Posted: 8/13/2006 9:59:59 PM | I have tried everything and pushed all buttons however there is a problme with the IM system. Usually when i Im someone a few will open their window and a couple will even chat.
Please check the system and get it fixed asap. It's becoming a real pain.

I realize that this is a very busy sight, but this is ridiculous. How are you supposed to get anything going with someone when there seems to be constant trouble within the site. I also did a little experiment last week with friend on the site, and found that the message left on the Im window to be false. I have never received an email informing me that someone has tried to IM me...what's up with that? It would be nice to get to the bottom of this. | |

Posted: 8/14/2006 11:27:00 AM | I have had nothing but probs again. So with the help of a friend..this is what I have found. I have updated windows, updated Internet explorer, and then updated Java - in that order.
Im bracing myself..No more crashes, and IM is working. From what I can tell its not pof, its windows and something going on with Java. My friend noticed a quicktime update request, so did I, could that be also a problem...what a nightmare! As soon as I updated Java, IM works! When I updated IE, crashes stopped. For some reason messenger is not working on my computer at the moment, though it usually does.
Not sure whether you are currently having technical difficulties.
I have done the java and flash tests and both are on and working OK

I can open IM windows but it seems that the other person never gets the message. All I get in teh window is the msg that if they don't get the IM they will be emailed when I log off.
Any ideas?
