| what put a major smile on your face today? Posted: 9/20/2005 12:23:54 PM | I was out feeding all of the animals, and in the path there was a lot of acorns that had fallen from the tree. I went and got a bucket, and racked them up, and took them over to my pet deer's pen, and poured them in side. She was so glad to see them. That many anyway. See she eats all of the one that falls into the pen, so getting a five gallon bucket full, makes her act young. She is older deer. We have had her about six years now. The kids like her because she is tame, and she can be petted. I am a hard one to understand. | |

There is a 4 year old left behind because she is afraid of one of the dogs. (he harmless, just big). My 10 year old heard her crying and turned around, went back to her, held out his arms, she held out hers, he picked her up and carried her home. What a great kid!!!!! She later drew him a picture to say thank you. I smiled and welled up in tears! Warmed my heart and will hold that memory in my heart forever! | |

| what put a major smile on your face today? Posted: 9/27/2005 11:58:49 AM | As an adult, the way I cope is breaking things down the way they did at the Mickey Mouse Club (I saw the old reruns of the 50's show as a kid). Each day of the week had a theme, and if you try to live by this, you will always find that you had a good day:
Monday: Fun With Music Day Tuesday: Guest Star Day Wednesday: Anything Can Happen Day (my favorite!) Thursday: Circus Day Friday: Talent Round-Up Day
I had a friend that lost her job and was looking and depressed. She had a very high level position, so it takes longer than other jobs. I gave her this road map to getting through each day (sounds goofy I know), and made her email me the results of each day as they pertained to this. It worked. She went out of her way to stay true to the theme, and had a great attitude. She found her job even faster (she claims) with her new found attitude.
So this I give to each of my fellow fishies.
