When I tend to go out, I tend to make my own fun. Please do not get me wrong here, but we can depend on outside influences to entertain us or we can just simply enjoy ourselves.

Any events at all depends on people having fun and having a good time. Entertainment can only provide so much fun the rest is all up to you guys and what you want to make out of it.

As for me whether I end up being their on my own or whether half the people attend or all of them, I have no control over that. But one thing I can control is that I am going to enjoy myself. Anyone who knows me, knows all too well that I am not the type of person to sit in a corner and wait for fun to come to me.

The rest is all up to you !!

Also I am also inviting everyone on my favourites list. If you really want to enjoy yourself invite people from your favourites list. This is about YOU having fun I am only providing the venue for you to all do it.

I say enjoy yourselves, life is too short not too.

I'd be up for it. Brisbane would be easier location wise, but can make the Gold Coast. Sign me up!

If no one else has a venue or time for our POF meeting, I have a venue on the Gold Coast, Robina Tavern, 27th Of January, at 7.00pm, just for drinks and a get to know you night, there is live music and dinner if you wish, please let me know if you are coming and I will have a POF sign up so we all know where to go,this could be our first and meet every month after that at different places, I hope it all turns out for us, Mal

Albeit that I am interested, I am kind of stuck socially, not that it is a problem for me. Where I go, My 13 year old Daughter goes with me. Actually it's great, but I am careful as to where we go.
Since her Mother left she has become a bit protective of me. I think she may be worried that I might go and leave her as well.

Anyway, I'll see what happens with this.

Hi Huntingwulf, family is important so make sure you look after your daughter as she is at an age where she needs you, there has been no interest in the POF party that I have arranged so I guess that will not happen, but we shall see huh, talk again

Hi alarmcom.
Thank you for your understanding.

I know family is important which is why, for me anyway, I prefer to go to meets at a restaurant.
I am sure there are others here who have kids and would like to go out somewhere, but do not have the backup. Maybe that is why there is not a lot of response. I tend to avoid Cubs and such unless there are facilities for kids, and even then, if it's an evening, kids rooms close early.

I occasionaly go to "Chat" meets at Amici's at Southbank, people bring their kids, who eventualy go for a swim. Amici's is good in that you can eat as cheaply or as expensively as you like, It's licensed, close to public transport, and there is parking. I am sure there are other options as well, and Brisbane is basicaly central for those living North or South of Brissie.

IF, and I mean it's a big if, I happened to meet someone special one day, My Daughter would be aware of my new friendship from the beggining, She is an integral part of any future life I may become involved in.

But to me a "Meet" is just that. Where people can meet face to face those, with whom, they have been communicating with online. If things move on from there? Well who knows.

Anyway, it's just a thought

alarm... Dont count who is coming first, you are doing it the wrong way around, post it on PoF first and the people will come.. People need to see it and remind them and they will sign up for it. It's too hard waiting for people to commit to something they can't see and remind them.

Try again and post on Pof events, dont give up.. Good luck.. PM me if I can help in anyway.

Alarmcom.. here is the URL.. just put the details there.. you can cut and paste one of my formats in the Melbourne events. Let me know if you need help with it. It's easy really cut cut and paste Melbourne Bridie O'Reiley event and change the details to suit.

also PoF will send an email to everyone in Australia to let them know of the event as well as displaying it on the "Inbox" page.
