First, it says "waiting for the person to connect", then it says "if they don't receive the message I can E-mail them". After this point I don't get any reply. Posted: 4/8/2005 11:06:42 AM | It means they're not connecting. They don't get messages that way unless they're connected to you. You have to actually e-mail them. Piece of advice... e-mail them first and ask them if they're willing to chat, then try to IM them.
Okay, now for my own little problem with the IM... I click on it, it loads, and opens up. I'm able to type a few lines, and the person I'm IM ing with can type a few, then it decides to reload on its own? What's up with that? Then, when it tries to reload, it gives me an error message. | |

1. Launch a new Internet Explorer browser window and navigate to http://www.plentyoffish.com
2. Right-click with your mouse on the small color-coded area in the bottom left corner of your browser window. A red or green bar will appear called a "widget".
I don't have a "widget" I feel deprived. What do I do now?

So today I recieved an instant message..and I chatted no problem!....Cool!
Now, I'm telling a freind what happened so we tested it...and NOTHING!.. she couldnt IM me ..and I could IM her...

Is anyone still have any sorts of problems? The waiting for connection problem is a ISP/connection problem and not related to plentyoffish. | |

I have not been able to contact one single person using the IM.
How on earth is it supposed to work?
I never get thru the "waiting for xyz to connect" and then the utterly brilliant "you can email her" message.
Extremely frustrating even if we get it free.

If a person does not have you in their favorites list, you cannot IM them uunnles you live within 75 miles of each other.
To turn IM On/Off, at your inbox, aliong the line that starts "messages from deleted users" "FAQ" etc - go to the end, and there will be a link saying turn on/off IM
To actually IM someone - either add them to your favorites, and click on the "Istant Message" link next to their name, or look at their profile, and at the top of it, there will be a green "Instant Message " link.
You can only IM people who aer on the site RIGHT NOW - whenever "now" is. Also, jsut because the link appears, does not mean they are still here. I think it stays active for something like a 1/2 hour or so after someone leaves - have to check with admin on specifics, but you get the point. :-) | |

Upon receipt i answered, i was then asked if i could help out a single mother that was broke and about to be homeless. she stated that her child had no food. after agreeing to send 100.00
to help when then asked me my email address so she could send her Info for the western union. like a dip i gave it too her. she then sent me a messege with nude photos and, this was NOT asked for.
My 12 year old opened the mail!
after checking around through IM's here she is doing the same to others.
does your service condone soliciatation? | |
