Posted: 6/22/2008 4:33:41 PM | Wow girl....I have to say I am impressed he called and owned what he did. There were a lot better ways to deal with whatwas scaring him, which shows immaturity on his part but he called and explined why he did what he did which shows there must be something there.
I am really glad for the both of you!

I am very happy that he called. I kind of thought that he was scared at his feelings and that's OK. He could have handled it a bit better...but that would be a guy for you. There's nothing wrong with taking it slower. Sometimes that's the best remedy when things get out of hand right from the start. My BF and I started out the same way and slowed things down. It's working...
Since you have only been divorced for such a short time, you need to get things in order also. Go slow and enjoy it! Sometimes life goes way too fast and you get confused in where it is taking you.

Not ALL ladies, my dear. I happen to NOT like 6pk abs on a man myself, cuz to me its still TOO SKINNY!! I prefer a man to have meat on his bones. A nice healthy, stocky, built, guy. Not saying a skinny man would be a deal breaker for me as far as dating goes, but its just a preference that men with a lil bit of chub (and no not 500 lbs) will make me turn my head faster than a some skinny gym rat. | |

This pertains to work.... I cannot STAND it when im in a huge hurry in changing someones bedding and i have to run down to the linen closet to grab new linen and the fitted sheet is too small,,,,,its for a gurney! Then i run down again (trying to hurry!) and grab another one, get back to my patients roon and grrrrrrrr,,its ANOTHER gurney fitted sheet!  We had a staff meeting this morning and you can bet i brought that up.  What a pain in the ol buttinski! | |

Posted: 6/26/2008 7:06:18 AM | Grrrr I have a pet peeve and it's driving me crazy, feel free to jump in with any suggestions that won't get me arrested or allienate me from my neighbor...he's a great guy.
he has his brother the bum living with him and his wife. the bum has a creepy friend that picks him up for work whenever they find a side job to do...at the crack of dawn.
There's the problem...he drives down the road and starts laying on the horn in front of my house, two houses away from theirs and doesnt stop til he gets to theirs and then continues until the guy comes out! grrrrr, wakes us up every morning &%#$&@%$!!
It wakes us up every time...three times this week out of four days!
Also gets my dogs barking full tilt.
I have tried going out on my porch and standing ..just staring at them so they know it has woken us up...but they look and laugh when they drive back by...no class at all, nothing like his brother who owns the house where he lives.
It's such a small little town that I've run into creepy driver a few times, and he is rude every time...almost ran into me a couple times with his car and then flips me off, I have no clue what his problem is...unless it's that I have not given him the time of day at one of the neighborhood pubs and don't suggest I do...yuck!
Bum also has a truck he was parking down in front of my house directly behind my driveway so i was having trouble back out...dont ask me why he would park two houses down i haven't a clue!! I don't know the guy at all! Twice i put a note on his windshield asking him to park elsewhere or just move up so i could back out without hitting him. The third time i had a date over and when he pulled up there to park and got out my date went outside and said "move it bud" Without a word he did but he has parked there a few more times to just be an a$$
So not to write a book...but any suggestions on how to stop this damn honking? We just wanna sleep, and i am not looking to be a wench about it but enough is enough. grrrrrrr | |

Let it be known that you dont want to start trouble, but you and your family need your sleep and the horn honking is just too early. In my town Robin, we do have a noise ordinance. Between certain times of the night until a certain time of the morning we cannot make loud noises (lawn mower, cars, radios, etc,,) and if we do, we get ticketed. If the noise continues, id say you dont have any other recorse than to call the police and explain the situation. As for TheBum parking his car,,,i dont think there is anything you can do about that since its a public roadway and he can park wherever he wants (tho he is OBVIOUSLY doing that on purpose!!). Only thing i can suggest is parking YOUR car in that spot just to piss him off. My neighbor next door has a habit of parking their car in front of the neighbor across the streets house even tho my neighbor has a double wide drive-way and has LOTS of room to park! Some ppl just like to be butttheads!! | |

Posted: 6/26/2008 7:48:08 AM | It's against the law to park your car overnight in the road here, don't ask me why cause I haven't a clue. I just haven't wanted to make waves, but my road in very narrow, not much for sides and no side walks...pretty rural for a town.
Darn...we have a noise ordinance too but I really hate to call...I wonder if I can do it anonomously? My neighbor is so protective of his brother since his wife threw him out, sighhh. | |

(This is the guy that put his telephone # in MY phone and called himself!) ok...I've seen him a few times at POF functions, we danced, shot some pool, seemed to enjoy it. I would LOVE to get to know him better. All of a sudden: he is not answering his phone, he has deleted several messages on here unread.....What did I do? Or.....is he really just not available or just not interested? MY GOODNESS! Why do men make us wonder what is wrong instead of just being up front and saying: I'm sorry, I don't see this working out, or I changed my mind, or "I'm really not available, I'm married"...anything is better than just leaving me hanging!!!!

I have the same problem where I do this just to keep an eye on who i contact not to be rude or anythig else. some change their user names or delete their profiles and then redo them so i add people to my favorites and i try to talk to them if they say they are not intersted or i do not here from them in like a week then i delete them and go on .
I had one lady on here that we were talking a few times and i thought we were going to be chat buddies. then all of a sudden she e-mails me and calls me a stalker..
WELL DELETE SHE GOES AND REPORTED HER TO POF AS A LUNATIC.

Some of the men here at POF have been complaining of this very same exact thing from the women. I guess you could ask yourself why it is that some women do that? Men probably do it for the same reasons (including the ones that you mentioned) that some women do.
Im with you tho,,,,any reason,,, whether its one we want to hear or not,,, is better than the silent treatment! | |

His profile didn't really have any of the same likes as mine, but that was mostly because the things HE liked were ok, just nothing that I generally intentionally set out to do. He was handsome....had a job....didn't want any more children, and I believe only had one teenage daughter...nice guy, but very quiet. I thought maybe he could be that ONE that balanced me out...settled me down....... NOPE! Guess not!  Looks like the search goes on......why is the song: "Take it on the run, baby, if that's the way you want it baaa beeee, cuz I don't want you around" going through my head? I think I just admitted that I was nearly ancient!!! Luv you gals...thanks for picking me up! I'm been in a funk since I got home from SC!!! I wanted to go to Cedar Point this weekend and that seemed to flop! Oh well.....Watch out! Incomming....... | |
