Posted: 11/19/2006 10:08:54 PM | at first i had a online messenger chat with somone then i closed the box and someone else wanted to talk and mine didn't open it just bad a "dong" sound and i couldn't find flash in my program files but i must have it.
please tell me why i changeed my hometown to vancouver and i still can't contact girls who only talk to people within 75 miles of van. i am in vancouver and my profile now says vancouver instead of kelowna. it's been a month and i still can't send messages to girls in the city who only wanna meet locals. plz help | |

Posted: 11/20/2006 2:09:29 PM | IM windows pop up, and some parts load, but the window shows the words "Connecting" and show the two plugs coming together.
Now the "IM User" link on people's profiles is gone. Huh?
I have allowed pop ups from plenty of fish (and things are popping up after all, just no progressing).
Flash and Java are up to date.

The answer - I defragmented and cleaned my hard drive - then allowed animated media. It's not enough to enable pop-ups - the animated media has to come through too!

Posted: 11/21/2006 6:03:41 AM | Been using IM for quite some time - all of the sudden today when I attempt to IM or to accept an IM it tries to connect and then say Server Error - Will try to reconnect in 10 seconds.
It keeps trying but the IM window is not connecting! Please help... | |

"Server Error - Unable to Connect"
I suspect that this is because of a Firewall or Proxy server issue here in the office. Is there anyway to configure the POF IM feature by entering the proxy server and the port number?
I can do this with the AIM/AOL chat feature. | |

Then it wants my password again, then if I try to resend it it totally disappears. My effort of a well sought message which takes time to do and into thin air it goes. I'm not adept to everything about computers, I don't wish this on anyone is there something I'm doing wrong here. At my workplace; since semi-retired. we had voice command computers and they worked; ah so very well. I am on a Dell and i've lost four in the last five days. Any help would be appreciated........... Please disable or tell me how, and yes I have gone into inbox and hit "turn off Im" still works.
