I think having herpes pretty much says that no way in hell is she going to be the ANYTHING of my life. Never had an STD in my life and am not about to start now.

covering up doesnt stop it, if someone has cold sores on there mouth and there open durring oral sex, genital herpes can result. Even tho the person with cold sore DOESN"T have herpes. As I understand it, not all cold sores are herpes aka HSV1. Yes HSV1 can go genital, and yes you can get HSV1 or HSV2 from oral sex, and either can live on your junk or on your lip. But it's a pretty large leap to say that if the cold sore is not herpes, it can cause herpes???

Some Herpes facts that you might think about while you're trying to make your decision. 1: Cold sores Cold sores are a very common illness caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). If they have EVER had a cold sore they have herpes. 2: Herpes cannot be cured .. only suppressed 3: Tests for HSV are most often done only for sores in the genital area. In rare cases, the test may be done using other types of samples, such as spinal fluid, blood, urine, or tears. 4: The difference between type 1 or 2 in my opinion is academic as either can cause outbreaks anywhere on the body 5: 85 percent of the population has some form of herpes. Just because it is in a "Dormant phase" does not mean it cannot be transmitted. 6: A woman who has an outbreak in her third trimester of pregnancy can transmit the virus to her baby. 7: Wearing a condom is not a guarantee against the transmission to uncovered parts of the skin. These are of course "clinical" aspects for you to consider. The most important one of all has, I believe, already been stated... "Do you LOVE him?"
