| Ladies: Messages that Illicited Responses Posted: 10/28/2006 8:55:08 PM | I'll keep my answer here to a generalization.....no actual quotes...
what catches my eye are when they mention something from my profile..&..say they are interested in getting to know me because of my interests. or because of something I've said in the forums.
k - I lied......one actual quote...but he deserves it.... "I've got 8 inches of perfection with your name on it"....... yes, it got him a response....but probably not the one he was hoping on...

| Ladies: Messages that Illicited Responses Posted: 10/28/2006 8:56:43 PM | It's not my intention to encourage gossip. I've actually encouraged people not to theorize about why some messages worked and why others didn't.
Also, I think in a forum people are going to post whatever they wish - I shouldn't have to warn people on here of concerns that they would already be aware of, or that are actually my own concerns - besides everyone here is an adult and will post whatever they want and have enough maturity, I would think, to not do things they don't want to do.
My intention is not to tempt people into gossip or into smearing others - I'm hoping this is clear from the initial post and from the sprit of the messages that flowed from it.
I don't think people here are so immature that I need to list a myriad of rules for a completely public posting. But if all of you agree that I should, then maybe I should draft up some rules and regulations?

LMAO
Rule Number One: No laughing. Unless it's very funny.
Rule Number Two: Whether something is very funny rather than just merely funny will be decided on clear majority of at least 5 out of 6 posters on this thread.
Rule number Three: The OP cannot vote with respect to Rule Number Two.

| Ladies: Messages that Illicited Responses Posted: 10/2/2007 7:46:27 PM | ahaha the one time i can think of was when I added someone as a favorite and they sent me a message asking me why i had done that but sent no message... It was cause i couldn't think of anything at the time and the add to faves was there to remind me to send a message. That night had to have been the best conversation I ever had... I think it was around 5 or 6 hours long :P | |

| Ladies: Messages that Illicited Responses Posted: 10/2/2007 8:11:26 PM | Good suggestion Grey. I've posted some of the stupidest and most arrogant emails as examples of what NOT to say; but they still keep coming! I was recently BLASTED as rude and several other adjectives for deleting email from a guy who has NO picture posted, his interests were totally opposite of mine, yet for some reason he felt compelled to email me with his phone number and a demand that I call him. Geeee, wonder why I would delete an email like that!
I've tried a nicer approach too. Like writing back and thanking them for their interest, but politely pointing out that our interests are totally incompatible. Guess what??? EVERY time....their response is the same: "Hey, I really love all those things too!" It leaves me wondering, should I write back and say......"well shoot baby, I wasn't interested in you when I just thought we had nothing in common, but now that I see you're a liar who will say anything to get a date...we need to hook up!"
What really gets me is that the ones who whine the most about being deleted are those who refuse to post a picture. THEY wouldn't dream of emailing someone who didn't have a pic, yet they expect a response! Can we spell S-T-U-P-I-D?

| Ladies: Messages that Illicited Responses Posted: 10/5/2007 4:27:46 PM | I dont know, ive written a few emails, mostly commenting on things I read in there profile, and didnt get a response at all. Granted, my profile is a little hateful of the dating scene, but it sums up everything I want/am looking for in a woman.
I would have even taken a "F OFF loser!!" at this point.
