Posted: 1/8/2007 1:15:51 PM | This cruise is expensive. I have been on a dozen cruises and the most I ever paid was $700 per person. My last cruise was solo and I paid $499 plus a $250 adder(rather than double price) for a single occupant. That is roughly half the price of this one.
There happened to be a Vacations To Go singles cruise on that cruise. I did not sign up through VTG but did meet a nice lady on the ship who did book through them. We hit it off and she decided to not attend any of their events or eat dinner with the VTG group because there was strict enforcement of a rule not allowing anyone to attend events or eat dinner with the singles if you did not book through VTG. Since she wanted to be with me, she stopped attending their events.
My observation was that most of the singles who booked through VTG were undatable. It was probably the biggest group of losers that I have ever seen together. They looked like the Star Wars bar scene when they were partying together. Even they themselves got sick of seeing each other because all of the events hosted by VTG always had the same people attend every day for a whole week. There are more than 2000 people to meet on a cruise and they want you to stick with the same 50 people for a week, even if you would not date a single one of them. The only ones that actually had any fun were those who wandered outside of the singles group and met someone and then stopped attending the group events. When the VTG host figured out that my girl was planning to eat dinner at my table because I was not allowed to eat at hers, they waived that rule for me just so the group would not start to break up and venture out to eat on their own or skip their events(got to have some nice pictures for future marketing brochures). But after just one dinner with these losers we decided to dump them for good. By then end of the cruise they were all bickering and fighting like high school kids.
I am not going.

Posted: 1/8/2007 6:21:46 PM | | that story is so funny i can just imagine how it is!! i went to one of the pof party in my town and it was some kinda not really good experience!! i agree mcolf, star war bar scene haha!! i can just imagine stuck for 7 day on a boat, cant run and u cant hide:), whit some people i dont know doing there "fun" activities for 2-3 time u could pay anywhere else, not worth it. plus there only 5 person registered fully!! anyway that was my 2 cents so it make 4 cents for now, with cents we make dollars, whit dollars we can go on a better cruise!! | |

Posted: 1/12/2007 6:38:17 AM | ok there is something I'm not getting hrere.Is it only 590 for 1 person in american money and all inclusive o0r is that just for a room.I thought it was only 590 cuz I thought that was really cheap n then someone asked where u had to board the ship n then I noticed it had another list of prices that said 1375 around there now is that what it costs and do u add another 590 on that for the room cuz I live in Toronto so to get from here to wherever your to board I would like to know the price altogether in American dollars and where I would be going like a plane from Toronto to where n then where do u board.I hope someone can let me know n if someone does thank u in advance.Have a great day n everyone enjoy your trip if I don't go.Chow | |

I decided that I'm not going to go on this one, hoping to find something closer and cheaper. If anyone knows of a cruise or vacation along California or Baja coasts, I'm looking for one too. My aim is for sun, snorkeling, good food, and a variety of activities so we don't even have to leave the resort [or cruise ship] if we don't want. It'd be great to have a decent price on single occupants because I value my naps!! | |

The agency said only 6 or 7 people are actually from pof. As usual dishonnest people ruin the fun. If you are not participating please remove your name.

6 of us just went on this cruise ship on the same ports of call. We had an inside cabin.
It was the worst cruise I have ever been on. We were at least lucky that we didn't pay much money $599 each. The food was not good. The entertainment was souly done by the activities staff. Most of the staff onboard did not speak English. If you wanted to eat Lobster it cost $20 extra. The only good thing was that the ship was clean. My suggestion is don' go on this ship unless they offer it for free. | |

i wish i knew this before summer of 2006
i would of loved to go on this kind of cruise instead.
i went the worst week ever vday week ugh. NO SINGLES WHAT SO EVER
inless old i mean OLD grannie style count? (nothing near my age)
i so wanna do a cruise again. it's so much more fun when you go with
people you don't know. LESS FIGHTS!!!!! I lost count on how many time's
the four of us fought.
Did any one check out the Hard Rock Cafe in Bahamamamamamamama's?
I so wanna go back there again!!!!! Okay so I been off the boat since
Saturday the 17th. And today is Thursday. I still catch myself sometimes
esp in the bathroom g-d know's why rocking back and forth on the inside of me lol.

i came back to ny on sunday the 18th. we had a hour and 30minutes delay.
