| Plentyoffish, Now with Flowers. Posted: 10/13/2006 10:08:50 AM | Hi,
This is some advice to those that have issues with creditcard info online.
First I'd like to say that this is an excellent idea, real flowers beat any virual gift.
So, those that question usung thier creditcard info online should read about it online. Many services that are acknowledged these days are multiple times more save than using any credit card or bank card for that matter in a store or other retail facility.
Know this you can get your cards scanned at retailers when you make a purchase and are instantly alowing acces to the "criminals" who want your money.
Look in the news, gasstations having thier pumps fixed with cover plates identical to original for the soul purpose of recording your card info, or stores that for years have been known to have camera's to record your pin so they can get access to your account and money.
So think of being online, if you read how to make your payments and follow all the instructions you have a lot more control over your given information and nobody is looking over your shoulder to get your info.
Take it from me, web purchases are safe these days, if you fear fraud, worrie about paying at the store or gasstation because the criminal knows that we all are guilty of making that second nature and we don't stand still to think of possible theft.
All the best to you flower loving and giving PoF users.

I have a suggestion. Would you please consider opening the flowers page in a new window, instead of opening in the same window? I am sure there are issues about passing the username and other relevant information.
Since people are asking so many questions, I think a FAQs page/thread can't be too far behind!!!

| Plentyoffish, Now with Flowers. Posted: 10/13/2006 11:40:51 AM | I have received flowers from someone I had only chatted with online. I still have not met him as he lives too far away and has managed to snag himself another fish.
I thought it was a very sweet gesture and I did not feel the slightest bit 'obligated' to him, nor should anyone else, man or woman.

| Plentyoffish, Now with Flowers. (yes, but why can't we have free virtual flowers like other sites) Posted: 10/13/2006 3:44:27 PM | i love the plenty of fish site. its very nice. However, your motto is "put away your credit card" and yet you managed to have "credit card enabled flowers" before giving people the ability to send free-of-charge virtual flowers like other dating sites. Also many people have already mentioned that it would also be fair to at least enable men to be able to send virtual winks (because currently only women can do that).
You can see the discussion below in my post to the review thread (dated 10/6/06 before there ever was the newest invention of credit card enabled flowers): http://forums.plentyoffish.com/1396216datingPostpage19.aspx
That doesn't seem right to me, especially if your motto is put away your credit card and especially since so many other dating sites have free virtual flowers and free winks for men and women anyways.
Anyway, I still like POF overall

Hopefully the admin might consider it. So then folks can send free virtual flowers and maybe even winks (and if there are folks who don't want that, they can just turn off the function just like they can turn off IM's).
If they've got the technology to send virtual flowers, with credit card, and keeping your address separate I know they have the ability to send virtual flower/ virtual winks and enable people not to recieve them if they don't want them. Still this site is really great in my humble opinion.
Love for all,
