Posted: 8/24/2006 1:07:41 PM | I was wondering if you had any advice on why I cannot get Im to work. i would like to point out that I never had any problems with the old version of IM. Now, it downloads just fine, it installs successfully (over 15 times) went over every possible cause/solution. tried rebooting, closing all browers, disabling firewall, enable activex entries in internet options, unistalled older versions...etc. the strange thing is that it installs just fine, it tells me that it is instaleld successfully, but when i go back on pof the "test for flash player" shows me "failed", (the java script works fine). any ideas gentlmen. I would really appretiate any suggestions.

Posted: 8/24/2006 5:34:59 PM | I'm sorry to be redundant here but I can't figure this out and I couldn't find any solutions on here... The first couple days after I signed up for PoF my IM was working fine. Now I can't IM anyone nor receive any messages.
A screen pops up when someone IM's me but the screen almost freezes at 'Loading -54K' every time.

I've confirmed that others are not getting a response from my IM in emails to them. I'm not sure what to do. I'm losing a lot of fish here! LOL
I've not used the forums before, so if I do not just return to this page for my answer, please e-mail me so I can find the answer.

What i did was:
1) did a full update on windows..click start on your computer..windows update should be there and will take you right to their website (the website will check for updates for you)
2)update IE. When IE is open, click help, and online support..that will also tell you about updates. I updated to IE 6, with service pak
3) Java.com. update here also.
I have suggested the same to a few people..and we all seem to be up and running now.

Posted: 8/29/2006 9:28:11 AM | MY IM was working fin, but now noone is recieving my messages. I know this because I e-mailed friends and ask them to go on POF so I could send them a message. They never recieved it. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I don't have the choice to accept or not, and they type away, leaving me with only 2 options - talk, or ignore, which I don't like to do. Should I not have the option of accepting an IM or not? I know I can turn it off, but that means I can't receive ANY IMs. It's frustrating to be speaking with someone, only to have 4 or 5 IMs pop up, each initiating conversation I don't want to have at that time. Any way to fix this? | |

I am lost all it shows me is advertisements now.I have two thoughts on this.In a serch I ended up viewing at a (profile)that turned out to be a Intimate Encounter one! Or the patch update problems with this site and all computers.However it was fine a few days ago before August 14th.I have been on this site over 6 mnths...
