Liking someone's accent is not shallow. Some people have very cool voices .
Voices tell a great deal about the personality, not necessarily accents ( I could desregard somebody just after hearing their voice) But I like the texan and the german accents because they remind me of good friends of mine. Of course the French is very romantic, but too nasal. Italian? No, don't like italian. | |

Posted: 10/31/2007 6:27:09 AM | latina accents pops my cork. i dated a mexican dentista for a while and what they say about hot blooded latins is true in my case. i loved her accent and when she whispered in my ear in full spanish words which i didn't understand it sent me to another place and time!!! she eventually went back to mexico city but that was a wonderful woman. | |

I used to be really good friends with someone who lives in England and every time we spoke on the phone I'd have a crush on him for the next few days lol. One day he had to get off the phone fast and he said "Ok, right then!" in that adorable accent of his and I melted. "Right then" is just so England.. 
I used to have a thing for the southern accents.. then I lived there for awhile. That fetish is gone. | |

Well as Scarlet O'Hara would say ......."shuck my shimmies" !
But I'm molasses on butter when it comes to a Texas accent....too sweet and syrupy sometimes.
Especially when pitchin' woo.

I'm sure Ms. Sunny has... LOL.... she is a true southern bell.....
Oh where is my southern man tonight ??? I'll bake him 2 a.m. muffins ....
Today I rode out southwest of Ft. Worth and away from the City. It was so nice to see all the pick-up trucks and men with their cowboy hats. The Southern Accent seems to get thicker the further out of town I travel.... gotta love Texas. | |

lessee accents that get me.. I use to love aussie, and scots ones, thinking back now it was more the quality of the voice.. it doesn't have to be deep or medium, or any of that, I think that sometimes it's cause with the accent its more melodic?? if that makes sense. | |

Not very long ago, I spoke my grandmother's eulogy. The funeral parlor, always records it for the family and when I played it back....I thought "who the hell is that ! " I sounded like a ninny. A real Okie with a sugar chaser. I learned to speak slower when speakin' in public, so it really drawlllled out.
But I could hear my grandmother's southern drawl at the same time. I could here her tellin' me....."siyut down and huyush 'fo ya make a donkey's behind outta yoahself"

Posted: 11/3/2007 1:01:15 PM | It's hard to say which I like best.....as I've stated earlier, the international aspect of dating really intrigued me about 10 years ago. I really can't get into Asian accents just too sing/song for me. But truly love British, French, Russian, Latino, Hungarian and of course
Spanish. One of my favorite experiences was a wonderful man from Norway...but their accent is very strong and demanding....not really romantic.

As long as the person has a nice speaking voice and they speak PROPER English without "slaying the language," almost any accent can be very sexy! I'm from the South, but I'm not too keen on men with "Southern" accents (I think that comes from the "good ole boy mentality"), but I must say that some women have really nice ones...ie. Ashley Judd. Although, I do find the occasional "Texas drawl" pretty "hot!" | |
