Posted: 4/16/2009 5:38:30 PM | The appeal to this site and the reason behind its steady growth was the instant messenger and the fact that it is free. No other site has this unique combination, which is a powerful one. The competitive advantage over the other sites is now gone. There really is no draw now.
I don't understand how there will be a 'massive increase in site use' w/ no IM. The IM is what drew most here. For those who didn't wish to use it, the feature could be disabled. More accurately, I believe there will be a massive decrease in site use, as well as the number of users.

new Up-Grade and paying to be a Gold Member will we then be able to
get any kind of instant messenger ? The chat feature was great here I
used it more for communication that other chat clients. Most on here
do not like e-mails and well this is the one dating site that I enjoy for
net working and making friends whats great about it is you do meet
people around you.
Please Big Fish I plead with you to bring back the instant message feature
it was a joy to have on here and great way of connecting and breaking the
ice. Most dating and single sites that you pay for does have the IM client
available I'm willing to up-grade and pay cause I have paid before on a
few other dating sites and as I said most on here fail to e-mail back and
that to me is waste of words and heart where as the IM feature was great
to have.
I hope you will re consider this action about the instant message feature.
Your site is great for meeting folks locally and having the fun events that
people can connect at too!
