| Have u ever came across a fun, cheeky, ghost or bad, naughty ghost? Posted: 8/16/2009 8:29:10 PM | | Obviously you have a sort of mind set that lives within safe boundaries ... I'm sure you are nice . But what if ,.... can you think this way for a short time ? .. you are wrong and just because others have had experiences different in nature from yours .. then why conclude that they have had too much to drink ? Just curious . It seems to me a big logical leap . | |

| Have u ever came across a fun, cheeky, ghost or bad, naughty ghost? Posted: 8/18/2009 7:10:39 AM | I have had a few experiences with 'ghosts'.
The first when I was around 5 or 6. I remember laying in bed feeling terribly frightened and I could see an image of a man floating above me. I remember him being quite colourful, wearing very brightly coloured clothes like a court jester, and I could see through him. He was laughing at me and I kept ducking under the covers hoping he would go away...
The second time was when I was around 10. I could feel the blankets sliding off the bed, so tried to reach down and get them before they slid completely off. When I looked down to crab them it appeared as though someone was pulling them off the bed, only I couldn't see anyone. Panick set in and I thought I'd kick whatever/whoever was doing it. Only I was paralysed and couldn't move. It felt like someone had layed down on top of me. Then all of a sudden the weight was gone, and my sisters blanket (from the top bunk, I was on the bottom) fell down, enclosing me in my bed. I freaked out, jumped out of bed, through her blanket back on her, turned on all the lights and TV's in the house and didn't sleep for the next couple of nights.
The third was at my sister-in-laws house. I was in the spare room looking for some clothes in my suitcase when all of a sudden the lights went out and it felt like someone touched my leg. There was no one else in the room. As soon as I screamed the lights came back on.
The forth was just before I discovered I had breast cancer. I was laying in bed one morning, my ex had already left for work, when it felt like someone had laid down on top of me. I was paralysed and couldn't move, I tried to scream but nothing would come out. Then just as soon as it came it was gone. I always thought that maybe it was my Nan trying to warn me about the cancer. When I asked a psychic a few years later she said it wasn't. That maybe because of the cancer there where gaps in my aura and they an entity was trying to get in. (scary thought) I still believe it was Nan.

Posted: 8/18/2009 8:16:13 AM | I've had the disembodied, paralyzing weight, damn near suffocated me more than once and of course that was terrifying, and awry perceptions centred around specific, moving locations in the house, one short period of actual hallucinations once several years ago. These are conventionally unexplained or poorly explained at best, but imho it is a leap to attributing them to ghosts for comfort reasons instead of allowing them to continue as unexplained or poorly explained phenomena which have physical influence, which maybe somewhat more frightening to some. I'm pretty comfortable with what I don't know myself.
To my best determinations though pseudoscientific if to offer any explanation, they appear to me as a simple observation, to be directly associated with other living creatures, typically human beings in close proximity. Like a next door neighbour who is having emotional issues with his ex-wife and so on, and also a reflection of my own present state of social interactivity. These sensations and experiences are far more acute when I've been a little depressed lately and haven't been interacting socially enough as to be emotionally healthy, which is a big hint towards mundane phenomena witnessed through circumstantial perceptions.

| Have u ever came across a fun, cheeky, ghost or bad, naughty ghost? Posted: 8/20/2009 4:07:15 PM | I've only had a few unexplainable experiences that I have often wondered about but something very odd happened just recently (a couple of weeks after the passing of my partner Douglas). My daughter who is 3 walked into the office laughing, saying "Douglas is funny mummy". It was out of the blue and I have been finding it hard to explain his lack of presence here these last few weeks, so I asked her "what made you laugh honey?" She said "Douglas did, he's sitting on the table (coffee table)" I asked her where and she took me out to the living room and pointed to a clear spot on the coffee table and said "he was right there, but he's gone now. He made me laugh"
My best friend also did the same thing, we were sitting on my veranda and she suddenly goose bumped and said "oh my god I just had this perfect image of Douglas leaning against that pole right there". She had only met him out, so had never seen how he would normally behave at home here, but that is exactly where he often stood.
Myself, I felt him around me constantly in the first 2 weeks, but put it down to grief and wishing him to be here. He did all the usual things, arms around me in the kitchen, shared the hammock with me, cuddled me in bed, even came grocery shopping with me, which he rarely did lol, but it suddenly stopped after two weeks. He felt gone after that. The odd thing is his ex-wife said the same thing not 2 or 3 days ago. She said she felt him around and it stopped about the same time...just the odd feeling now and then happen now.
He was never good at goodbyes

Mum was at the end of the bed when I woke up and called her she moved away.
I have heard this numerous times... And, once from my Grandma... when she saw her brother at the end of her bed... She stated that not only did he move away, but he shook his head no and disappeared.
I was later told, (I was a child), that it is dangerous to touch a spirit.
I've seen aura's, ghosts, had hand prints on my body when I've woken, a mist go straight through me at a Church that was converted to a restaurant/night club when locking up, with what sounded like "singing" choir voice style, I certainly think that there is such a thing as paranormal....
Loved ones only need to appear once, to let you know they are still there.... I believe.

| Have u ever came across a fun, cheeky, ghost or bad, naughty ghost? Posted: 8/23/2009 7:19:30 AM | There is a good show about ghosts on Fox8. Its called Ghosts Hunters.
They quite often debunk the ghosts stories. One case the guy was feeling sick every time he was in his garage, always felt like someone was watching him, things where going bang through the night. They found logical reasons for everything that was going on. Chemicals kept in the garage, which could make him feel ill, exposed wiring that gave off really high EMF readings, which can cause paranoia, and loose pipes.
Occasionally though they do find paranormal activity, one episode a figure of a man was walking up some stairs in an old lighthouse. They saw the figure lean over the balcony and look at them. They chased after it, only to find that there was no one there, and no way out of there, and it was all caught on film.
Interesting show. | |

| Have u ever came across a fun, cheeky, ghost or bad, naughty ghost? Posted: 8/25/2009 12:18:08 AM | I've had several eerie experiences over the years, but one particular event defies conventional explanation. I had reorganized a shelf in my store earlier in the day, with one shelf containing a multi-faced row of about 20 identical rectangular-shaped bottles arranged next to each other across width of the shelf. At about 4pm, I walked past my newly reorganized shelf only to find that every second bottle had been moved back about 2 inches away from the edge of the shelf. All the bottles were still perfectly parallel to the edge of the shelf however. I didn't think much of it and just fixed the display and carried on with my day.
NOBODY came into the store between the time I fixed the bottle display and the next time I walked past the same shelf again around 5 pm... only to find that the 2nd and 4th bottles were again moved back about 2 inches from the edge, and the 6th bottle had been moved about 1 inch from the edge. Again, all the bottles were still perfectly parallel to the edge. I put my hand on the shelf to see if I could feel any vibration that might explain the movement, but I couldn't feel anything. Vibration wouldn't have explained the precise movement anyway (i.e. every second bottle moved, but still perfectly parallel to the edge.)
Background to this event: before arriving at my store that day, I had been talking to the "resident ghost "at my other office ... I'd been hearing mysterious noises for about 10 years and half-jokingly attributed the noises to supernatural causes. Though I had always expected to discover a rational explanation for the noises, I still amused myself occasionally by talking to this 'phantom'. This particular day, I was just popping into the office for a few minutes on my way to the store and announced to the ghost (who seemed to be making a bit more noise than usual) "Relax, I'm leaving for the store. You have the place all to yourself for the day. I'll be back tonight though."
After seeing the bottles moved once again, with no possibility of human contact, it occurred to me that the spirit from the office had followed me. So when I left the store, I announced out loud that I was heading back to the office. When I returned, the noises, which always sounded like a door opening and closing followed by footsteps moving away into the distance, were louder than ever and were repeated over and over again. Though I wasn't usually afraid of these noises anymore, I found the unusual intensity a bit unnerving and left quite quickly.
After that day, the bottles never moved again AND I never heard the noises in the office again (after hearing them regularly for almost 10 years!)
I guess my ghostly friend was just saying good-bye. How weird is that??!!
