| 45 is it to old? Posted: 10/10/2007 9:07:41 AM | My eyes and joints don't work so well any more and I'm not any taller than I was in college but the women still want "tall and athletic" no matter how short they are. I guess they figure brains don't work as well in thinner air and "simpler" is easier to manipulate.
I still don't like the smell of tobacco but most women on POF smoke. I guess at 45, it still hasn't killed them yet.
I'm still not drinking near enough to keep up with most on POF but I have no plans to drink more or hang out in smoke filled bars drinking and lying.
I still have kids at home but women this age want their "freedom" and some clearly hate kids. Some say they will accept men with kids only if they abandon them but they demand integrity, honesty, and loyality????????
The women seem no more honest now than when younger, still play social games with men, and don't want men to be honest with them: "Does it make me look fat?" "Which of my friends is most attractive" etc.
Maybe 45 is still too immature for many U.S. women.
A relative of mine married a foreign doctor. After a few years for her to become licensed in the US, they now live in twice the house I have and are looking to move up...again. I just got a letter from an attractive foreign doctor who read my profile. Maybe it's time to learn another language even at my age although her English was better than most I see on POF and I don't see near that level of education.
Sorry this post is not full of the gushing platitudes demanded by the thread title but I don't do the player games women seem to thrive on and I guess honesty has to win occasionally.
Was I supposed to say something about looks?
Negativity out of the system. I'm off to the outdoors. Sailing season is back and camping season has begun. The river was up and the float trip with the scouts a blast. The college game I attended this weekend was excellent with a one point difference and I had connections to both teams! Life is good even without someone my age to share it with. Maybe a doctor could help with the aches and pains of the fun.

| 45 is it to old? Posted: 10/10/2007 1:44:13 PM | | I think 45 is a great age actually. By then, women know what they want and are a little more inclined to be comfortable sharing it with you. Life is too short to not tell your partner (or potential partner) what you like, love and hate. | |

| 45 is it to old? Posted: 10/11/2007 8:25:12 PM | You can be young at any age. Age is mostly in the mind. I prefer to live life with the wisdom I have earned and the outlook of many more fun times to be had. | |

| 45 is it to old? Posted: 10/26/2007 4:25:48 PM | I'm only 31, but if I were 45, and single...I couldn't see any reason why someone just didn't deserve to be loved all the same. I mean, why should it matter if you're 25 or 85, you're human with emotions and the capacity of love...so why not find it? I wish you luck on here! -hugs-

| 45 is it to old? Posted: 10/27/2007 6:20:54 PM | If it is ....I'm a dead man! I turned 61 in April. I can do and have the desire to do anything I could at 40. My last gfriend still has her eyes crossed, she is 46. It depends on the man....sometimes 40 is too old or maybe even 37. I mean who knows when our time is up? Live everyday like it's your last! Still going strong | |

| 45 is it to old? Posted: 10/29/2007 5:16:09 PM | I'm too old to hand out candy on the 31st LOL, I would rather eat it :) Of course it wasn't hitting the 45 mark that made me that way. I think it is just being a woman and I need that candy high......

| 45 is it to old? Posted: 11/7/2007 4:15:24 PM | | I am 47 and loving it...My kids are own their own, I have a good job that keeps me busy and if I want to go out and do something there is no looking for a babysitter...lol. I think age is what you make of it. I feel younger than I am, I take care of myself and just plain ole enjoy life. I can hang with a young crowd, a crowd in my age group or those older than me, it doesn't matter. | |

| 45 is it to old? Posted: 11/14/2007 5:03:50 AM | Some lived and learned advice. Life begins at 40 or at least did for me. Before i was 40 life controlled me, after 40 i controlled life. Now that i am 51 i am living a life to where i realized i really never got oloder, i got better looking and my brain is still 16 and groovy like the good ol days.

| 45 is it to old? Posted: 11/27/2007 1:23:17 PM | | I am 58 and often find that I am told I am too old. Later, on the dance floor, I am informed that I act and perform like I was 17. Yes, I can do "dirty dancing" just like Patrick Swayze in the movie, "Dirty Dancing!" For me, it is simple, love does not know age!!! It is a matter of attraction. Give them something to think about and they might change their minds!!! | |

| 45 is it to old? Posted: 11/28/2007 6:07:33 PM | My Grandfather got remarried for his last time when he was in his upper 60's. About 67.
I am about to turn 45 this Dec.. I worry about how many years I have left in me to please a companion. I am old fashioned which means I don't have sex with every loose woman that looks my way. I believe in Love first. So that means for last 8 years... Well the words you don't use it you lose it plagues my mind..
So I do worry about growing older each year. I wonder how many years an average man has in him. These things I've never considered to even contemplate looking into. Its something that is forbidden from my younger Generation. Sex was a secret when I was a child.
Though I am turning 45, I don't feel like I am too old. I can still ride, heck when we get off of the horses my 21 complains about being sore and I feel great. I can't run any more, but I can walk 20 miles easy.
Three of my cousins when they hit 40 broke down and cried. Everyone figured I would too. So far it hasn't happened, I don't feel over the hill any. I look ahead and go, "Heck Grandfather was 67 when he got married." I keep waiting for the 40's thing to up and smack the side of my head.
I feel loneliness a lot, but heck I been all alone since 1999 and I was only like 36 back then. So between age 36 to 45.. I don't see a difference. So I have to say no it isn't too old. Might ask me again in 5 years if 50 is too old. Who knows, I sure don't. | |
