. Some people find it easier to be told, or at least guided, as to how to live, rather than take it upon themselves to make thier own way. The idea that there's a magical warning system to avoid making life's terrible decisions IS appealing, but at least it serves as a warning system to US to just not date those people. :) | |

Just call it a difference, a strange quirk, an eccentricity. It doesn't matter. :)
