Obviously you do use them or know some because you wouldn't be defending them so much if you didn't. I can understand why you would need to. I'm guessing you would not care if your daughter, sister, or mother did it. And arn't people murderers if they spread aids around and know it? You're just going to have to deal with people that don't like hookers, druggies or other pond scum. You have you're opinion and I have mine. That doesn't mean that one is more correct than the other. Date whoever you want...hookers or otherwise. I know I would not be with a guy if I knew or found out he dates hookers or thinks that it's okay for him to do it. | |

A lot of prostitutes are forced into it by violence and starvation (meaning it wasn't their choice in case I have to spoon feed it to you) yet by your logic they're scum interesting, So I guess all those kids who are sold into sex slavery are scum and they deserve to be persecuted like murderers? I'm really glad you are not in charge of the criminal justice system I'll tell you that and ..just so you know prostitutes aren't the only ones capable of spreading an STD. you can catch an STD from anyone that's sexually active and prmiscious. That seems like a very hard concept for you to grasp. Am I asking you to like hookers? no, feel free to hate whoever you want. but be prepared to deal with the backlash if you bash somebody, don't dish it out if you can't take it in. If my mom or sister was a prostiute I would not be happy about it but I couldn't stop them and if they were hooking to put food on the table because it was the only way they coiuld make a living...well you gotta do what you gotta do. | |

Prostitutes are people that have sex for money. That doesn't make all of them drug abusers, or child molesters, or combine harvester drivers. I personally have never met a prostitute, although I saw one once coming out of the Westin Hotel in Edmonton and she had the nicest coat I'd seen in my life. Do I want my daughter to become a prostitute? Hell no... but I think I'd rather she did that than be as classically ignorant as you. | |

Hopefully your daughter will be smarter than you and be able to read correctly as to not end up in a brothel trying to put food on the table.
All you have to do is a google search under prostitution in India. Very simple.

Because I have to tell you that of all the countries that you picked off some 'glo-in-the-dark' globe that you have, India would not be the one with rampant prostitution.... far too religious on many counts (that would mean from many different faiths) for that to happen. In fact, in most places in India, if a woman is caught having 'inappropriate relations' with a man, there's a very good chance that she'll be either killed by her father and brothers, or made an example of by execution.

It was fun and exciting at first, but after a few months problems began to emerge. I don't think a woman can be a prostitute without it leaving at least some emotional scars, and he told me about various issues involving true intimacy, trust in men, etc. Strangely, the issues of STDs and drugs didn't seem to be the main problems. | |

You should go on the streets and see how it really is not from what some book says. Do you spend all day researching prostitution? Why would you be upset if your daughter did it if it's such a legit business? Maybe I have dated someone that went to hookers and didn't know it but if I KNEW then I would not be dating him anymore. Why do you care so much about sexworkers? It is illegal, at least in this country it is and it is illegal for a good reason. Would you mind if they hung out on the corner of your street where kids are playing? Maybe you would be very happy. Also where there's prostitution there's illegal drugs so the drug dealers won't be far behind. Maybe you are for legalizing crack too. I am speaking from experience because I have lived in places where things like that go on. I lived at a apartment complex where one would knock on people's doors because she was fiening for crack. I also knew some (not by choice) and they were not forced into it. Some of them were molested as a child and one was a single mom at 16 so some do have emotional problems.
What they should do is put them all in one big whore house and tax them. At least that will keep them off the street. | |

(Like they can only work in certain areas that are far away from churches and schools make STD testing and condoms mandatory stuff like that) Like they do in places like The Netherlands, and Denmark No, luna I don't spend all my time researching prostitution I've watched a few documentries about the sex trade and read a few books and articles about it that's it I'm sorry if I don't know as much as you. I'm sure someone from Lansing Michigan knows everything there is to know about the sex industry.
