I am a relatively new POF'er in Edmonton and am trying to schedule a local event. So far, I have posted a couple of message threads (one throwing the idea out there and the second with more concrete specifics regarding date, time and venue). I also think I figured out how to send that invitation to everybody living within 10 km of the venue; however, never got a copy of that mail myself.
I would like to see this as a highlighted event, posted above the mail inbox. The advice I have been given to-date seems to indicate that, as a new event planner/hoster, the process involves asking an administrator for approval on my proposed event. Should I copy and paste my event information in an e-mail here? Or, is there another answer?

Some months ago, I posted my Profile Ad. Then, a couple weeks later , I noticed that your system had stated that I "Sent a Rose" to someone !!! ACTUALLY, this never happened !! I had no way to correct it, so I deleted my ad.
Then, a few months later, I decided to try your system again : A week or two later, THE SAME THING HAPPENED again , i.e. your system sent "A Rose" (11 /2/07) to a guy Who I am not remotely interested in flirting with ("APRINCE ")
**** Can you please correct this error, and return my TWO Roses, back to me, to send to a guy I'm sincerely interested in knowing ????

Posted: 11/16/2007 8:57:17 PM | I know I am in the wrong FAQ, but I am so upset and don't know where to find the right one to report someone using such completely mean and foul language. The guy's name is goodmanforgoodwoman2007 and the text I am talking about is "...no nigga lovers please cause it makes me sick...". How in the world would you allow this being posted? Whether or not it is relevant to my profile posting is irrelevant at this point but what IS relevant is that nasty, mean and foul line. How can I block this member? Hopefully, not just from contacting me but from being on this site all together! I never thought that any dating site would allow such comment. OK, so I am interested in someone my own race (caucasion) but that does not mean that I would ever respond to someone using that line in his profile! What made me sick is HIS PROFILE and HIS FOUL LANGUAGE!!! Shame on him. And if you don't block him from using your otherwise wonderful site  (you've done an awesome job with this site and I want to congratulate you from the bottom of my heart to make it possible for anyone to look (fish) for a mate without being "robbed blind" like the other dating sites do!) This man asked me for drinks and at first I thought he was nice then he asked me to go for a ride with him and that is where the night mare began, he took me up in the hills to look at the sceanery he said it was 30 miles or so from any town or phone, in reality he took me up their and said if I wanted to get home I had to have sex with him. this guy is a real creap and when I said no take me home he came all un glued he started yelling its because I am hispanic and its because he was short this guy went nuts on me and I thought if I didn't do it I would be walking home and who knows what would have happend to me so please be advised on this person his handle is sorbet and his name is tony hispanic man 55 and bald head. please do something so no one else will have this happen to them.

because I am Latino and only 5'6" tall and from the ones that do not say anything to me probably means that the others think the same way only don't bother tell you. Honestly, if you are mexican and short do not bother. I also see where I may have written to someone and it will say unread, deleted, but have looked at my profile on the who has viewed you and that tells me as soon as they saw I was Latino and short they didn't want to bother even reading what I had to say.
Okay enough crying and complaining. I want to meet you and if you want to meet me and if we hit off and want a relationship hell lets go for it, we have not to lose anyway do we?
So what do you say? lets meet.
I wounder is this all the guys on here this guy has hit on me daily and all I wanted at this point was to hang out because I had my dad living with me and didn't want to much drama from people because I had enough of my own with taking care of my father but this guy wow at first he seemed like a charmer then when he started asking me different questions and started asking to much info that I didn't think appropriate first talking he tried talking about sex and I changed the subject and he totally went drama on me like its because I am latino and because he was 5 ft 6 in and that women prefer tall and caucasiun guys heck it didn't matter to me but maybe this guy is nuts just letting you know. so what is the hurray he says if he doesn't get a date by the 2nd week then its because of his ethnic back ground can this guy hurt me? or could he be a stalker I don't know these days girls can't be to careful their is just something not right about this guy. | |

I have posted a pic, that shows my body, getting out of the shower, I have a towel in front of me, and it get deleted.....?? I have seen pics on here that are from woman that are more than half naked, nipples showing through their shirts, and panties showing, but i cant hold a towel in front of myself, and not get deleted....??
I find this to be a double standard......
I show no more than just my body entirely, my face is in the pic, I am NOT nude, yet, I keep getting it deleted....?? Yet, I could reference I dont know how many profiles that are more exposing than mine, yet remain on theirs.....>???
I know discrimination........I've studied law.....
I would appreciate your answer as to why mine keeps getting deleted, when I am following your rules.
My pic reflected no more than a guy standing with just shorts on, and this keeps happening....
Please explain...?? I"m sure if you check your server, you can pull up what has been deleted from my account, and tell me why that pic was unacceptable.....???
Or, If not, then I would be glad to send it to you upon your request, and you can tell me if its a moderator that is doing this, or the site itself....?? I'd like to know...??

I have no problem with"my matches", or "basic search", or any other search site. Please help me. This problem only began 5 or 6 days ago,. I have had the friend who put me onto POF go over the problem with, and for me. She's very POF savvy, and doesn't know how to fix the problem. HELP!!!!
