Posted: 6/2/2005 6:28:21 AM | I posted a story here once about my early days of romance. I lived in a small 1 1/2 apartment in downtown Montreal. My girlfriend was over, and well.....you know. 
As I got up afterwards to get us some refreshment, a loud knock startled me. I was in my jeans , and opened the door....and saw two policemen.
They said " Can we speak with the woman in the apartment please ? " ( Being clueless, I said " Sure" . )
I called my girlfriend from the door, and said " Honey, there are two policemen that want to speak with you. "
As she appeared around the corner, wrapped in bedsheets and smoking a cigarette, with her hair all messed up ( but still pretty as hell) the two cops just started grinning. 
They said " Are you ok ? "  ( How they avoided laughing is a testament to their professional restraint. And mine too....)
She said " Uh-huh..." , and turned a lovely shade of red.
I said " Can I please get a ticket for this ? I'd like an official record. " and they were almost ready to lose it. They said good afternoon, and left....
I used to get a shot in the arm everytime I mentioned that little incident in private, for the rest of the relationship. | |
