I just wish they could be decent enough to at least say or email that they don't think it would work out, or that they're not interested. Even when I email them the next day and thank them for a wonderful dinner, or tell them I had a good time, or whatever, you'd think they'd have the kahunas to reply in some fashion. The joy of LOVE is quickly diminishing into a feeling of uneaded commitment...more and more people are more at ease being single...but if your looking for a date, put on something sexy and go to sit at a nice lounge and relax.

I think men in general will be more interested in someone that's confident about themselves, whether you are a size 2 or a size 22. I've been a bbw my entire life and never had a problem getting a guy. One thing also to remember is to get out and meet people in general, you need to be out in the social scene. Grab some girls, get all prettied up and head out on the town. There are many guys that love bbws...more than you might think.

See, I've been bigger most of my life... Of course, looking back at pics of myself when I was in my teens, I was only 30-40lbs overweight (but god I thought I was huge!)...
I'm now 37 and have had a series of short-term relationships that started because the guy was really into me and ended 'cause I realized I wasn't into them.
So yea, I think it's possible for men to fall for BBW... I'm just wondering if it's possible for me to fall for them.
That being said, I totally get what cowboyenuff said about the larger women he's dated. There ARE emotional issues - in my case at least - with being overweight. Obviously, I didn't consciously CHOOSE to be this big - would anyone choose that if they could? Very few, methinks. Just like I think very few people would choose to be gay. And I'm not saying that as a bash against large people or homosexuals. Just seems like those "lifestyles" (if it's called that) are the ones most used for insults/personal attacks so why would anyone choose to live with that "burden".
Here's the thing... While I'm confident in most areas of my life (people have called me intimidating sometimes), when it comes to romance I've always felt like a child and inept. And unfortunately, my weight is a huge issue (for me) in this area. Because it's an issue for me it's no surprise that I'm finding it an issue for guys (yes, I firmly believe we create our own realities)...
What I'm getting is it's not fair to myself and the men out there to say I'm searching for "dating" or a "long-term" relationship when I find myself being upset by the outlooks/comments of the men on this site. So I've changed it to "talk/email" and will take things from there. Ironically, when I removed my pic (although I still have myself listed as BBW) and put up a pic of a painting I love and changed myself to "talk/email" I've suddenly started getting emails. I went for months with maybe 2 email a month. Now in the last two days I've gotten 10+ email and several requests for chat.

I would love to think that there is someone for everyone. I do go through the profile and if they say they don't like anything other than thin or athletic women, then I just don't contact them. I can tell you that I get my share of emails and have met a few men on here that don't seem to mind my size. I do believe that a full length picture is a good idea. I have one of myself and most tell me that I look just like my pictures. Once they get to know you, they notice all the other things about you too. Don't give up. I know sometimes it seems helpless but it really is worth the wait. I'm waiting too. Something will come our way. So come on Austin and SA!!! | |

It seems as if 'most' guys are guaranteed to go for the skinny, ditzy, girl that wears wayyy too much make up and has ZERO intelligence.
I don't think I'm ugly.....I'm pretty wise, but I know I'm not 'skinny'!! I'm extremely laid back, VERY open-minded....low maintanance! But guys don't see beyond my bigger build. I'm certainly not soooo big that It's unforgivable....for crying out loud, I'm a size 14.
It just seems like most guys will take the shirt off of their back for a smaller girl...meanwhile., a thick can can't get any love!!!  | |
