| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 10/26/2006 12:39:17 PM | MMMM !!
Always thought I was geek.....but I couldn't comprehend 72% of the posts on this thread....mmm......
Mind you my concpet of "geek" came from the movie the Revenge of the Nerds....( I considered Nerd synonymus with Geek)
From that Movie I knew I was not a Jock....because ...and I quote (from rough memory) "Jocks sit around and play sports and talk sports and think sports all the time. We nerds ...all we sit around thinking about is sex . That why we are so much better at it."
You see I thought THAT is why I am such a great lover !! .....lol !!!!! ( Vanity not implied but intended !! lol !!)

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 10/26/2006 12:43:31 PM | | There is a big difference between a geek and a nerd. I'd explain, but there is a probability of 72% that you will not understand. | |

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 10/26/2006 9:23:03 PM | Hey SnS2, if there is some serious shopping to be done, you know I'll be there. Just let me warm up my card.
Yo, Bigg Sexxy, you're letting me down man. I thought you would have figured it out by now. Maybe you need more hints:
"You are treading softly upon the path to truthfulness, young glasshoppa. Every word is a star, just as every word is perfect and reveals the code to answer this riddle. Be sure that you have selected wisely before you purge."

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 10/26/2006 9:40:58 PM | | Ummmmmmm MKD, Geek boy, are you warming that card up for just you or all of us???? LOL | |
|
| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 10/27/2006 6:14:21 AM | | Sheesh MKD....I think you stumped me here. I thought that was WordStar commands. Or Word Perfect maybe?....hmmm.....it was many, many moons ago that I tinkered with that stuff. | |

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 10/28/2006 1:02:54 AM | I see we have a linguist within our presence
Pray do tell fishies...what is the difference between "Geek" and "Nerd".....
NOTE AS A CONFIRMED NERD AND GEEK I TAKE EXCEPTION AT THE TERM "GEEK" BEING SYNONYMUS WITH "COMPUTOR GEEK", so with this taken out of the formula can you tell me whether I have always been mistaken in believe the to terms as used in the Enfglish are synonmous...that is "geek and "Nerd'
Actually i think Mr gimli is a cunning linguist....lol

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 10/28/2006 9:17:02 AM | I'm a geek, and I'm proud of it. I can hook up a home theatre system, and then sit back and enjoy a football game or (insert favorite Schwarzenegger/Stallone/Van Damme movie here) in full surround sound.
My brother, on the other hand, is a nerd. He knows more programming languages than I've even heard of.

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 10/30/2006 12:06:29 PM | gamer,
Well if the previous poster is correct ....you are by his definition a NERD and your bro is the GEEK ....am I not right???

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 10/30/2006 1:05:38 PM | this topic is like a 'big****contest for geeks'. whos micro is more uber. just waiting for someone to say "oh yah, well i installed a toilet paper dispenser on my PC case!" unfortunatly, im gonna have to disagree with one of you on here. 'geek' is not the new 'sexy' these days. It may be more accepted than before, but its by no means the hippest thing to be. Its just as lame to be a geek these days as it was 10 years ago, if you had no social skills. Thats all that changed, geeks these days are becoming more socially adept, and thus, accepted by the mainstream better. | |

(ctrl)(K)(B) Mark block begin (ctrl)(K)(K) Mark block end (ctrl)(K)(Y) Delete block

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 10/30/2006 6:08:24 PM | Correct interpretation, but Turbo C inherited those command sequences from WordStar.
The clue was the keystrokes to do the same thing using WordPerfect. Oh, how I miss reveal codes....sigh.
