| Officially sanctioned witchhunt against illegal immigrants?
Posted: 7/1/2007 8:36:48 PM | Now and then, on the evening television news, you see a story about a lady who takes in every stray cat that shows up at her house. The lady acts out of compassion. She feels sorry for the poor, homeless cats. She puts out bowls of cat food and allows the strays to move into her shed and sometimes even into her home.
After a while, the stray cats become a problem for the lady. After that, they become a problem for the lady’s neighbors. Then the cats become a general public health nuisance.
Feeding stray cats mirrors the current problem of illegal immigration in these United States.
When America was a nation of settled, productive citizens, new immigrants were welcomed. New folks were a window into interesting and exotic cultures from other places. New folks were glad to be here and appreciated the freedoms and opportunities they found in their adopted homeland. They wanted to become U.S. citizens.
Welcome changed to caution when the new immigrants changed from a trickle to the rising waters of an invasive flood. Welcome changed to concern when the new folks who came here for jobs and freedom began to import their extended and extensive families and started to tap into the welfare and social services that Americans provided to see ourselves through hard times.
The cat lady began to have problems from her thoughtless compassion for stray cats.
Cats bred more cats. There were fifty new kittens born. Feral cats arrived in increasing numbers. Soon there were cat gangs fighting for food and territory. Male cats began killing kittens, as male cats do under those crowded conditions. The first litters of kittens grew up and within a year started producing their own litters of kittens. Soon there were hundreds of new kittens born to the growing herd of stray cats the cat lady was feeding.
The stray cat population was never tame. Now, cats were becoming more and more wild and vicious. Going among the cats, even to put out food, became hazardous. Cats introduced diseases, including rabies, that were hazardous to cats, other animals, and people.
Immigration has become hazardous to American citizens.
New folks’ birthrate far exceeds the birthrate of American citizens.
Radical immigrant leaders openly speak of Demographic Warfare against U.S. citizens. “You Gringos do not make enough babies,” the immigrant leaders say.
“We will out-breed you, kill you, and take your nation when there are enough of us.”
Demographic Warfare is not an empty threat, it is ongoing, operational aggression against American citizens, financed largely by handouts of government social welfare money.
Aliens who created misery and poverty for themselves in their homeland by irresponsible over-breeding that exceeded the carrying capacity of their environment intend to do the same thing to American citizens in these United States.
Illegals bring with them many sorts of deadly diseases that American citizens had eliminated or brought under control through decades of public health work.
Germ Warfare is added to Demographic Warfare.
Immigrant-introduced diseases are spreading through the American population. Within several years there will be epidemics of immigrant-introduced diseases that are resistant to drug therapy.
Immigrant boys and men form street gangs.
Throughout America, but especially in southwestern cities, roving gangs of legal and illegal immigrants murder, rob, sell drugs, kill Americans through fatal traffic accidents, and work to take control of political parties.
Aliens in prison greatly exceed the proportion of Aliens in the general U.S. population.
The cat lady lived in a rural area. County government officials knew that she was running a cat sanctuary, but they did nothing about the problem. Stray cats were good for business.
The cat lady bought a large amount of cat food every week. That was profitable for the local stores that sold cat food.
Politicians in State government and in the federal government are aware of the growing presence of illegal aliens flooding into America, but do nothing about the problem.
Aliens are ‘good for business.’
They ‘do the work that Americans will not do’ and they do it cheaply.
At least, the immediate cost of labor is less than companies would pay to American citizens. The enormous additional costs of welfare, public assistance and public health are conveniently overlooked.
Elected officials not only overlook the growing problems, they actively assist more and more Aliens to enter the U.S. Some cities declare themselves to be Sanctuary Cities where Illegal Aliens are welcomed and protected, and where they are helped to find food, housing, work, and social services benefits.
President Bush wants to merge Mexico, the U.S., and Canada, and has begun work on an international superhighway to allow foreign goods and illegal immigrants a direct, high-speed pathway into the nation’s heartland. Congressional elected officials push legislation to allow unlimited immigration that will double America’s population within thirty years.
Immigrants are awarded government grants to go into business in competition with U.S. citizens and are awarded preference in bidding on government work.
The cat lady’s neighbors eventually complained.
Cats were attacking neighbors’ children. The nighttime yowling became offensive.
Diseased cats were spreading their maladies among local pets and livestock.
The cats themselves were suffering. Cat diseases were taking their toll.
There were far more cats than the cat lady could afford to feed.
Cats became scrawny and undernourished, and began raiding pet food bowls at nearby houses.
Stray cats even sneaked into neighbors’ homes to steal food.
The odor of cat feces and urine grew into a stench.
American citizens have finally had enough of the elected officials’ and corporate officers’ malpractice.
There is a growing flood of complaints to officials to do something about the illegal aliens and all the problems they cause. The Aliens’ late-night blaring Mariachi music becomes increasingly offensive when American citizens are trying to sleep.
‘Guest Workers’ are inconsiderate guests, the sort of people that make Germans ‘Twice Glad.’ That is, glad to see the guests arrive, and glad to see them go.
At last, County Health and Animal Control officials were forced to act.
The cat lady’s cat sanctuary was raided.
Most of the cats were diseased and so malnourished that they had to be killed.
The few remaining moderately healthy cats were deported to local animal shelters for adoption.
Deported cats were rarely adopted because they were wild, vicious, and in such bad shape that nobody wanted them.
Some cats were taken away for use in laboratory experiments.
Cats that were not adopted were killed. The cat lady was fined and sent to jail. Her property was confiscated.
The only practical way to stamp out the massive diseases in her cat sanctuary was to burn all her buildings, which was done. The cat lady’s misplaced compassion was ultimately disastrous to herself and to the stray cats she took in.
U.S. citizens are realizing that the multitude of problems brought in by illegal aliens are the direct result of legislative malpractice and corporate malpractice.
There would not be a problem if irresponsible elected and corporate officials had not flung the door wide open to illegal immigration.
The cat lady and the problems caused by her sanctuary for stray cats were dealt with eventually.
But another cat lady will always arise, in another place.
Liberalism and destructive compassion, minus responsibility, will be with us always.
Political malpractice will be with us always.
Short-sighted corporate officials will always put this year’s profit ahead of long-term stewardship.
Clear-cutting a forest has more financial appeal than tree farming.
America is approaching decisive action on the problem of illegal aliens.
Will elected officials and other leaders fix this situation before it becomes a crisis?
Illegal uncontrolled immigration will probably have to be dealt with the same as the cat lady’s stinking, disease-ridden, overpopulated cat sanctuary.
The longer the problem runs, the more severe will be the action necessary to correct the problem.
Politicians got us into this mess. Politicians can get us out.
Basically, the problem is every Senator who has been in office more than two terms and every Representative who has been in office more than six terms.
Washington D.C. is a corroding, corruptive atmosphere in which to work.
Unless you are CERTAIN that your people in Congress and in State and Local Government are worth keeping, you likely will do better with new people representing you in government.

it has been shown in the literature that people with economic opportunity also have smaller family sizes, seeing hope for their kids to go to school, etc.
but then along comes a predator who kills the cats. so along come the cat rescue groups and the ones that specialize in feral cat rescue.
summary: if you are going to use an analogy, get your facts straight.
just checking in people. how are you sweetie? other than that, i guess the purpose of my original thread here has evolved into venting. not my intention, but i believe Higher Power will ultimately prevail.
a number of saddened mexican americans, CITIZENS, grieved this past week. however, some of my mexican friends tell me that a significant number of many mexican americans were against bush's proposal as well as the euro's. as to the specifics, no one seems to know. i would guess that they live in gang torn areas and are at the point where the evils of the gangs are outweighing their concerns for the decent people who come here to feed their families-- again, with corporate and business approval, despite the illegality!
on an even higher plane, what amazes me is that this man who i despise for his international oil interests, is holding hands with democrats to pass the immigration bill. also very interesting are the recent articles on american seniors retiring to mexico where they can live a better life! wonder if they will throw us out for that? does anyone see the larger economic balance that is going on?
oh and how many kids did your grandparents and great grandparents (pof'ers under age 50) have? out of curiosity... if family size went down, did opportunity go up for your family?
oh well, have fun people. better to vent in a safe enviroment than to hurt real live people with words i guess.
ps e, your question makes no sense to me. people can be considered "not prejudiced" on a personal level, but continue to benefit from racist institutions. not my idea, but it's a good one to distinguish. | |

That is not unusual, I mean after all, if you read some responses it is obvious that you need not to be an illegal alien to behave as anything other than a human being...
These types of 'truths' only hurt those who seem to believe and promote these...
As J said neither you nor me will have the final say so, and by God I do hope you aren't wrong by placing less importance on a human being than you are on Patriotism...
Know what? I wouldn't be surprised if some of you may be hoping to get the "green light" from Jesus just because you were born in the US of America...

Has nothing to do with ones Christianity or prejudice or discrimination......those claims are just an attempt to transfer guilt, some use to justify putting others down......when they can't substanciate...their position any other way. Laws are laws....for a reason.....

Such is not the case here. Local officials in Hazelton are charged with a duty to maintain "peace and good order", and are trying to do so.
The Federal Government has dropped the ball on this problem, for whatever reasons. It's time to hold their feet to the fire about this matter, starting with George W. Bush.
He has the power, RIGHT NOW, to bring the situation under control. NO ONE is advocating "Mass Deportations", nor are such measures needed. Just CONTROL (not close) the border, ENFORCE current laws regarding employment, and take steps to deny "Free" public services to illegals. (Schools, medical care, etc.)
If these things are done, illegals will suddenly find a way home all by themselves.
This is not a "witchunt", it's just common sense. | |

I think that fact that I consider myself neither of these two makes me most adequate to list the differences of the two as I objectively and carefully have observed these over the years....
Most liberals never lost sight of the potential for evil in big government. They have consistently opposed government power in matters of personal and political belief. These individuals are concerned with economic liberty, but they have come to believe that the common good requires that social justice be given a higher priority than absolute freedom financially speaking.
Conservatives are and always have been on the other side of both questions.
They are much more prone than liberals to limiting personal and political liberties, but they place the freedom of an individual to do as he pleases in the economic realm at the top of their concerns.
Now for the latter; social justice has held a lower priority. Since the days of Alexander Hamilton when they favored strong government as a means of protecting their economic privileges, to the days of Ronald Reagan, when government is seen as an instrument of social justice and therefore a threat to their economic position. Hell nowadays, being conservative pretty much means you are engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.
Personally I think they are equally radical; one thinks "This is old, therefore it is good"; the other says, "This is new, therefore it is better."…
Now if you really think about it, over the years, every single human being that is a natural born citizen, immigrant, whether illegal or legal, has been responsible for the current situation where illegal immigration is concerned.
The individuals mostly responsible are conservatives and liberals equally.
One seems to be constantly involved into celebrating diversity and adjusting the English language because some minority group was offended at someone else's words, over the economy of the country. Therefore, their negligence on the US economy makes them unequivocally inept to govern a corporation let alone the country.
The other one who does reject any suggestions because they are new, makes no changes and consults his grandmother when in doubt, but more importantly, values its privileges above its principles, and will loose both, if they haven't already…
I don't know about you; but I rather think on the above when I vote…
History will not let me lie; the lady and the cats will be around for as long as either one of the above groups want them to be...
BTW: I am still wondering, why are you so proud of being an American?

When someone comes or goes to any country "illegally" for the sake of obtaining what that country offers, in material possessions.....is that not coveting what is your neighbor's? When someone lies to obtain that which is not theirs....is that not against God's words and the Ten Commandments.....

The above commandments need no explanation. They mean exactly what they are saying. It’s quite amazing how many of these commandments are being broken on a regular basis, even by Christians themselves. If you look very closely at each of these commandments, they really do cover a broad spectrum as to what God is expecting from each one of us.
They are good, basic laws that will help keep us right before God, and also help keep us out of trouble with ourselves, our families, our friends and our neighbors. God knows what is best for all of us and He simply wants all of us to stay out of trouble in order that we may be able to live in peace and harmony with Him and one another. | |

It also states there is forgiveness of every sin except blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.
There is also a cliche that states, "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones."
Recently, a comic posed the question, "I wonder what would have happened if Native American practiced stricter immigration laws?"
Whether you favor new immigration laws or not, I think of all the sinless people who make harsh judgment on others. I also think about examining each aspect of the issue at hand.

If you go back and read any of my post, I do not bring God or Christianity into the debate/discussion, until the last post you referred to, in response to those who say objecting to illegal behavior is unchristian. But I am tired of those who can not honestly tell me it's NOT OK to break laws, no matter how they try to justify it and use Christianity, prejudice, discrimination or racist as their argument to justify slamming those opposed .
It is simply what it is, people breaking laws of our land and DEMANDING RIGHTS they are not entitled to, that is the issue with most of the American People.
I am a Christian, I am not prejudice nor am I discriminatory or racist, but how can we teach our young people right from wrong.....if singled out groups are rewarded for disregarding the laws of the land?
Also we live in the now time......slinging examples from the past.....having no bearing on dealing with problems of today......
Why should people who have broken the law.....deserve special consideration? | |

No one seems to know? Or YOU don't know? Aa significant number of LEGAL, law-abiding, immigrant Americans ARE against amnesty for illegal aliens. And instead of guessing as to why, perhaps you should take the time to find out who they are and why they feel as they do.

Like the majority of American citizens, they too are opposed to what was contained in the Senate Bill and they too will fight for effectively secured borders and no amnesty for illegal aliens and their employers. Had the Senate Bill passed...
Illegal aliens would have been given LEGAL STATUS after just 24 HOURS, even if their background checks were not complete.
Illegal aliens previously ordered deported, Illegal aliens with TERRORIST connections and Illegal alien gang members, which are estimated at 30,000 in 33 states, WOULD have been eligible for amnesty.
Those ordered deported….could take their case to immigration court and …Taxpayers would pay for the Attorneys to represent them.
Those TEMPORARY Z visas, as written in this bill, could be renewed INDEFINITELY.
Remember how AMNESTY was NOT Amnesty because illegal aliens would be required to pay back taxes? In this bill, not ONLY would illegal aliens NOT have had to pay back taxes, but they would have been eligible for EARNED INCOME CREDIT.
In this Bill…..some Illegal Aliens would have been able to collect social security credits for the years they worked ILLEGALLY.
Border security was not FIRST in this bill AND the 7 to 800 mile of fencing, proposed and so EAGERLY signed into law by President Bush was slashed….. cut IN HALF and requires no more Agents, Beds, or Fencing, than CURRENT law.
Incorporated into this bill was the DREAM ACT. Not only does The DREAM Act give In-State Tuition to illegal aliens, a benefit DENIED U.S. citizens, but it also makes eligible for amnesty illegal aliens who have been in this country for 5 years without managing to get caught!
Included in the bill….. Learning English would not have been required for MORE THAN 10 YEARS AFTER AMNESTY IS GRANTED.!
In this Bill, the agenda for the Security and Prosperity Partnership, for creating a North American Union which would effectively ERASE borders among the United States, Canada and Mexico would be given TOP PRIOITY and fast tracked. An agenda which would ultimately destroy the sovereignty and security of OUR Country!!

the site you referred me to "Ultimately" led to three testimonials against illegal immigration from a person from puerto rico, another from ecuador and another from peru!!! by the way, the copy and paste of your reference above did not work, so i took out the apostrophe. some kernel of mexican ancestry put it together. the original site is filled with advertising and misspellings. are you sure this is where i am going to find all this info on the many mexicans who do not support the bill? i was all set to copy and distribute to mexican friends who were interested in what you were saying, but quite frankly it seems like a cut and paste, minimally regarded website. perhaps i landed on the wrong one?
shall we try again? advise.
