| what does the future hold for us? Posted: 4/30/2007 6:32:09 AM | i have to disagree that the "me" first was a key to survival for eearly man...
in fact its when man "pools" his/her resources...hunts collectively that the human species really begins to evolve...i hate to say it but no single early man went around slaying "saber tooth chipmunks let alone saber tooth tigers".
Now certainly competition has played a role...but i think we overstate its importance...all creatutes on this planet compete for the limited resources available..but in most cases (humans excepeted) they find a balance with the ecosystem...where humans generally dont..we compete ourselves out of existence.
Sure everyone has bad days including mother Teresa and the Dalai Lama...but life is always a test...its just some of us take different lessons from it...most seem to think that the best way to endure the "toughness" of life is to get thier goods and run...this is not a genetic trait...its a learned one...one can argue endlessly about "nature vs. nuture"...but you cant deny that so much of todays society has little to do with making life better for anyone than ourselves...
But i maintain...baldness is evolutionaryprogress of our races abilty to get "pretty"..lol | |
