The native born women’s attitude towards men is absolute crap and virtually all of them are overweight. Wow Great Tiger Guy! I'm so surprised you haven't been snatched up yet.
What's that saying, "I may be fat, but you're ugly... and I can lose weight." Certainly seems to apply here.

There is some interesting things about So. Cal. You would think the whales live near the beach but the opposite is true here. The more inland you get the fatter the chicks become. And man are they fat! Hollywood and Beverley Hills seems to be a magnet for the worst of the worst, a Mecca for high maintenance gold diggers, no surprises here. In general the dating scene is very very bad here. I only hook up with girls who are from other countries. The native born women’s attitude towards men is absolute crap and virtually all of them are overweight. California women: fact or myth? A cruel joke is more like it. They are very self-centered, don’t marry them what ever you do. I have heard from many guys that the dating scene is much better elsewhere. And from what I have experienced it seems to be true.
I am sorry that you have had such a bad experience. I can certainly see that it must be difficult with the charm, tact, and humility you exude to have faced these trials and tribulations in the local dating pool. Fortunately for you, women from other countries still flock to California in search of the dream man, so lucky foreign girls will certainly be pleased to run into such a gem like you.
I wish you all the best of luck. Perhaps staking out a spot in the international section of LAX would be helpful?
I'm all about helpful ideas you know.
Ciao fella!

| California women: fact or myth? Posted: 10/21/2007 6:12:15 PM | It is a myth. California women will not sleep with you on the first date that is true... but most of us know what we are made off, we have good self esteem. I think the .com era disbalanced things here. I have seen that many successfull men want a trophy wife. So it is simple supply and demend. So if you are willing to pay then you will find one of those women who will use you for your wallet. Don't spend 100$ on the first or second date and see who will date you for you. I have many wonderful women friends who are looked over because they don't look like a trophy girlfriend. So if go for a trophy girlfriend pay up, or date in your own league and find love. You will find so sympathy from me sorry.............. | |

I only hook up with girls who are from other countries. I am sure those foreign girls are far more impressed with your language skills than we "native" girls are. They won't notice you are functionally illiterate. We, the women of California would love it if you focused on the dating scene elsewhere. Thanks for playing the "display the fact you are a complete jackass in the forums" game.
Whew, that means us native girls are safe here. I feel better now.

| California women: fact or myth? Posted: 10/21/2007 7:20:25 PM | Go Mominatrix... Guys guys as a foreign girl I will tell you the truth. Foreign women think American men have money....you can go to any country that has a lower standard of living and you can date a 19 year trophy g/f old no matter how old you are... The solution is date on your own league......I am not expecting Tom Cruz to drop out of the sky... But here in California why most of you want a supermodel? | |

| California women: fact or myth? Posted: 10/21/2007 7:32:08 PM | Aside from the entertainment value of watching some ridiculous schmuck get publically spanked by four or five of our finest Cali lady fish,
I do have a problem with the term "trophy wife" or "trophy girlfriend".
Sounds suspiciously like many of the women are spreading the same kind of crap that so many of the men are in this thread.
Like- California women are great EXCEPT for the pretty ones.
WTF?
What exactly constitutes a "trophy wife"? The fact that she's hot and looks good on his arm? How condescending to suggest that all good-looking women are somehow less worthy of love than other women.

I had to go back aloooooong ways to see what all the commotion is about...
Don't know where you got that idea Dude, But it appears that you are in a class all by yourself. It could possibly be that Momma did not love you enough, or that you could have some emotional bonding issues, what ever the case... you might need to seek some professional help. Wait I know you are just immature ... Did I guess right!?
Anyone with eyes can see the women on this site are above reproach from the likes of your type. Were you possibly switched at birth? or maybe neglected....? I really do not care, but please leave California, to seek your off world beauty.... If it's one thing we do not need here is one bad apple .... you can guess the rest.
Untill you are intouch with your feelings you will probably have relationship issues... that is my best guess. Adios MF. No one will miss your butt/ i mean face here!!!

As a couple of others have said, good luck and much happiness with your move. Good riddance and relief for the women in your area. I personally know a few men who have had the need to import their wives from other countries. This is because they cannot get along with women within their own culture. They have some intolerable habits that are unacceptable to an adult woman....like living with their mommy at 40, marginal employment, or unable to be responsible. So, they feel the need to seek someone overseas who is desperate for a better life. Some (on both sides of the equation) have been taken advantage of. Best to you and don't let the door hit you on your way out.

What exactly constitutes a "trophy wife"? The fact that she's hot and looks good on his arm? How condescending to suggest that all good-looking women are somehow less worthy of love than other women. The trophy wife is a specific type of woman. The trophy wife is the one the selfish poop head husband dumps the wife who got older and tired raising his children for. She is usually much younger and makes the man feel powerful and more potent that he can catch the younger girls. They look up to men, because they don't know any better. The trophy wife is known for her ability to stand still and not make much noise, like a trophy on your shelf. I know some very beautiful and sexy women, like Cooky... but most of them cannot keep quiet for that long, because well, they have thoughts.
There are trophy husbands as well. It's just sort of a different concept... "My husband is a lawyer and drives a bbw..." "My husband is a doctor and drive a jaguar and gives me as much as I can spend..." The trophy wives have the trophy husband. When your life comes down to shallowness across the board, you are like a useless statue on a shelf.

| California women: fact or myth? Posted: 10/21/2007 10:01:39 PM | Now, Mom, Cookie, Miss W, Christy, and all of you lovely women who took such eloquent offense, I've got two things to say. First of all, the shoe definitely doesn't fit you. Even when you weren't interested in me (God only knows why! LOL), you were nice to me about it. I appreciate that.
However, y'all are somewhat rare in my experience. --both in giving me a chance and in demurring without rancor.
I thought things were tough with the Berkeley feminist crowd, but women down here can really be hostile! --and I'm not just talking about the gold diggers. It spooked me so much that one of the first threads I started in these very forums was "Why so Hostile in Southern California?"
I don't know. Maybe I just lightened up or something, but dating around here can really be tough on a guy. I don't have a lot of respect for the choice to import a compliant mate, but there were days when I could certainly understand the impulse. Youch!
So, much as I love you all, I have to tell you that you've got some really hard-ass sisters running around down here. I'm _really_ glad I found you.
Still friends?

I like to be driven.
I just read where the hubbub was coming from and can only say: Consider the source.
*shudder*

| California women: fact or myth? Posted: 10/21/2007 10:58:54 PM | Cookie you have to live in Silicon Valley, like me and Momi, girl I did not realize you live near me.... no wonder we have the same opionions......grrrrrrrr need to move out of Silicon Valley...all of us Momi, and Cookie are pretty but would not be trophy wives or g/fs. Ok let's see stereotypically they are very young, about 20-something and only date men who are older with money, and only care about themselves... and have everything plastic...from personality to credit cards to plastic surgery... The type Donald Tramp dates... plastic in the outside plastic inside. Also there are many nice good looking women here, don't take me wrong...I have many pretty wonderfull friends who are ignored because they don't fit sometype of dream type.
Aceofspace I am sure there also some nice ones there. My northern California male friends say women in southern California are friendlier. What is wrong with Berkeley Feminist? What type of woman are you looking for? I don't know... You can find a nice or rude woman anywhere I guess.

Uhm, last I looked, Riverside was *not* in Silicon Valley.
Now where was I?
Oh yes...
The obvious troll. Hey brother, how's that working out for you?
Is it the vague resemblence to a gerbil loving actor, or those ever so sharp rose colored... Oh hold it, your Gay! That would explain it. Brother, we are in California, come on out of that closet and announce yourself, you won't find a more accepting crowd, the hiding behind woman hating thing is so 70's...
Oh, your not gay? Just a moron... Damn, I was going to Suggest that Bob give you a little counseling on how to deal with your sexuality. (Sorry Bob, but you are the only one I know of in this forum that might be nice enough to help the guy out)
Being that you are in fact just a moron, here's to hoping that they come up with a pill for that.

| California women: fact or myth? Posted: 11/6/2007 4:57:22 PM | Some people had commitments to friends in need, and could not just blow them off to go to lunch...
But next time you are up, I promise a Bbq, home made booze and wild party hats.

I think I have a max capacity of about 20 people though, so it would have to be a consideration.
Hmm, unless I wait for Spring, then I can use the pool... I am so sure the HOA would love me ::busts up::

They could all ride together, share a hotel room and have a marvelous time finishing off your Big Bottle.

| California women: fact or myth? Posted: 11/8/2007 6:10:43 PM | the transplants seem to be worse than the natives.
it's like they move here, start dating some broke dude in a band, and think they are all hot shit.
whatever though, there are always diamonds in the rough so don't deal with those kinda girls if ya don't wanna pamper to them.

| California women: fact or myth? Posted: 11/25/2007 3:02:42 PM | | Well, I guess I don't fit in.... I've lived in Southern California almost my entire life. I've worked half my life in customer service field, paid all my bills & my apt. rental. Married 3 times to men that never had money (perhaps they were gold diggers). My last husband has no money, but his father has money (which my husband told about, but we're now separated). As for being shallow & self centered, you can't call me that. I've met more shallow & self centered guys, than women. Then again, I don't have too many women friends. | |
