Dude I've never leeched off of freedoms , but think about it this way, I don't leech off of anyone and everyday I fight for my "own " freedom by working hard and helping people.
I don't carry a gun to do it. I carry decency, honesty, and integrity and sometimes even a heavy fist if I have to carry my intentions to the extent that I have to fight for something.
If you are defending war and the killing of people you are a fool and condoning the killing of people which would make you nothing more than an animal.
Cops carry guns because they have to stoop to the same level as those that they need to control. they are as corrupt as them in most cases from personal experience.
No person should ever carry a gun. You can buy your meat in a grocery store.
But if you want to fight me I would much prefer that a person would "man up" and do it close up like a person who isn't a coward.
How many people have to die before people realize that "handguns are made for killing , ain't no good for nothin else."
Anyone who needs to kill or defend from a distance greater than the reach of their own arms is a coward or thoroughly unfeeling and addicted to power. | |

Why is it guys always feel the need once I reveal that I am a nurse to ask me if I have "one of those sexy little nurses uniforms with the garters and heels....?"

Hopefully the Military will turn off the "women in combat" deal someday, without lowering the standards of the combat units so females can "make it".
As for the firefighters- Just comin' off shift isn't that hot.. But all I really wanted then was a shower anyway. Meetcha in an hour? | |

Hopefully the Military will turn off the "women in combat" deal someday, without lowering the standards of the combat units so females can "make it".
mate the women in the army are hopeless and personely i would let them only join as clerks and medics we had some in my regt in the artillery and couldnt lift sod all so we all did extra work to compensate they cant lift shells or bearly hold the machine guns as for front line stuff dont make me laugh they cant carry weight either. they shouldnt be in the police either some little 5'5 bird trying to sort out 6ft + men fighting have a word bloody country is a disgrace even some of the bloke coppers are a joke | |

The reason you can work with "decency, honesty, and integrity and sometimes even a heavy fist" is because there are people with guns to stop other people from interfering with you. Call it cowardly if you will, but the upper hand is always going to belong to the guys with the weapons. Better then for the best and most weapons to be on the side of all those handy traits you mentioned.
When you think about it, the entirety of law is based around the idea that someone has sufficient power to co-erce people into living according to a certain code. In the end you don't pay speeding tickets because its the right thing to do. There is no in built moral system that says "don't go 65 in a 55." You do it because if you didn't pay, they'd jail you. Forcibly if need be. And it wouldn't be a fight you could win. Not even one you would have a chance of winning. The same applies to larger crimes as well, though there may be some pre-built morals on those.
That being said, if someone pulls a knife on a state trooper, there's no reason the trooper should feel the need to get in a one on one knife fight. That would be counterproductive, teaching a rule of individual might that is completely against what you claim to stand for. Instead, the trooper shoots the perp, and the fact remains that while you may be able to sneak by the law, you can't just outmuscle it man to man.
A final note: manning up is fine for a prestige fight, but if you're gonna get in a real fight over a real issue, fight to win. If he swings a bat, tase him. If he pulls a gun, three or four guys with rifles knock him down. If he's a got a few buddies, you bring thirty. If it means shooting the other **stard from two hundred meters away at night while he can't even see you, go for it. You can be guaranteed he'd happily kill you in the same fashion. | |

My stereotype of women in uniform is that their profession requires that the women stay in better shape, so I presume that any woman I'd meet who works for the military, police force, fire department, etc. would be in good shape. I don't care what your legal occupation is, as long as you're making money without stealing, killing, or selling drugs.

First off I have dated a few navy girls which is why I can comment on this, along with the fact that I myself am in the Navy.
Some girls can pull it off, and those are the ones that are attractive BEFORE they get in a uniform. The working white skirt used to be pretty hot, but that skirt has been phased out now. Now the downsides to women in the Navy that are attractive.
1. They are surrounded by men for the better majority of every day. Not just any men, but crude, perverted, immature men (yes I said it, you should see us at work. We can put a 2nd grade classroom to shame with our potty humor). Being surrounded by men this much, they start to act, or at least pick up some of these traits. And while it makes for a much easiergoing workcenter, its just not what I want in my life when I step off the boat and go into civilian mode.
2. I know this is gonna be taken the wrong way, but USUALLY...they have gotten around, and gotten around within an enclosed group of people. Big no no in my book.
Now there is one girl who will always have my heart, but its because she had the perfect blend of everything. The saying goes "Sanity, Beauty, Inteligence; pick two" ...well she was a good blend of everything, cute as a button, and made them working whites look stunning.
In short, some girls pull it off some dont, but they all come with a price. | |

I am in the military and I don't carry a gun I kick boxes and issue underwear and uniforms to the military folks. The unfortuate thing is because not all people think like you and feel they need guns and other weapons for survival and security it escalates the reason for us to protect those that don't carry guns and other weapons. I am proud of what I and my fellow soldiers do and this Remembrance day go to a creimony near a military unit or base and see how many women and there are in uniform. Tell them thank you | |

I want you to know the only reason why women are in combat today is because that what women wanted. I remember 25 years ago there were none and I recall all the complaining by women saying that they are equal and can do the same jobs as men can. 25 years ago alot of men did not want women in combat roles for various reasons and yet 25 years later we have lost our first in combat. She did not only do her job well but she was proud and wanted to do that, she as with all the other women in the military do it because they choose to and I can honestly say most of them look damn fine in thier dress uniforms or thier fatigues | |

Nurses (traditional white), equestrian police (oh, the boots!) & military officers are ones that stand out to me....Hottness!
Still...it's probably the woman herself & not the uniform that I'm attracted to. | |

Thats not unlike the FD, strange humor, and I dish it right back with with a little class added in. I don't do the potty mouth, I prefer to stay a lady. But that doesn't mean I can't drag hose, pull a line, tap a hydrant, climb a ladder, and pull a ceiling etc.etc.etc. Just like the rest of them.
I made it a rule back when I joined the department that I would not date, see or anything else with anyone on my department at all. I've made that very clear to all, its just not going to happen. I care about these guys and their families. Because I keep things at a certain level, I'm trusted, and I like it that way. | |
