Posted: 8/5/2007 2:38:33 AM | | Mazda Series 4 RX7 - jap import, i had always wanted a rotor since highschool and had driven other cars (family run arounds) up until the day i got the cash to get wat i wanted outright. Brap Brap Brap! I still have this car and will keep it forever as i have spent so much on it and i will never get that money back. Will get a new little hatchback for a normal car in the future with the warranty and all that jazz.

The regulator didn't work so when the battery over charged the tape player would speed up, we had to turn the lights and the wipers on to slow it down. Mind you it was England we pretty much had to have them on anyway

Lost my virginity in that car. As is traditional.
Love is bigger than a Honda. And it's bigger than a Subaru. (that's true) But honey you don't have to drive it, you can park it out the back, and have a party in my pink cadillac.

a 17 year old with a cruise missile, interesting to note I got my licence the NT where you can get it at aged 16, on L-Plates for a minimum of 2 wks, and straight onto P-Plates for only 12 mths with no restriction on what you may drive, I actually bought the car before I had my L-Plates.....
and before anyone says anything....I've managed 2 speeding fines in roughly 19 years.

I pretended to smoke Alpine (couldnt drawback) I had a permanent tan and drank Summer Wine thinking I was SO sophisticated and hung around the Greenhills, Wanda and Cronulla Beach, before there were riots. And the biggest decision of my life then was whether to hang at Caringbah Inn that evening or go to the Cecil pub at Cronulla
God I thought I was cool and for a while I was !!!.
That car got more back seat action from friends, me etc then...than my queen size bed does now...and now Im legal

Some fart-sucker stole it after only 3 weeks of me owning it and left it totally f*cked up in Mt Druit. My girlfriend at the time saw it being stolen, called the cops to tell them it would be driving past Annandale Police station in a minute's time and they said she'd have to come in and file a report before they'd do anything. Next was a dodgy mazda Capella 1300 auto that found a telegraph pole, then a '73 Honda civic that I blew up (gotta put oil in them you know!), a string of Torana's and a lovely HD, then came the vans, liteace, townace, ford crapi turbo...next week i'm buying either a beemer (328i convertible) or an Arsito (bad to the bone Toyota import- the 17 year old in me is calling out!)

| What was the first car you ever owned. Posted: 3/15/2008 2:14:17 AM | It seems like life is going full circle. I'm in the process of doing up a first car for my daughter. I was able to pick up a ord laser TX3 hacth for a very good price. Some youths had tried to break in by smashing a pallet into the drivers door which smashed the Drivers door glass and they then ripped out a bit of dash to try and hotwire it.
First up it went to the autoelectricians to get the fuel pump replaced along with the wireing under the dash and an aircon top up. Then it was next door to the maechanics for a water pump, new timing belt and battery.
Next I'll purchase a door from the wreckers and replace that. Then it's off for some new tyres and we're nearly done.
I've told my daughter I'll put it on the road for her, but she has to buy seat covers and whatever else she wants. She went and got a job and is n ow saving for a doof-doof and a sports steering wheel....
It's great seeing how excitied she is...She has been washing it and vacuuming it and basically getting it ready for the road which is great.....Gotta love the first car

I loved that you could do all the work on it yourself - three on the tree manual, 173 red motor - plenty pf space under the bonnet, and perfect for trips to Geelong or Portsea for diving.
How to describe the colour? My friends called itmy Pus coloured Torana (yuck - beige)
Loved it though, and only got rid of it in 1990 because the drivers floor pan rusted out :-(
