Anyone going through New West for a ride?
How many are going on Sat. and not doing the buffet?
If I do book for buffet on Sat....again the question...can I get a ride?

We have been to Newlands a few times about all this and will be there again today. Winners is fully aware of what is going on! If they choose to ignore the requests, there is not much we can do besides TRY! | |

Hmm not really , Celtic_spice and I know the bar manager.He was the one that suggested way back that reservations should be made early if people wanted to accomodate such a large group as POF so close to Christmas.I thought since the Friday buffet was now cancelled that they would now have the ablity to re-book some group reservations. It must be frustrating for venues this time of the year, trying to please everyone and yet having to stick to rules and regulations in running a nightclub/lounge.Christmas and NewYears is especially special and no one wants to hurt anyones feelings or step on anyones toes.Hopefully between Winners and the Hosts for this event, everyone involved will be able to come to a happy compromise :) | |

Posted: 12/19/2006 4:16:53 PM | Well, when it comes to frustration the nightclub/lounge hasn't got a corner on that!
Over a month ago more than one attempt was made to book PoF into Winners lounge with catering and we were told we all had to have the buffet! We were also told that there were at least two other large parties on the friday and the minimum booking would be for 60 people.
Now we are told that the buffet has been cancelled for friday! (I just wonder what happened to the other two large parties??) It gets better, we were told today that the kitchen will be closed on friday!
Winners lounge has been informed directly and catering has been informed of our group directly.
As for re-booking groups, we were told by Winners that ALL bookings go through catering and catering has an issue booking without $ up front!
We WILL be there Friday and Saturday!
Catering has been booking some into "downstairs" and some into Winners, so go figure! I know we all will have a blast!  | |

Newlands (Winners Lounge) will have regular snack and food service on Friday!
The Friday Buffet was cancelled because of lack of interest (not enough reservations) but the reservations that were made will be taken care of.
