Posted: 4/16/2007 9:14:01 PM | Visit your 'mail settings' -- select which IM setting you would like. (I think there are choices of: open, favorites only, and closed.) If you have your I.E. browser set to disallow 'pop-up' windows, you will see a request for 'handle' to open a window, else the IM window will open automatically if there are no browser restrictions on pop-up windows.
There may also be IM links for some of those who have added you to their favorites' list, and, your site mail during viewing, and, some members in the basic search results, ViewedMe and other site displays of members.
Allow 15 minutes after login, else the IM function is unlikely to work.

For Windows XP SP2, I find enabling 'pop-up' blocking, will result in a request to open a window by 'handle', which is useful -- but you may find disabling pop-up blocking to work better for you. | |

Posted: 4/20/2007 5:52:46 AM | Points & gifts are being discontinued (it was a one day trial). If when composing an email, you see options to send one of a variety of gifts, simply click the checkbox beside the gift (so long as the points required, are within your budget, shown on the left of that display), and it should be displayed for the recipient in their email (& in your Sent box).
If you don't see the display, then the option's gone, and the whole business is history.

Posted: 4/20/2007 3:18:56 PM | Are you unable to login to the other section of this website? That is, after clicking the mail/edit profile link, does typing in your handle & password work? (if it doesn't work, you could try to either clear your cookies, or set up a fresh XP account so that you start with fresh cookies, and, try logging in again)
If you're able to post in the forums, it seems unlikely you're under any form of serious ban. (That's just a personal opinion of mine. It's the Admin's or mod's opinion that would really count on such a query.)

When I go to my inbox there are no messages from amandababydoll10, just an email with my new searches. I also typed in "amandababydoll10 in the search engine and notinh happens. I don't even get a reply that says "user not valid", etc..
What am I doing wrong?
