Instead of whining and complaining about whats wrong with America, why not offer a few ideas on how to fix these perceived problems with America? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to complain and whine with whats wrong with something. Well NSS! So now what? | |

There are tons of people who seem to hate everything America stands for and yet thrive under the blanket of the very freedom it provides, all the while denying that the blanket even exists. Our free speech allows anyone, no matter how dogmatic and ill-conceived her ideas, to spout her opinion to anyone who cares to listen (and many who don't).
Isn't it funny how those who claim to champions of "tolerance" have absolutely no tolerance for those who disagree with them, but immediately begin slinging trite, overused and redundant labels and personal innuendos? If liberals told the truth, they would admit that they are as conformist as army ants. | |

Hmm, the current administration doesn't tolerate dissent in the ranks? Must also not tolerate diversity as well I bet. "Draft Dodgers" too? From what source did you get these facts and did you forget a few more of the facts too? Thats ok though, those who know their facts are pretty much squared on this "draft Dodging" stuff folks like you who share the same opinion try to shovel.
Amazing though, it was never a problem when Clinton was in office. How Ironic, eh? But thats ok, two set standards exists by folks like you.

With that aside however, you asked if calling a bunch of folks like you who whine and complain all the time "self Serving". Think so? And does calling the President of the United States, YOUR president, a draft dodging shrub serve some higher purpose? Yeah sure, again with the two sets of standards. I get it, really. So does the majority of Americans (51%) who elected Bush to a second term and trounced old boy Kerry on his aspirations!

Bush has held the fewest press conferences of a President of his tenure and barring some life altering experience for him he'll smash the record when all is said and done. My brother didn't get a nepotistic appointment in the National Guard, and even though Cheney's health would have kept him home he never met a deferment he didn't like. Yeah, Clinton dodged too, many did. The point is you know how much your boys, particulary Rich Swift Boat Funding Texas Republicans from the Schrubya's inner circle, called the kettle black on this one now don't you? If I spent a year in Service somehwere I sure hope more than one person would have remembered me now wouldn't I? If my nephew joins the Texas National Guard should he be allowed to go to alabama to work on a political campaign. Kerry is a clown, would have won without that botoxariffic frown. You get the last word tonight Jack or whoever, I'm exhausted and forgot what I was really working on beyond the fishbowl an hour ago. Many thanks all! | |

You are quickly becoming my favorite poster here at POF. Granted we share sharply different ideologies, I am as entertained with your stances as you are of mine. So with that said,

I fail to understand why folks like you who share the opinions (and outright hate) for the President and VP always wish to bring up the National Guard thing. GD son, get over it. The point is lost either side either way.
But should you bring that up, in the same breath it should be mentioned of Clinton, Gore and Kerry's military records. Oh I am sorry, Kerry has yet to release his full military records even still today. Gore was out takin' pictures in '68 and good ol southern Billy Bub was at Oxford luckily.
Speaking of Kerry, I find it still odd he got out of the Military yet his discharge was not completed until nearly 10 years later. And I wont bring up the purple heart issues, as it seems embarassing to Kerry. What a stiff piece of wodd he is, and I ain't talking the kind that causes splinters either! 
"My boys"? "The Swift Boat Vets"? Well, if they were "my" boys, they need a friggin raise! Oh sure, it was ok for Moveon.org to put up their filthy crap comparing Bush to Hitler but God forbid anyone trying to put some info up about Kerry. The left slanted media was astounded by the latter but gave the former a pass.

Yet if he was a clown, were it not for the botox thing, military records thing, and his "I voted for... before I voted against it", he would have won. And thats ok with you???? To have him, a clown you called him, elected to the highest office in the land and to be THE most powerful man in the world?

I myself was the happiest when I was hitchhiking across the country. You presume that more money equals happiness, and that people are poor due to lack of education. If that were the case then what about the Yale graduates that are panhandling and what about those business men that gave up there career to live on a small island.

People that stress about lack of money are those that want the things that the rich have, but not all of us want that. I go to work, I pay my bills and I enjoy life with my family that's all I want out of the world. I will probably never buy a house, because when my daughter leaves home I am going to sell everything and go back on the road, the only place I feel comfortable. | |
