| Why don't people post a picture on their profile?
Posted: 9/23/2006 10:08:10 AM | The woman I married wasnt exactly what one would call everymans dream, but she was attractive to me. I could talk to her all the time, and felt comfortable, so even if you have looks that you like, and a personality that you like, a chemistry together as well, thats not enough for a relationship to work. IF the person doesnt have the character to stick with what he,or she has committed to, then its all for nothing. The pics are important, but if someone handles any little bit of adversity in a relationship by running away to the next one without even trying to work, then no looks, or even personality means nothing at that point. Then all you have is 2 broken hearts , and have to start back at square 1 with the next relationship. And yet, we all seem to look more for looks and personality over Character. I am as gulty of that as anyone.  | |

Posted: 9/27/2006 1:38:25 PM | i started out with out a pic, and i got a good amount of responses. then i put my pix up and ill be a monkeys uncle if i didnt get messages every minute literally!!!! no bullschit. then most were shallow wanting sex or just plain idiots. major fukkin freaks, and i decided to pull my pix just to do some reasearch of my own. many of the guys asked why i took it off, the others thoughtb i was hiding some kind of monsterously hideous face like i was the mask in girl form or some thing, then when i sent the pix they were all on me becoming stalkers and schit. so thats my reason 4 not having a pix. but if all want to see ill gladly reapply the pix. anyway when you look as cute as a button why flaunt it, if you decide to take me on a date i like to see the look when your toungue falls out your face when i walk out the door!!!! For one thing, my friends always try to match me up with losers (abusive druggies -- fun) that they know and finding this out would give them one more excuse. Kudos to you Loving!!! Far too many people are hung up on appearances and in that pre-judgement of another, don't take the time to find out the truly beautiful person someone is on the inside.
I've maintained that the person we are on the outside is not something we have a lot of control over, but the person we truly are, our thoughts, actions and personality, well that's something we have complete control over. And in my opinion, it can easily make a person far more attractive... | |

Well now, call me naive if you want, but I'm thinking the people that don't post a picture simply don't want to be judged by their appearance.

I shall not pretend to take up for someone without their expressed permission, but I regress on this one. I read her comments and am trying to find the insult you alluded to. Let's clue in here my friend, when you make a comment like that on one woman, you've said it to all women.....and they will take up for each other. Somethings are left better unsaid, really. I see your point and appreciate your position, but you don't have to say it....in pounds....in the open forum. They will all casitgate you for it. I mean no insult to you, as I believe Pssst did not either. I have read many of her post, she has a huge hint sarcasm in most to some of everything she post and just having some fun with it as well. I would say, read it again and lighten up just a bit.
I really doubt she was insulting you..........

The average person choses the person they want to befriend by the way they look not because of what is in the person heart. Looks can play a role in the way you chose you mate BUT should not be the first reason. Get to know the person by having real conversation, the main ingredient missing out of most relationships; discuss some issues that you have experience in your past dealings and see how the person responds. Have some heart-to-heart conversations with a person and find out what really matters in a relationship to keep it alive.
I believe that you can really find out the heart of a person by their conversation NOT their looks. | |
