| Whats the Best Accent you've hear that you love... and why Posted: 1/5/2009 10:58:25 AM | | I love accents of people I like and either feel indiferent or dislike accents of people i dislike. This means that this changes quite a bit. I generally like scottish accent. If it is in a person i like, then i love it. If it is in a person I dislike, then i am indifferent to it. another one I quite like is Geordie accent. | |

I don't mean to offend but could anyone tell me the difference between the British & Welsh accents? Search Youtube on Welsh accent. As for British accent, there is no such thing, there are several accents accross England, then you have Welsh, Scottish and Irish accents.

I have a friend who lives in Newfoundland who has a wonderful accent, very brogue-ish, a little hard to decypher sometimes, but again love the way they turn a phrase.

Theres also different Scottish accents (I'm from Glasgow and speak nothing like people from Fife or Aberdeen), and different Irish accents too.
For me it has to be Irish accents, particularly Northern Irish.

| Whats the Best Accent you've hear that you love... and why Posted: 1/5/2009 9:33:42 PM | My favorite is anything that's clear. In speech as in music, I like to hear the spaces between the notes.
Often I do not live up to this myself - I tend to run everything all together. Maybe that's why I find it so appealing when others are very clear.

| Whats the Best Accent you've hear that you love... and why Posted: 1/5/2009 9:54:58 PM | In no particular order, my favorite accents to hear in a female's voice are ...
1. Australian 2. Southern 3. Russian/Eastern European
As for girls with Russian/Eastern European accents ... several years ago I was on a cruise, and the****ail server for our section was a very attractive twenty-something girl from one of the former Soviet states. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't pronounce my name right. But, she sounded so sexy trying to say it that I just couldn't bring myself to even think of trying to correct her! Beyond that, she was a great worker. Went on the same ship 6 months later, and she remembered my name, what I drank, what I did for a living, and that I was traveling solo.

And, yep, have heard them all at least once. Almost forgot, someone from West Africa speaking English (so proper, yet slightly different from an English accent). Goodness, didn't realize there were so many LOL

| Whats the Best Accent you've hear that you love... and why Posted: 1/13/2009 5:55:28 PM | | I had a phone (actually it was a microphone chat thing) and internet relationship with a girl from Australia. I loved her accent and she loved it when I would do phone sex as Mathew McConaghey or Bob Hoskins. That one cracked her up. | |
