Posted: 8/30/2007 10:58:57 PM | Service was pretty bad. My second plate of wings never arrived. I sat there with an empty beer trying to get someone's attention to pay for what I'd had. For a very long time. Eventually one of the people from our table went to the bar, got the bill printed and brought it over. The bill was marked off with subtotals for each customer, but these sections didn't correspond to ANYONE at the table.
I ended up gathering the money for one of the two bills left at the end. One of the groups that paid off their portion thought that there should be a ten buck tip from their portion. Another left $5 more than their portion. But when it was all added up, the gathered money matched the total, tipless. I threw another ten in at that point. I'm not sure whether someone screwed up their math, whether someone skipped, or whether a portion was prepaid at the bar but not marked to our bill. My personal theory was that latter, but I couldn't prove it with the previous customers now gone.
So, problems with the bill. Ordered food didn't show. Unordered food did show, People sat with empty beer glasses for up to 3/4 of an hour before anyone noticed. I'm not a wings aficionado, so I can't speak to the quality that Andrew didn't find. How can you screw up wings?
However, we did have pretty girls and what conversation I could hear over the roar was good. I still call it a success, and plan to show for more of 'em. | |

aobut the bill though, that's why i always ask for a seperate bill.. i've run into problems with that before and it's not worth the pains... plus if the waitress was smart about it, she'd realize that she makes more money doing seperate bills.. was it especialy busy that night? was the girl new? next time ask to speak to the manager and get him/her to sort it out.. | |

The wings were acceptable, but almost devoid of sauce, meaning they were slapped together with no interest in doing it right. I understand busy, but wing nights are intended to be busy. I've had the same problems elsewhere - it happens. All at once? And no refill offered? Ever? I can go to other locations of the same company and get far better service and additional discounts. They're slightly smaller and not quite as packed, with a smaller liquor menu...but the difference in service is night and day. I chose to join the group for once, and it seems to have been a poor night to do so. I'd rather have good service, and will reward it. | |

Posted: 9/3/2007 12:06:59 PM | What time? I've only been to a few of these and I'm always pretty late. Last week it was almost 9 when I showed up.
According to messages 509 and 522, last week people started showing at just before seven. Try to claim space in the room that's straight forward at the top of the stairs. I'm not sure how to recognize each other. I only know five or six of the regulars, and at least two of those aren't going to be there this week.
