SPP, NAFTA, NAU ~ Why?

One aspect of the whole 'NAU' agenda that I've found interesting is the attention given to individual pieces of the puzzle (i.e., unsecured borders, amnesty, transtexas corridor, mexican trucking, etc) and the painfully slow movement to connect all the dots in order to see the whole NAU picture. Here is "A Timeline of Progress Toward a NAU" (desperately needs updating, but you get the idea)

COLUMN: America Has A Lot to Learn From the EU
By: Colby Lyons

Two weeks ago, I discussed the impending creation of the North American Union. There have been many who have shrugged off the warnings of what is happening to our nation, dismissing the well-informed individuals giving these warnings as conspiracy theorists. When considered alone, these warnings are grave enough. However, when one considers these warnings in light of what is occurring in Europe, the creation of a North American Union is much more ominous.

There are many parallels between the creation of the current European Union and the creation of a North American Union. If the citizens of the U.S., Mexico and Canada are not careful, we may find ourselves in the same situation the people of many nations of Europe are facing.

The European Union was not created overnight. Its foundation was laid in 1951 with the European Steel and Coal Community. This began the process of economic integration that has led to the further political integration of Europe.

The European Steel and Coal Community evolved gradually. Eventually, the European Economic Community was formed. This community later became the European Community. The European Community led to the current European Union.

Throughout this process, there were many who warned of a future political merger. These people were silenced by the architects of the EU and their allies.

European citizens were told repeatedly by their leaders that there were no plans for political integration. British journalist Christopher Brooker said British citizens were assured that the European Common Market was merely "an economic agreement: a kind of free-trading area primarily concerned with creating jobs and prosperity." People were told the agreements would lead to "harmonization," "integration" and "convergence." However, political integration was planned all along.

This should serve as a red flag to all Americans, as our leaders are feeding us the same lies about NAFTA, the FTAA and the SPP. These agreements have also been sold as mere economic agreements. However, these agreements are also paving the way for political integration.

I'm very paranoid of this happening but at the same time to it would never fly in Canada. We are paranoid of American Expansionism and we always have been , it's sewed into our National Identity.

Laughingstock.....I would encourage you (if you haven't already) to read from the link I posted above. The timeline is provided by Vive le Canada.

The (secret) movement towards a NAU dates back many, many years. I liken it to the frog in the pot who doesn't recognize when the heat is rising until and then it's too late. Our POTUS and the bipartisan allies of the NAU agenda (pro-illegal immigration members of the Open Borders Lobby) have repeatedly mocked those (few) who have 'connected the dots' and question the agenda (the majority of whom are fighting illegal immigration and amnesty (just a single piece of the puzzle)).

I speak often with Americans, including my own adult sons) who also say it (the loss of American sovereignty) would never fly in the US. What they seem not to accept is that it is already happening. That's because our attention (when it can be caught) is being kept solely on each of the individual 'dots', i.e., border security, amnesty, Mexican truckers, Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, TransTexas Corridor, etc., rather than the big picture. Like frogs in a pot, I believe that most will not recognize what's happening until it's too late. In the end, I often wonder what issue our governments will use to convince us that this union is in our best interest. Here in the states, I believe it will be our economy.

Better start stocking up on food and weapons folks. Martial law is just around the corner.
When the reality of the SPP and NAU finally hits home, people are going to revolt. The Government will have no choice but to turn on it's own. I for one am getting more prepared everyday...I was born free and will die fighting to stay that way...

A good way to start turning things around would be to stop voting for anyone who's affiliated with the Council on Foreign Relations, vote them out of office. Unfortunately, most citizens in this country have no clue and continue to vote for these globalist politicians(whether a globalist republican like McCain or a globalist democrat like Hillary or Obama) who will do nothing to stop an NAU from coming into being.
Here's a good website to find out who's worth keeping and who's worth voting out of office.

One of my favorite relevant vids on Youtube. Enjoy, this shows what people are up against. They are the lowest and they are the terrorists as well. Global corporations and the soulless peons are abetting the world central banking system and the global military industrial complex to rule over Canadians. People of all nations have to join together and stop the insanity that is the quest for control of man and earth by a few. There are so many scams and so many distractions that so many ignorant people fall for and support, it is amazing we are not completely under fascist rule.

People need to realize what is important and what is not and what has true value and what is worthless.

They have debased our common exchange mechanisms and currency for 1,000's of years and for centuries they have been debasing the planet as well as the human spirit by essentially promoting materialistic thinking and selfishness to our young.

They teach that idle time is the goal and reward we earn for working hard to produce material and to advance its value.

So many are so lost and are truly without spirit and purpose as they are merely consumers and statistics that live to be amused and entertained. Our the human race now consumes many times more, the volume of food we produce on the planet. People better get back to farming and realize that the corporatist, those who are globally minded, have debased all the food that you find within fast food joints and corporate owned grocery stores. They have put many poisons and chemicals and more into the food chain, many on purpose with the intent to harm us all. They have done it to the water supply as well, do you actually believe that fluoride is good for us?

The change starts when people go back to spirit and good intent and good purpose in lieu of being greedy, selfish and living for idle time, amusement and entertainment. People need to wake up from the show that the elites direct and produce which has given us the royals, the celebrities, professional sports, the diamond scam, the war racket, fiat money and much more.

But then again, since so many are soulless and spiritless, they are like moths to light when it comes to the scams and rackets as they are attracted to that which is soulless and spiritless as well. If one can play make-believe really well or sing pretty or be able to play a kids game really well with a ball is nothing to celebrate nor is it reason to elate one above others or to lavish those who are good at worthless things with riches.

People are so stupid when they are without spirit and those who are memorized and worshiping material, fooled by the illusion and abetting the frauds being committed against all man and earth are without spirit, wake up, it returns, it is that simple.

Quoting Brock Chisholm (the first director of the UN World Health Organization (WHO):
"To achieve world government it's necessary to remove from the minds of men, their individualism, their loyalty to their families, national patriotism and religion."

Well then, we are certainly on track for NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM ... New World Order. People still don't know the phrase is on the reverse side of their dollars ..... I don't think they've ever given it a thought.

The words most frequently used to describe their goals are "economic integration," "labor mobility," "free movement of goods, services and people across open borders," and "harmonization" of regulations.
The report explains that the three SPP amigos at Waco "committed their governments" to "Building a North American Community" by 2010 with a common "outer security perimeter," "the extension of full labor mobility to Mexico," allowing Mexican trucks "unlimited access," "totalization" of illegal immigrants into the U.S. Social Security system, and "a permanent tribunal for North American dispute resolution."
The prestigious Center for Strategic & International Studies published a report in 2007 called "North American Future 2025 Project." It advocates "economic integration," the "free flow of people across national borders" and "policies that integrate governments."
The white paper explains that SPP's "design" is for the executive branch to exercise full "authority" to "enforce and execute" whatever is decided by a three-nation agreement of "civil service professionals" as though it were "law." That means evading treaty ratification and even congressional legislation and oversight.
Don't forget the importance of the Wall Street Journal and its longtime, very influential editorial-page editor, the late Robert Bartley. When Mexico's Fox called for NAFTA to evolve into something like the European Union, Bartley wrote: "There is one voice north of the Rio Grande that supports his vision. To wit, this newspaper."
In his book "Post-Capitalist Society," influential business writer Peter F. Drucker wrote, "The economic integration of the three countries into one region is proceeding so fast that it will make little difference whether the marriage is sanctified legally or not."

the answer to the question posed...money.

i spent some time last summer in chiapas, mexico...and what nafta is doing there is annihilating the indigenous culture ...the proud zapatistas are fighting the good fight to keep their way of life alive...and i respect them greatly for that...but evil greed is rampant....and there seems to be no justice.

I'm thinking of doing the same, but not sure what gun to get. I'm leaning towards an AK, because of the durability. We better save America, because there will be no other free place left to run to.

I have been suspecting that the "war on terror" as just being a distraction for some time. Real threats like China, And the NAU .

When are people going to wake up?

People don't realize this is a symtom of a much larger problem. First we got the EU, and now we're on the verg of a North American Union. Shortly afterwards there will be a South American Union, and an African Union there will also be one for Asia. Most of them are further along than the NAU.

South American Union:

African Union
http://www.africa-union.org/

Asian Union

http://www.southasianunion.net/

BTW to poster above....the NAU is not about greed. The founders have more money than they will ever be able to spend in their lifes. It's all about power and control. Nothing more, and nothing less.

Do you mean the Trans Texas Corridor aka TTC which is also called part of the NAFTA Superhighway? They are and will use lots of eminent domain claims to take people's land, to further enhance NAFTA(which has caused increased illegal immigration and the loss of many blue collar jobs in the U.S.). They don't call it a NAFTA Superhighway officially, its now referred to as the regional loop according to an article I posted in this thread earlier.

Got this today.

Stephen Harper has just shut down the Co-ordinated Access to Information Requests system site. The CBC blog about it is overwhelmingly expressing alarm. There is a petition you can sign calling for CAIRS to be brought back http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/saveCAIRS/

Write a letter to your MP and MLA demanding that CAIRS be re-established. It cost $50,000 a year to operate, a small price to pay for government transparency. It provides invaluable information to organizations and researchers allowing them to see what the government has been doing behind closed doors.

Please sign the petition write a letter and call in to your local radio shows to raise this issue. Forward this letter to your contacts ASAP.

Thanks

They thought they stopped the NAFTA Superhighway in Oklahoma when an Oklahoma senator said "The NAFTA Superhighway stops here."
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=57915
But they didn't stop it completely, its still a threat as evidenced below.

North American Union
Act Now to Stop Oklahoma NAFTA Superhighway!

Despite massive public opposition, on Tuesday, April 29th, the Oklahoma state legislature approved a bill to allow creation of “Smart Ports” and continuation of the NAFTA Superhighway system in Oklahoma.
The bill is on Governor Brad Henry’s desk. This bill, according to Oklahoma Senator Randy Brogdon, infringes on the State’s rights. The road will be regulated under international law, and the bill waives the State’s 11th Amendment protection from being sued in federal court. This bill must be stopped immediately.
Oklahomans for Sovereignty and Free Enterprise (http://www.ok-safe.com/), or OK-SAFE, is a group of concerned citizens, formed specifically to fight extension of the NAFTA super-highway from Texas through Oklahoma to Kansas. They also fight otherefforts to establish the North American Union. Their educational efforts have been so successful, both with state legislators and members of the general public that a similar bill was defeated last year. Also, an anti-Real ID bill passed unanimously in both the House and Senate last year. And the Senate passed a resolution acknowledging that construction of NAFTA corridors is part of attempts to create a North American Union, and urging Congress “to withdraw...from the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and any other activity which seeks to create a North American Union.”
Opposition to the NAFTA super-corridor has been so strong in Oklahoma, in fact, that Tiffany Melvin and Frank Conde, the executive director and communications/special projects director, respectively, of North America’s SuperCorridor Coalition (NASCO) personally met with the Senate Transportation committee last year. Melkin said their visit was an effort “to eliminate public confusion about NASCO and the SuperCorridor.” Yet during their address to legislators, audio access to the meeting was somehow turned
off, and citizen participants were not allowed their promised time to rebut or question NASCO’s presentation.
There is significant support for NAFTA superhighways in Oklahoma’s public sector. Oklahoma Senator Debbe Leftwich serves as NASCO’s Secretary, and Dawn Sullivan, a planning and research division engineer for Oklahoma’s Department of Transportation (ODOT), is a member of NASCO. ODOT’s annual NASCO dues are $25,000 taxpayer dollars. Another major supporter has been Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett.
Mayor Cornett signed the “Kansas City Declaration” in 2004 at the North American Trade Corridor Partnership (NAITCP) in Kansas City. The “Kansas City Declaration” is defined in the “Summit Report from the 2004 NAITCP” meeting as being “The Declaration of North American Integration.” Also among the 90 signers was Kay Barnes, former Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri.
This document recorded participants’ “shared vision of future cooperation for communities along the NAFTA Trade Corridor in Canada, the United States and Mexico (concluding the) economic vitality and social integration of our communities demand open, dynamic and secure borders.” Mayor Cornett also called for the economic integration of North America in a video interview at the U.S. Conference of Mayors in June of 2004.
In a June 25, 2007, interview with Dr. Jerome Corsi, Mayor Cornett repudiated his signing “The Declaration of North American Integration,” saying “It was a pretty stupid thing to get involved with.”
He further stated, “I am opposed to the extension of the Trans-Texas Corridor into Oklahoma if the whole point (emphasis mine) is to make it cheaper to transport containers from China coming through Mexican ports.”
Adam Rott, founder of Oklahoma Corridor Watch (http://www.oklahomacorridorwatch.com) expressed guarded optimism at Cornett’s repudiation, wondering, “to what extent Cornett’s decision was just politically
expedient. Back (in 2004) Mayor Cornett didn’t answer my phone calls,” Rott said, “but I would like to see what actual steps Cornett is going to take to solidify his repudiation of this declaration.”
Rott’s caution seems justified. The NAFTA Superhighway is designed to come right through the middle of Oklahoma City, and Mayor Cornett’s very clear support of integration was taken in the shadows of a private meeting, without the knowledge and support of his constituents.
Michael Shaw, President of Freedom Advocates (http://www.freedomadvocates.org), very clearly outlined the dangers inherent in these NAFTA superhighways at last year’s Freedom 21 conference when he said, “The Trans Texas Corridor is the literal pathway to the economic equalization of nations. The consequence of creating this (public private partnership) includes an economic, and perhaps a military, Trojan Horse that will be given open landing in America and a colossal road to infuse political/economic Sustainable globalism throughout America. In order to meet the global economic equalization objectives (Sustainable Development) requires global management of trade. Managed trade necessarily means bringing down American production and ultimately middle class standards of living. American economic submission and political
regionalization is designed to lead to a borderless world - The Trans-Texas Corridor is designed as a step toward world governance.”
On a positive note, the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) website
(http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/PPP/legislation.htm) does not yet indicate Oklahoma is among the 21 states that have passed public-private partnership enabling legislation, which the FHWA considers essential to allow private investment consortia to lease existing toll roads or build new toll roads in a state.
It is quite obvious the extent toward which more and more of our government officials have been working overtime, in secret, to establish the North American Union. They are working feverishly to achieve their treacherous objectives in relative secrecy, and without the advice and consent of the citizens they were elected to serve.
Oklahomans are battling what could well be the next Oklahoma land rush - only this time the state will be taking the land back from the people.

Survey: Americans Are Strongly Opposed to the North American Union

(NaturalNews) Americans are catching on to the North American Union scheme and voicing their opposition. The right wing grassroots organization, American Policy Center (APC), has just concluded a survey of one million American households. The survey, titled "Do Americans Support a North American Union" asked a series of questions concerning the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) and the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC). Included with the survey was a four-page report prepared by APC entitled "NAU Fact Sheet", providing details about the SPP, the TTC, as well as an explanation of how these programs are being implemented without public scrutiny in meetings held behind closed doors, like the one just completed in New Orleans.

The chosen households represented no specific political ideological positions. They were from a wide variety of American households living in the direct path of the proposed Trans Texas/NAFTA Corridor, running from Mexico to Canada across the midsection of the U.S. -- learn more at (http://www.naturalnews.com/023058.html) and (http://www.naturalnews.com/022974.html) .
The survey questions were:

1. Have you heard of the Security and Prosperity Partnership? 58 % of those responding said they did Not know about the SPP.

2. Do you think private corporations should have the power to enforce trade policy that may adversely affect our national sovereignty and independence? This question related directly to the establishment of public/private partnerships between private corporations and government, granting no-compete clauses and comprehensive development agreements which provide guarantees by government to the corporations as investment returns. The TTC is not a free enterprise, but is government sanctioned monopolies. As this question was explained by the APC, 95% of respondents Opposed such policy.

3. Chapter 11 of the NAFTA agreement states that disputes over NAFTA-related issues will be heard in NAFTA courts superseding U.S. local, state and federal courts, including the Supreme Court. Question three asked, Do you think this would be a threat to U.S. sovereignty? 91% of respondents said Yes.

4. The SPP calls for expanding the U.S. security perimeter to include the borders of Canada and Mexico. Question 4 asked, Do you think it would strengthen U.S. security to expand our borders to the outer borders of Canada and Mexico? 87% of respondents answered No.

5. Do you think it will strengthen U.S. Border security to allow trucks from Mexico and Canada to travel, free of inspection, up a corridor which has been built and is controlled by foreign corporations into the heartland of the United States? Texas Department of Transportation has already signed a 50-year agreement with a Spanish company named Cintra to build the TTC. In September of 2007, the Bush Administration started a pilot project to allow Mexican trucks to cross the U.S. border without inspections and be free to travel inside the United States. The Senate has also passed the omnibus spending bill that "was clearly written and designed to put the breaks on the current pilot program", according to Senator Byron Dorgan. Yet the Bush Administration, under the leadership of Transportation Secretary Mary Peters, continues the program, now in violation of federal law. 95% of respondents to this survey Opposed the Mexican truck project.

6. Would you support efforts to replace the U.S. dollar with a common North American currency some call the "Amero"? Though denied by the Bush Administration, there has been much discussion about the creation of a North American currency that would mimic the Euro. In an October, 2007 appearance on the Larry King Show on CNN, former Mexican President Fox answered in the affirmative when King asked about the creation of a united currency. 92% of respondents said they would Not support such a common North American currency.

7. Do you believe there should be public hearings and debate on this policy before it is allowed to move forward? So far, there has been no congressional legislation, hearings, or oversight concerning the establishment or operation of the SPP. No federal money has been officially allocated by Congress. No official authority has been provided for the creation of the SPP. 95% of respondents answered Yes, there should be debate and discussion with public participation. Americans believe it is wrong to make such significant national policy changes without debate and discussion.

8. Should the Bush Administration be allowed to move forward with its plans to create a "North American Community" without Congressional approval? Again, the American people have shown they understand that it is Congress which should decide such policy as this. They responded with a resounding 97% No to this question.

9. Do you believe the United States should be "harmonized" or merged into a union with Mexico and Canada? The words most often used by the Administration concerning the SPP are "harmonize" and "integrate". The U.S. is a representative Republic; Mexico is a socialist government; and Canada is part of the British Crown. There are no grounds for "harmonization" unless drastic changes are made to the U.S. judicial and financial systems. 88% said No to harmonization with Mexico and Canada.

10. Respondents were asked to provide comments and thoughts on the SPP. The word most often used was "treason". Another said, "I want no part of the social health care of Canada and I do not want to incorporate Mexico's turmoil and poverty into our United States.". Many others said, "I want secure borders, not easy traffic between the U.S., Canada and Mexico. And another bluntly said, "Bush's actions formulate a horrifying destruction of our proud nation". Many others used even stronger language. Once Americans learn about the SPP, they are clearly opposed.

In the face of this overwhelming opposition, on April 21-22, in yet another closed door meeting in New Orleans, President Bush and heads of state from Mexico and Canada continued to deny the SPP is anything more than a "dialogue" among the three nations.

Tom DeWeese, president of the American Policy Center, sees it differently. "As the Texas Department of Transportation signs an agreement with the Spanish company Cintra, containing no-compete clauses and guaranteed returns; as the Kansas City council loans $2.5 million to build the inland truck port called KC Smart Port; as the twenty SPP working groups continue to write policy; as the Mexican trucks roll over our borders; as high level meetings go on –- the Bush Administration dares to deny that Anything is happening. Why? The responses to APC's survey show why. When Americans understand the truth, they say No in resounding numbers." Concludes De Weese, "Clearly the American people are overwhelmingly opposed to the harmonization of North America. We just want our country –- strong, independent and secure."

Oklahoma Recalls Bill That Would Have Facilitated NAFTA Superhighway

The Oklahoma State Senate voted to recall a bill that would have further facilitated plans for the NAFTA Superhighway to run through the state. There were fears that parts of Bill 1507, which dealt with Foreign Trade Zones, were tied to the superhighway which is to extend from Mexico to Canada. There were also concerns that this would lead to private property seizures through eminent domain. This is already taking place in parts of rural Texas with the construction of the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC), which is to be the first leg of this superhighway infrastructure.

Some have argued that Bill 1507 would have allowed for the creation of foreign owned smart ports. This would have allowed for imported goods to pass through the U.S./Mexican border without going through customs until Oklahoma . This follows in the same line as other proposed inland ports, such as the one in Kansas City. The NAFTA Superhighway will be a borderless open transportation system that will further facilitate the flow of cheap goods from China. Oklahoma has already passed legislation to stop the TTC from coming through the state.

The NAFTA Superhighway is the necessary infrastructure needed for the creation of a North American Union. It will serve as a highway for cheap Chinese goods and cheap labor from Mexico and Latin America. It will untimely benefit multinational corporations, who view borders as barriers to trade and greater profits. Last year, Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Va., introduced a House resolution that stated congressional opposition to the construction of a superhighway or entry into North American Union.

The link from the Mexican border to Oklahoma is to be the highest priority, and has been branded the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC). If completed, it would encompass more than 4,000 miles. It is being financed by the Spanish company Cintra, who will lease and operate it as a toll road. It is set to have 1,200-foot corridors with separate lanes for passenger vehicles and large trucks, and room for future upgrades. Opposition to the TTC is growing, and for the second straight year, ranchers and other opponents marched on the Texas state capital in protest. Some might recall that in a blatant effort to try and stifle opposition, a company with close ties to Cintra purchased many local newspapers from towns that fall in the TTC’s path. The TTC is part of the NAFTA Superhighway, and is proof of further integration into a North American Union.

In January of this year, Texas Congressman and Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul filed a bill in the House of Representatives to prevent the TTC from receiving federal dollars. He was also very concerned and wanted to prevent the loss of private land through eminent domain. The TTC will see upwards of 584,000 acres of prime farm and ranch land lost, with up to a million people displaced through this practice.

The recalling of this bill by the Oklahoma State Senate is another small and maybe even temporary victory in the struggle to stop the NAFTA Superhighway and the North American Union. Nevertheless, it is encouraging that citizens concerns in regards to this issue are being echoed by more and more legislators. Many states have already passed anti-North American Union and anti-NAFTA Superhighway resolutions. The NAFTA Superhighway is a threat to private property, our sovereignty, and security.

Dr. Paul is extremely concerned, not only with the Trans-Texas Corridor, but of
the proposed SPP/NAU. The bill mentioned above is H.R. 5191 and is now stuck
in the House Subcommittee on Highways and Transit.

A group supporting North American integration is holding its fourth annual "North American Model Parliament" for 100 university students from the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

The North American Forum on Integration, or NAFI, began is "Triumvirate" sessions Monday in Montreal's City Hall with a plan to conclude Friday.

According to the NAFI website, "Triumvirate 2008" brings together the students "to participate in an international negotiation exercise in which they will simulate a parliamentary meeting between North American political actors."

A major goal of the model parliament, according to the NAFI Triumvirate website, is to "develop the participants' sense of belonging to North America."

As WND previously reported, Raymond Chretien, the president of the Triumvirate and the former Canadian ambassador to both Mexico and the U.S., was quoted as claiming the exercise was intended to be more than academic.

"The creation of a North American parliament, such as the one being simulated by these young people, should be considered," Chretien told WND.

Among the NAFI board of directors are Robert A. Pastor, Ph.D., former director of the Center for North American Studies at American University; and M. Stephen Blank, Ph.D., director of the North American Center for Transborder Studies at Arizona State University.

Pastor has written extensively on his proposal for the creation of a "North American Community," while denying he has intended to form a North American Union modeled after the European Union."
