Posted: 10/28/2006 8:02:27 AM | Having advertisers like the flower people on here is what keeps it a free site, if you don't want to spend money on flowers noone is forcing you. As for those who may be communicating or seeing eachother a while here its a nice idea, more convienent than having to find a shop in the right area. You may not know the address of the person yet, also and they can do that for you. Sheeeeesh people arn't happy here unless they have somthing to complain about...

Posted: 10/28/2006 9:40:14 AM | I got an email from one lady to whom I sent flowers that arrived well over a week ago (growerflowers delivered on the day as promised). She says she has been changing the water and misting them and they are just as beautiful as when she first got them.
I may be going out on a limb but it sounds to me she's really appreciative of the flowers. Lots of times people's actions say way more than their words.
She thanked me again (makes three times she has expressed thanks), and if I may surmise, the happiness they have brought her makes it some of the best money I ever spent.
And too, it makes me feel good about myself ... that I was able to do something so simple that has brought someone else a little more beauty into her world.
Loads of gratitude to Plenty of Fish for a simply ingenious opportunity to express sentiment with more than mere words, and to growerflowers for the beautiful flowers (my lady friend described in glowing terms the beauty of the flower arrangement "Fall Fields." She knew about flowers and plants and was impressed with the grasses included in the arrangement).
I think you guys should pat yourselves on the back for a job well done because you've certainly come up with a winner here. Many thanks. | |

oh wait, you mean on your profile page? You would have had to fill in the zip/postal code here on POF. There are privacy laws that would mean the flower site couldnt share your info, I am sure. | |

i dont have that kinda money TO LOSE but i have thought about sending some. i guess i really am concerned about it not being real.
with all that said ......it is a wonderful idea...at least this way if the person is fake they dont learn where you live and so forth... | |

She told me I would be nuts to take her back a third time, but thats why she sent the flowers, hoping for me to take her back a third time.

And lo and behold the flowers I had selected on my first order were no longer offered. So I guess I'll give it another shot.
But so far this new service is only batting at 50%.  | |
