It really is a sweet weapon, accurate as. Only got to fire the A1, though, would've loved to've played around with the A2. Got to play around with the GPMG, didn't get to fire it, though. I miss Cadets.
You had a chance to mess around with the Glock 18, yet? That's a sweet weapon.

| How would you feel about a WOMAN with a GUN? Posted: 7/31/2008 8:16:00 PM | I got to shoot a G18 once. Same deal, same friend, had it as a post sample demo. I do however have 2 glock 18 mags for my G17.
Here for Civilians to actually own full auto it has to be imported prior to 1968 or manufactured prior to 1986. Everything else is Law enforcement only. (with a few exceptions for nuclear security contractors)
I'm probably about to become a deputy, so then I'll be able to purchase whatever I want on dept letterhead, but if I leave the dept, it has to stay.

| How would you feel about a WOMAN with a GUN? Posted: 8/1/2008 8:34:14 PM | Why purchase anything if you can't KEEP it :)
LE gets all sorts of wonderful deals...advance your thinking in that direction :) Most of the time all it takes is sending in a copy of your police ID...
Invest in a Class 3 license, as an officer, it'd be EASY to get :) If naught else, you can make a fortune buying & selling Class 3's.

| How would you feel about a WOMAN with a GUN? Posted: 8/1/2008 8:40:45 PM | Wow you people aren't very educated on firearm ownership! (Shakes head)
I say go girl, women are in fact a better shot then men, more often then no they are more enthusiastic about it then men they are with that share the interest. I also say a woman that chooses CCW is a woman that chooses to NOT be a victim. Look at any state where its allowed and see the amount of aggravated assault, murders, and other acts of violence plummet logarithmically . There is no such thing as a gun accident thats misleading, you can drop a gun from the Empire State building, its gonna shatter on the ground before it will go off. Its what we non ignorant refer to as Gun Negligence.
Cheers and Applause to any women into the sport or hobby or use of defense by firearms.

| How would you feel about a WOMAN with a GUN? Posted: 8/2/2008 10:28:16 AM | The problem with becoming a class 3 dealer is the ATF crap about having to have a storefront, minimum number of sales a month, etc. A friend of mine is talking about opening one if our guy goes out of business, but he hooks us both up very nicely so we don't want to hurt his business.
Typcially we get suppressors very cheap, I just picked up a YHM 5.56 can for $450, they usually go for a lot more than that. plus, the gun business is pretty hard to make money in right now. Big places like gander mountain, the acadamy, and****s sporting goods are putting a hurting on the little guy now days. Of course these places will never sell suppressors, full auto, or aow's. Sbrs and Sbs' can be made by any gun smith, heck with an AR, all you have to do is get the lower engraved, you can have the short barrel shipped straight to your house.
Not to many people can afford full auto, and no one I know wants a DD, so a class 3 dealer, is basically a silencer dealer. While the market is improving for them, it's still pretty small.

| How would you feel about a WOMAN with a GUN? Posted: 8/2/2008 9:37:59 PM | Staffy, do you know what the penalty is for illegal manufacturing of a class 3 item?
And it's actually not that easy, and yes I know how, I'm an M4 (among other things) armorer. The average person can't do it. And there is no part you can just file down to make it that way, I know you'll say your best friend/brother/cousin/uncle/dad did it, but in reality, they didn't, and you're just repeating the same retarded ass urban legend I've heard 1000 times before and that I'll hear 1000 times again.

| How would you feel about a WOMAN with a GUN? Posted: 8/3/2008 12:32:53 AM | I own zero guns. And likely will never own a gun. I don't want to be around guns.
Would I date someone who owned one? Sure. We'd have to come to some understanding that I didn't want to be around if it was around, but owning a gun wouldn't bother me any. She can go out to target practice, I just won't be around.

| How would you feel about a WOMAN with a GUN? Posted: 8/3/2008 6:15:53 AM | the vast majority of former/current military love to date gals with guns...they've been trained to use them and don't have any fear of them...just the proper respect due to a dangerous tool...much like a chainsaw...it'll bite you if you aren't properly in control of it.
It's kind of like dating cops...some men fear them, some men love them...it's all in how you were brought up. I prefered female Marines...you gotta luv a gal that'll back you up inna barroom brawl...or start one....
Plus if you get bored she can help you take over a small foreign country

| How would you feel about a WOMAN with a GUN? Posted: 8/3/2008 10:41:50 AM | | I think it's pretty cool. Going to the shooting range is one of the things I'd like to do. Plus, maybe I could learn a thing or two, and get one for myself | |

| How would you feel about a WOMAN with a GUN? Posted: 8/3/2008 12:44:08 PM | Glock22Shooter...
Sure the average person can do it. All you need is an AK-47 and a twist tie

| How would you feel about a WOMAN with a GUN? Posted: 8/3/2008 3:59:51 PM | ^^^ there are special rules governing true Automatic weaponry.
There are no rules YET reguarding "Bump-Fire" tactics. As long as the weapon is ONLY capable of One shot per Single Pull of the Trigger, it's legal. If you pull a trigger once and two or more bullets come out, that qualifies it as an illegal "Machine Gun" and is subject to state & federal laws...none of which take a kindly view to it.
You can use a thick rubber band to use the "Bump-Fire" technique, which for all intents & purposes, sounds just like Automatic Fire, but because it is One Pull for One Bullet, it's legal. Most gun ranges Prohibit the practice, so you pretty much are stuck in private ranges or outdoors in secure locations. It's also not very accurate, but when you throw that much lead downrange, you are bound to hit SOMETHING.
There is a wonderful book that should be REQUIRED READING for every gun owner. It's called, "Quick and Fancy Revolver Shooting"...by Ed McGivern. You can learn to shoot a revolver as fast as many Fully Automatic weapons with time & effort.
High-capacity weapons are quite fun, and automatics are VERY enjoyable...but I really prefer that those who get to play with full-auto weapons be either cops or military, former or present...or at least hot chix in bikini's

I'd trust myself way before trusting any of those people with automatic weapons. ... especially the hot chix in bikinis

Would you give something that unstable such a dangerous weapon. ^_^ Id like to know beforehand so I don't... like... tell her I dont like her shoes then have her shoot me in the ass.

| How would you feel about a WOMAN with a GUN? Posted: 8/6/2008 5:37:12 PM | I would be more interested in her than if she didn't.
Adds an aire of strength and responsibility. And it's way more fun to go to the range with someone than by yourself.
Pascifism would be a huge turn off for me. Owning a firearm is for me, a vital step in responsibile citizenship. It speaks of willingness to not only defend yourself, but others as well.
As to the 'Ahem' other implications of gun ownership;
"The gun has played a critical role in history. An invention which has been praised and demonized, served hero and villain alike, and carries with it moral responsibility. To understand the gun is to better understand history." From Tales of the Gun
