I have been on a Vacations To Go Singles Cruise and the youngest person is 55! They also do not include airfare. There are other single cruises out there, but I think the whole point is to get a group of POF Members together and have some fun. This way people can meet on the forums before the cruise and meet in person on the ship. I am looking forward to meeting everybody in February! | |

Posted: 11/5/2006 5:31:50 PM | I think they have the wording wrong.....I have been on a few cruises and that sounds a bit expensive, even with the airfare included. It says prices are for 2 people, so you should not have to pay more because you want a single cabin or share one with another person.
It sounds like a nice cruise, but living in NE PA, if I wanted to go on the cruise, I would have to fly out of NY and I am about 2-3 hours from there, so I would then have the expense of getting to NY.  | |

How difficult can it be to figure out the cost per person, and the sharing room details, when ADMIN had posted all the pertinent information?

If a person can spend $529 for a inside cabin on that same cruise, and $448 round trip from DFW airport, and it's total cost is $917.00. Why would anyone want to pay any additional money for exact same cruise and booking date? Vacations To Go is one of many travel sites on the web. Saying that the youngest person on a vacations to go cruise (FYI-singles cruises IS NOT WHAT THEY EVER SELL OR PROMOTE) is 55 is wrong! I'm just letting people know that the cruise (if they do want to go on it) is available cheaper! And no I do not work for V.T.G., I just have used them for the last 5 years to book my cruises, and I'm NOT 55! | |

Cruise, cabin category as specified, all port fees, taxes, immigrations fees etc., airport transfers,****ail parties, special shore excursions for POF members, daily POF activities program and onboard, POF activities coordinators. | |

Posted: 11/6/2006 2:26:10 PM | Just so you guys know... this is not ALL INCLUSIVE. What they are NOT telling you, is that you have to pay for your drinks onboard... this can get very expensive... nevermind the $3.50 charge everytime you talk to someone practically.
There is no money changing hands on a cruise, you get hit with a huge bill at the end. And those drinks, etc add up big time.
If you want all inclusive, go to Mexico or somewhere hot... for 900 bucks you get a week including everything. | |

The port fees are not included in that, nor are the taxes, so yes you can add another $68.00
to the toatal. But the catamarn beach and snorkel tour your including is just $57.00 (according to the Costa Cruse web site). So I hope you are providing alot more than what is stated for the additional $300.00!!!

This will be my first trip kicking off my LIFE. I cant wait ..... I hope to meet alot of friends , and maybe that special man to experience life and my dreams with ... xox

It isn't about getting stuff for free or getting the best deal possible. It is about possibly connecting with someone that you might not otherwise get a chance to meet and making it as easy as possible. If you can't afford to go or don't want to go maybe the best thing is to just leave the post alone instead of bashing it. Nothing is for free anymore and cheaper is not necessarily better. | |
