Lets say your house gets broken into..they have knifes and or baseball bats and are looking to kill you and steal you stuff. How would you protect yoruself with out a gun?..oh thats right you'd be beat to a pulp and/or shived to death, but atleast you didn't own a unless gun eh. Now granted whata r ethe odds your place will be broken into. Also ask yourself what good is car insurance if odds are your never goign to get in an accident.
I wouldn't care if the women I was dating/wanted to date owened a gun. All i'd care about is, is she trained and two do the police know she has it and is allowed to have it.
I'll take my chances, but as our home has never been broken into and we live a block away form the local precinct, I'll leave the gun-shooting to our fine folks at the NYPD.

If people want to date people who own guns, god bless them and more power to them, but not for me thanks. | |

anti gun or anti carry, or anti self defense.
that will be more then 3 or 4 dates i have to say.
well women with guns are fine as long as i can put a few rounds down range now and then. And if its an antique ive always wanted to try out, i definitely need to try it out. | |

Bezoar, what is your thought process here on waiting to tell someone. If they are that anti-gun and it is going to be an issue why wait to find out?
In my experience, the guys that have a problem with girls and guns usually do not change their mind no matter what. And the girls that have guns are not going to give up their guns for some guy just because he does not approve of them. So, clarify please. I'd love to hear why you think it is better to wait to tell.
Of course, that won't work for me anymore, now will it?

That's because most able bodied men are considered part of the home guard and have fully automatic assault rifles at the ready in their homes. Mainly SIG 556's.
As to the original question, no it wouldn't scare me. As a responsible firearms owner myself, I'd enjoy going out to the range with a hot woman and a few of my AR's or AK's. And if she can shoot accurately, man would that be a turn on. On the other hand though, what bothers me a lot is meeting a woman and hoping that owning firearms isn't a potential deal breaker. Especially if there's chemistry there and something long term and positive could come out of it. I won't give them up for nobody and it's not a materialistic viewpoint that I'm taking here. | |

A specific woman with a gun may scare me if she also carries a prison record (and I don't mean a rap album), a severe issue with emotional instability, violent tendencies, and a goiter. Gun toting goiter girls on meds out of prison scare the bejesus out of me.
I think women shouldn't "wait" to tell someone she has a gun. If that is a hobby and active pursuit then they should talk about it during the conversation regarding hobbies and interests as it is something they enjoy and have the ability and tools to pursue. If she has a gun in her dresser or handbag and it just sits there forever without a second thought, it just exists and has no meaning or joy or emotional attachment for her, then I wouldn't mention it at all as it has no relevance or importance. | |
