You make it sound as if people who are concerned about all this illegal immigration are just waiting around for the government to fix the problem and not doing anything about it. Voting in people(people with voting records to back up their claims, not decievers who talk tough but have a voting record that proves otherwise) who will fix the problem is the way to get the problem fixed. Problem is there are alot of people out there who don't even know how bad the problem has become, and a large part of that is because of the media(except for Lou Dobbs on CNN) not wanting to touch the issue most of the time(perhaps because of the screams of racism that happen whenever anyone says anything negative about illegal immigration). I think people who claim this is all about racism just want to scare people into being silent on the issue and make them give up and forget about the problem.
Excellent points! Bullying, calumny and hyperbole are the usual methods of radicals.
We also should be holding the kleptocratic Mexican governmment financially liable for the billions expended absolving them of their responsibility.
Another problem is people who do not care about politics, and news related stuff in general. Over the years, you would not believe how many young people(18-30) I heard say that they don't care about politics, watching the news, searching out news items on the internet, etc. They are too busy watching other stuff on t.v.(sports, csi, survivor, etc.)and busy with their own personal lives to care. This is a big problem, a large number of people just don't know and don't take time to educate themselves on issues like this.

Immigrants, as well as from illegal immigrants pay millions of dollars every year in Federal Taxes that are taken from thier paychecks every payday just like you and me. They however are unable to recieve tax refunds, so the US government gets to keep all of that money. The IRS doesw not complain, money in the pocket...... Immigrant works provide a huge service to all of the American people who feel they are too good to take jobs working in crop fields and washing dishes at fast food places all over the USA. These people are hard working family people that came here to make a better life. (White) Americans just like to discriminate (hate) and because it is illegal to openly dislike someone for being African American or Native American, we find the next best thing. These laws are witch hunts, because there are a lot of legal immigrants from many spanish speaking countries here in the US, and it is a down right same that they have to live in fear of those that seek them out to prove thier legal status. When you have brown skin and/or come from a family that speaks english and spanish you know your whole life what it means to be hated. I was born in this country and have lived my whole life here, my mom and dad were also born here, but let someone here my last name ---- then i need to prove i belong here. How do I do that? Take my birth certificate with me everywhere I go. Well, if have to then you should have to as well.... and you don't have to but i do, it is discrimination! Stop the hate people. if you do not think this is just a matter of hate, then tell me, when is the last time you did not get a job you wanted to a person that you are positive was "an illegal" or better tell me when you ever dreamed of a job as a dish washer or a field worker.....  | |

And finally a little advice~~If you feel every time someone hears your last name that they want you to whip out a birth certificate to prove you are a citizen,take your birth certificate down to your local Post Office ,submit an application for a passport,along with about 112.00
in filing fees,{which includes them taking a photograph}and then you can whip out picture identification that is good anyplace to prove you are a citizen of the good old U.S.of A. | |

I would also agree that many of you or not motivated by racism but some people are and what he says about that rings true. Its most noticible with the issues of illegal aliens and black Katrina victims. Lots of old words like "shiftless" seep into the conversation, words traditionally used to decribe those of a different color. | |

You're correct... proof of native ancestory is only required for qualification for reparations and the "free ride" associated with it. 1. Everyone has to apply for citizenship in other countries, why on earth should the USA be forced to do different?
2. Does Canada, Italy, Germany, France, Sweden, etc. etc. etc. allow certain 'benefits' to non citizens of their county? NO! I know for a fact having lived in other countries for extended periods of time. I agree with the policy. Be a citizen of a Country (contribute to that country's financial landscape) and receive that Country's benefits.
3. The taxpayors of the USA pay for everything it has here and dishes out Overseas. Like it or not. That's the facts. So, it does get irritating, as a taxpayor, to see people receive benefits without paying taxes. For whatever reason causes it, it gets old...real old.
I will give ONLY my opinion on subjects I have dealt with firsthand...up close and personal. Healthcare and Military aid to other countries via the USA cannot be underestimated.
What I will NOT do is bash another Country for the way they run their nation. I'm not a citizen there. I WILL do my best to provide any input I have in an unbiased way...but, find it very rude and as the saying goes...'stupid is as stupid does'... to outright bash/comment in a hateful tone re' another Country.

It seems that the majority of the people on this forum would like to return to the days of the Nazis or something and want to conveniently scapegoat the most disadvantaged groups that exist in the so called richest country in the world. This standard of living and freedom of opportunity you speak of is reserved for a very select few, those who have the power and money to take advantage of others.
These disadvantaged groups that exist here in this rich country that you are discussing are illegal. There are plenty of AMERICAN CITIZENS BORN HERE OR ARE LEGAL IMMIGRANTS. THEY DESERVE TO BE HELPED BEFORE AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT. There are plenty of people working for minimum wage or have lost their jobs do to the present administration. Why let illegal immigrants drain our social system and not be able to help our own. Money spent on illegals is costing the prices of medicine, Insurance,etc to go up and hurting USA born and legals. Demand and supply. No one asked them to break the law and enter illegal. They are lucky that they are not thrown into prison like some countries do. If USA is so bad why are immigrants of all ethnicity's trying to get into this country legally. Why aren't they rushing to France, Spain and Germany if their social systems are so great!I don't think anyone begrudges anyone from different countries coming into the country the right way, legally. | |

well......guess what? .......I happen to be white as you might have noticed.... and I happen to be tired of the anti-white culture we live in....it truely is "hate" .
I think there are political reasons for this policy that certainly couldn't be classified as good constructive reasons....quite the contrary...but that's another subject.
I think Europeans by and large are great people and a reality check will testify to their achievements in all manners of good and accomplishment. Whites if anything are too altruistic to the point of giving in to a media inspired guilt and carry around a group guilt complex to the point of cultural suicide....This is not the case with other cultures who seem to have group awareness and act in group preservation...but they often get the victimhood complex which may not be much better!
I make no apologies for the fact that I'm proud to be a white of Scottish heritage and I will defend my ancestors because I think they were good people .
I think that the idea that early Americans were bent on genocide and raping the land as some sort of policy is so ludicrous and childish that I don't know why I should have to defend them........I think time's were tough in crowded europe and they were dirt poor and they wanted to move to a better place and live and build and make a better life for all in a land that was super harsh and survival was at best difficult.
I think it's time to grow up and realize tolerance is a two way street and racism works both ways!!..and you can't get away with demonizing my people without any reaction. | |

Is it okay to illegally immigrate to America from Europe but not okay to illegally immigrate from Mexico? I have no idea why any one would not understand someone else's need to want a better life.
I don't even know that undocumented immigration should be differentiated as illegal because dare I say it, American history seems to indicate that U.S. immigration laws have mostly been based on economics rather than morality. Spun out of the ideas of one powerful group keeping more of the available resources for itself by excluding others. American Indians, whose presence here preceded that of the people who appointed themselves as the county's lawmakers, were marginalized for this very reason. And its still true that the fear of this supposedly overwhelming immigrant tide, is fueled by just that, fear, and also a kind of innate greed along with perhaps a complex of superiority. Immigration, legal or otherwise, has never and never will break the back of any nation.
You know, reading all of this made me realize, looks and profiles are one thing, but these forums are excellent to find out what really is in the mind and heart. | |
