Posted: 11/10/2006 1:40:27 PM | | Pretty Simple solution. I've worked in bars, You tell the drunk or whoever, one time only, not to invade your space. You don't want him even speaking to you! If he bothers you again, the proper thing to do at that point, is call him outside. Before you hit the guy, you may point out once again, "Look buddy, I told you to stay away from me, so you either respect my wishes, or this is it" There is a very good chance you will never be bothered bothered again, Never hit someone in the bar. If you can avoid it! | |

This guy gets on your nerves but he is truly defenseless. Tell the bartenders he is bothering you and they will handle it. You obviously have a conscience or you wouldn't be discussing this. I don't think you would feel good about hurting this guy even if it got rid of him. This is the difference between the men and the "boys".

Posted: 12/3/2006 10:43:04 PM | I've had something very close to this happen to me and it sucks because if you do stomp the guy then... Congrats on beating up a drunk guy that couldn't fight his way out of a paper sack anyway, unless he is somekind of a badass or you are both drunk but you are both not drunk or you would have already elevated the sitituation beyound where you are currentlly.
In the end the Manager of the bar told the bartenders to cut him off when he got a certain drunk and he ended up leaving the bar and going somewhere else. | |

I went to the bar a little while ago and saw him for the first time since then. he was on the other side of the bar, looked up and saw me. The look on his face... SHOCK!!! I smiled, gave him a thumbs up sign, he returned the gesture... and we ignored each other the rest of the night.

Posted: 12/15/2006 1:31:10 AM | You've done remarkably well - very mature handling of the situation. I don't know that I could have done the same there at the end, with the whole finger in the nose thing, and the arm around the shoulders - a woman would have let him have it.
If it happens again, you should talk to the bartenders. If the place is that small, there probably isn't a manager - but if the owner is there, then speak to them. I am curious - how does this fellow get home? You need to scope out his ride - then if he drives, let the cops know! After being pulled over and spending the nite in the drunk tank, going to court and all, maybe it'll help - or at least keep him out of the bar for a few days/nites... Nice to know that no matter how drunk he was, he DID remember your altercation - maybe that'll help to reign him in a bit! | |

Then i'll leave the place to avoid being beatdown by a bunch of bouncers/security guards/police.
As for seeing this guy again at the bar later on its best to just...
who am I kidding...knock that f*cker out again if you have too.
I think you need to grow a pair. Maybe thats why she's your 'now' ex-wife. | |
