| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 11/1/2006 7:32:37 AM | being geeky is a badge of honor these days and am glad, it gives us smart women a chance to be ourselves, sexy...geeky...whatever we are can be appreciated by the geeks of this world!

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 7/6/2008 12:39:16 PM | I feel the world is in need of some geek love. It looks like it's too long since people have been reminded of these benefits. So, I will have to bring this topic back up.
Any geeks out there want to show their pride?
|
| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 7/7/2008 8:22:45 PM | I stand proudly before you all and proclaim my pride in my geekhood.
My most recent act of geekdom...one of my non-geek friends brings her laptop and a replacement keyboard along to a golf game so that I could replace the keyboard for her after the game. Ten minutes later, she is freed from her ongoing nightmare of coming up with words that don't include the letter "N" and I'm a hero because I wasn't afraid to crack the laptop open.
Who da man?
On a related note, geekettes are awesome to date too.

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 7/7/2008 8:52:34 PM | ^^^ I concur with the above. There is nothing more annoying than having to type all your words without an "n".
Everyone should have a geek to rely on in their time of "n" need. And for a geek, yer not such a bad golfer either!
your geekette in crime is also handy to have around.......... we love those "plenty of fish" fries......... and there certainly was......... plenty of it.

Usually well educated, a geek will engage you with enlightened conversation and fascinating tête-à-têtes. Not only that, but nerds generally take spelling and grammar seriously, which makes all the difference between love and loathe when it comes to IMs, emails and text messages.
Gawd I love a man that can spell!!!!!
Doesn't Nail Sheep Hahahahah.....too funny!!
Ok now we have heard from all the testosterone laden "geeks" out there but what about the "Geek-chicks"?
I totally consider myself a geek chick, I take my computer apart and put it back together again on a regular basis......just to dust it!
I can hook up your home stereo system, install and FIND everything pirated and free that you could want, install that new hardware you just bought, trouble shoot any hard or software issues, repair your stove, dryer, washer, unplug your sinks, set up your wireless network AND make you droooool with anticipation over my many culinary talents...hahahaha...
I know exactly what these and much more are, DNS, SSI, PHP, SQL, DLL, SCSI, WAN, LAN and even dithering!
Is this Geek Chick-ery??

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 7/9/2008 1:27:03 PM | | Many women are looking for "nice" guys and can't find them. It makes me wonder if they're ignoring geeks because they can be too nice ? | |

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 7/9/2008 1:32:39 PM | I love geeks. I'm surrounded by geeks all day, some of my good friends are geeks and I'd like to think of myself as a bit of a geek.
I don't need seven reasons. I just have one. Geeks are sexy.

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 7/9/2008 9:23:50 PM | As was indidcated in the movie the Revenge of the Nerds.......we who are geeks(nerds) ( losers) (outcasts) (punies) or whatever you want call it.......spend more time think about sex because we are not distracted by stupid things like jocks are...sports.....dating....lookin good.....Since we are constantly fanatasizing about sex...its sort of like that mentally imaging which has proven to be very effective in improving performance!
Franks and Beans ...Franks beans ! Ok I guess in simple terms ...we masterbate ALL THE TIME!!! LOL!!!

| Seven reasons to date a Geek Posted: 7/12/2008 8:42:10 PM | In response to the poster who asked if there is a difference between a "nerd" and a "geek" . . .
Pretty sure the opening post meant seven reasons to date a "nerd". Yes, there is a difference between geeks and nerds . . .
The biggest difference is a geek will remain a geek forever. They are the opposite end of the social school from "the jocks" who will remain jocks if only in their own mind and memories until they get old and die. Same holds true for geeks. Geeks can be just as obnoxious as the super jocks, lol.
Nerds can share some geeky attributes such as social skill difficulty when they are in junior and senior high school but generally have great intelligence. It is the intelligence skill that eventually learns the social skills to be accepted by “regular” people. Nerds are almost always shy when younger. A lot of us remain reserved when older.
The biggest differentiator is that nerds "learn" and get better with maturity in all regards: Sexual competence, relationship skills, auto repair and sports to name a few.
Geeks and super jocks are stuck in their own world forever . . .
and like it that way!
Here's to continuous learning . . .
P.S. Most geeks don't care about spelling
