| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 1/3/2007 7:20:51 AM | I chose my name because i am pagan in nature and i've always loved the moon. I did some research and found the Babylonian moon gods name was Sin, sometimes spelled Syn, depending on which text you're reading. i use the x's as decoration, kinda like a little picket fence. My chosen faith is Sumerian, but the Sumerian moon gods name is Nanna, which doesn't sound nearly as cool as Syn, so Syn it was. | |

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 1/3/2007 11:29:08 AM | | My nickname growing up was Nik and I used that when I chatted. But because a lot of people don't bother to look at profiles before IM'ing someone, I got a lot of IM's from girls thinking I was a guy. So I added the Ms. to the front. The 1210 is a special date, it's my great grandmother's birthday. | |

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 1/3/2007 12:16:17 PM | The name was given to me by my dad. We were watching Hill Street Blues one evening, when one of the characters,Michael "Fido" Belker, offered to show some S.W.A.T. team members the best way to attack a punching bag. He started snarling like a dog and leapt on the bag, biting, kicking, and punching it all at the same time. When he finished, there was a big hole in the bag leaking saw dust onto the floor. My dad laughed and said "That's just like you...FIDO!" pointing at me,of course. I was a tiny kid.....I bit people from time to time...go figure. Anyway, the name stuck. There is even an infamous list of reasons "They call me Fido..." floating around to this very day. Some of them are funny,others,down-right naughty.......WOOF! | |

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 1/3/2007 4:39:20 PM | | Had a spanish teacher in high school that started calling me the native spanish speaker because of how much effort I put into the pronunciation. He asked what the native spanish speakers name was and i came up with Hulio with a silent H, joke on the Pronuciation thing. Eventually classmates forgot the H because of it being silent. I used to put alot of high scores on arcade machines, and at the time name entry was limited to 3 capital letters. Don't like they way that would come out since my initials are SAEP. So I went with Hulio and decided which letters to drop. the H was already droped for me, and I decided that dropping the "i" was the best choice for the next letter. Since ULO isn't taken in many places online it has suited me well as a common easy to remember name for online use. | |

These are made up but you get the point...So I tried to find something truthful yet frumpy just to be different. Fun thread, thanks for thinking it up.

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 1/6/2007 5:53:37 PM | Most guys will think I chose mine because I think I am... a hottie. It is actually because I am from the Mojave desert and I used this as my trucker handle many, many, many (and then some) years ago. It was also a very cold day when I chose it for this site... | |

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 1/8/2007 8:39:43 AM | I've had many nicknames online... The last two, however, seemed to attract men who were looking for sexual funzies... I have no objection to sex - I would just prefer to know and like the person before engaging in said activities! My last two ids were: Tauntress (nickname from my real name) and Ms_Deblicious (also a nickname from my real name)...
My current nickname came after reading something about personals ads... Said to make it descriptive (emphasis on a positive aspect of myself) and include my age. So there it is! | |

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 1/9/2007 6:55:58 PM | | Well, about 18 yrs ago a biker gave me the nickname Trouble Coming. When I got on line and started to use that name, people shortened it to Miss T. Hence Misty. Does it discribe me? Well, Trouble Coming does. Does that count? | |

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 1/9/2007 9:47:12 PM | | A man who calls himself Vorpholak began a black metal phenomena in the early 90's under the band name "Samael", their signature album, Ceremony Ov Opposites, was founded on the central theme that every universal concept is its own exception, that life in fact is merely a ceremony of opposites. The band derives their name from any number of cultural nods toward the duality of purity, most specifically the angel of judgment, or the "Venom of God", who later became misinterpreted as an icon of evil, and then further becoming synonymous with Satan. The absence of the letters 'f' and 'h', replaced by 'v' and 'j' is a cult derivative of dramatic translational voids between ancient sacred pagan conjuring rituals, most particularly those associated with the transition from polytheistic faiths directly to Judeo-Christianity. | |

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 1/9/2007 11:28:16 PM | | Well, I'm not brave enough to share the nickname my family bestowed upon me... at least not yet. However, I came up with my handle here, in part, due to the extremely large size of my family (10 bros and sisters, 22 nieces and nephews, in-laws, parents, etc.) I call our family gatherings ORGANIZED MAYHEM. Organizedmayhem also describes me to certain extent.... simple in needs, but complex in spirit. | |

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 1/10/2007 9:51:26 AM | Having a foot fetish and believing a womans feet are a beautiful and sexy part of her body I came up with the name footntoeman although I should have used the & instead of the n. Some women are repulsed by it but i believe the majority of women appreciate thier feet admired or why else have the pedicure, foot jewelry and sandels or thongs. Just my opinion. | |

| Why or How Did You Choose Your Nickname Posted: 1/10/2007 6:33:25 PM | My favorite surf board that I own is a Velzy Surftech 10' (Dale Velzy shape). I'd not dare use the name in CA (I'm not THAT good!). Luckily here in Texas, most people have no idea who he is. Ssshhhhh, it's a secret! I think it's a cute name | |
