I'v "talked" to guys for a while and gone on a lot of dates but nothing serious ever came from it. Don't worry about finding a BF. Be happy with yourself and content with being you and someone will come along. | |

i'm 19 as well and i've never had a boyfriend either. did have some flings, if you could call them that, and right now i'm dating (with loads of complications), so take it from someone's who's been there, it's not weird.
just take your time and don't think there's something wrong with you.
if someone hasn't come along then maybe it wasn't time yet.
they always say that you'll find someone when you stop searching, i guess that's the best i can say. | |

I was never asked out, was the last one to have my first kiss, lose my virginity etc. I went through the depression, lack of self esteem, and was taken advantage of. My first sexual experience I was raped, and never really recovered from that. Insecurity is dangerous, as it allows people to have the upper hand. You are a very pretty girl, and sometimes guys can be intimidated by that. Build everything else up, enjoy your life and especially the college life, and when you'e ready you will me a great guy that actually deserves you. | |

Posted: 4/27/2007 10:29:24 AM | I think that is really kool & i wish I had had someone encourage me to do that..girls have a tendency to imitate their boyfriends...practically worship them...& they end up finding themselves 27 yrs old & trapped in situations that weren't their dreams...because they didn't get the chance to find out who they are...& what they wanted...I think all women should have time to do that..to find that they can enjoy their own company...then find a man to match it...(it's nice being in charge of the remote too)...
I bet you have alot more interest than most girls your age..& are more independent...& when you do choose someone to be with...you will do it more wisely than most do in the begining...I envy you...you've had time to get smart & plan your life...instead of jumping into it...good luck...

That is what I hope, I start College in the spring so I hope I will be able to open up and talk to people. There were many guys I crushed on from afar, I hope I don't do that again.
College will be a great place to meet new people and possibly find someone that you gel with....
I didn't have a serious boyfriend until AFTER college..... and that's alright with me, cuz guys at that age weren't really lookin' for anything serious...(if you know what I mean...)
So enjoy your time with self cutie... they'll be plenty of men flocking your way soon enuf!!

Posted: 4/27/2007 4:58:43 PM | oh wow..i'm 28 and never had a gf. i've kissed tons of frogs..err..girsl,  but i've just never met someone that had mutual feelings or had a good enough connection. its life. the key is not to fall into the trap of expecting to have certain things at whatever age. we all can't live the same lives. it would be too boring..matter of fact, its already boring.. but anyway, 19 is still young, i wouldn't sweat it. i'm not even sweating it 'cause i can say i honestly try and do more than most people. i'm not ashamed of anything you shouldn't be either.. | |

It's rather sad really, I've had people giving me advice since I was like 17, saying don't worry you will meet someone, bla bla bla, I still have people telling me that, and it's getting old fast. I will admit I am picky when it comes to girls, and since I have no dating experience, I dont really know exactly what I want in a girl. I have a basic idea, but that's about it. I have little cousins that have done more with girls than I have. I asked girls out before, usually it's no I am taken, or they actually say yes, but then suddenly they dont call me, as if I scare them off or something. Most people that know me think of me as a wise, direct, funny kind of guy. I am in the prime of my life right now, not fat, not stupid, I actually have a job, and I would'nt consider myself as being ugly. I dont think theres anything wrong with me asides being a little shy, maybe not as social as most people. I am getting older, and my patience is wearing thin. I remain hopeful that I will meet someone soon, If not, I will continue to be myself, and be the best that I can be.  | |

long story short.....I married him....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR dumbarse mistake #1....to be followed by many others over a 26.5 year period.
yeah....why would it be an odd thing?... women have other things to do with their lives but date n mate and do hair n makeup.
me....well I was brought up in a strict home... no dating... so I snuck around with this guy after they forbid me to see him.... ....anyhow...
I have 3 daughters.... I am not going to be the Mother from Hell and forbid them from dating, but I am not going to encourage it either.... their father however has a lot of rules... like no pierced ears, no makeup...blah blah blah... dating would send him over the edge. | |

Oh and I only received my first real kiss last year. So I don't think it's odd if you've never been kissed. I'm sure it'll happen in due time. | |
