Posted: 10/31/2008 4:52:38 AM | To FB...i kind of got into this thread a little late...apologize, i don't have time to read all the comments and don't have the time to go thru them all....so, not really sure what you have said that has ticked off all these people....
I do not know what the events are like in your area....but up here, the guys and girls don't share the same attitude as you do....we have fun at these events...a lot of people do meet at these events and some have turned into long term relationships...but the marjority of us have a 'BALL' at these events...i believe that POF is one of the greatest sites i have joined as far as meeting and getting together with people is concerned.
I guess attitude comes into play when you do go out...if you have an approachable attitude (smile) people will be drawn to you...this is a fact, not a fantasy....
So, if you are having such a bad time down your way (lol)...you may want to join in on one of the NORTHERNERS parties.(fresh air up here, lol) ...   WE ALWAYS have a BLAST!!!!..... | |

And not likely I'll attend any new years events anymore or bar events as they suck fo single guys as always.
For once I will agree with FB on this one. So bookmark this page people...you may not see it again.
I have been to NY events for the last 2 years and I noticed the same. Most of the people came with dates at the two particular events I went to. Last year it was totally coupledom and it was quite uncomfortable actually. I ended up leaving before midnight.
Don't get me wrong...I am happy for the people on fish that have paired up. I doubt I will ever go to another New Years POF event again. Not because of the coupledom thing...but because my life has taken on a new direction and I will be with my 'partner' when he is performing in Windsor.
As for bar events....you can count me in if and when I have a free evening.
ATTITUDE has a lot of reasons for being single over 40. The few nasty comments that FB has posted shows where his attitude it. He says he is honest and says it like it is...well so are the people that respond to his nastiness.
Comments such as this:
Woo look out the witches of east wick are out and don wan of where !LLOL
Woooo the stud from water world still single also I see !LOL
Awh don't bumb out now just date the stud from water world ladies as your matched as a set !LOL show how an attitude can affect a persons likability. | |

And yes I do know a lady who did date me and she did get a lot of hate mail from you ladies for dating me ! So i personally do not care if any female contacts me on pof and as for your singles events !LOL When are they as us single men might be interested .
As this site as gone from a good site to a site full of beer drinkers & wanta party marty air heads !
And not likely I'll attend events held in the middle of the week event if coffee meets.
Alright. Firstly FB, I was in a relationship until recently with a woman who wouldn't let you smell her toilet, so nice comeback. Water World? Shows me your depth when you take my handle and associate it with a horrible movie rather than the 13th century Theologin it was actually named after. Women like men with look,s intelligence and good personalities. Might be why YOU are single.
Secondly, there you go again. Women won't date you because of everything else other than YOU. Whatever dude. Maybe if you stopped calling women airheads they might actually talk with you. Anyhow I don't think you will be missed at any events you don't attend. Are there events or have their been events where the ratio of men and women is not always favorable? Absolutely. Are all events like that? No. Besides, all it takes is ONE PERSON to meet and get together. Quantity doesn't always mean quality. | |

Well I am not missing any women at these pof events for sure as if they were worth dating they'd contact me . LOl Oh hell yes lots of women at some of these pof events but they arrive with another male and tend to never leave his side let alone chat with any other single men . LOL
But I guess since Kw is a german community I guess beer and bars are the norm down there . LOL Hey any greta's with horns down there for yeah Water stud ! lol
And I don't sniff seats of any thing !.
Hell yes your right theres no quality for sure at those meets .
London events suck big time !
Lots of guys but never many women and those women that are there are not looking to date anyone only there for something to do !
Yep I am slim and I don't date anyone who is not also slim . Do I care if so many are not slim ?? Nope ! Do I worry about someone to date ?? Nope I get dates just not from pof female members as they need to get the okay from everyone else for they they will date or even email someone !LOL
Enjoy pof any way you like ! As for me if women need to get their pof buddies permission then their not worth the bother for a coffee meet LOL | |

Posted: 10/31/2008 10:24:11 PM | So you still think you are right do you FB? You think it is alright to say nasty things about women and people in general. It says a lot about the type of person you are, or can be, given the circumstances at the time.
As for women not dating you because their women friends tell them not to, that's bull. If a women wants to seriously date a guy, no one is going to be able to tell them otherwise. Personally I have never been one to do what she is told, I tend to rebel and do the opposite. I never did outgrow that. 
IF (and I say that hypothetically) I were to meet you and decide I wanted to date you, there isn't anybody on this earth that could change my mind. You can even verify that with my mother, and some of my sisters, they have a tendency to disapprove of the guys I pick. But I am used to that. I'm the rebel in the family, the one that won't conform to the standard they try to set out for me.
You really need to take a long hard look at yourself. It's not everybody else who is wrong when they think you are out of line, there are just too many that agree that you are a very rude, crude and difficult person when it comes to the opposite sex. You have such a big chip on your shoulder for POF women, I really don't know why you stay on the site. Obviously it is not working for you.
As for the events, I have only been to two of them. And yes, there are couples, but there are also a lot of singles at the ones I have been to. And at both that I did go to, it was mostly the women up dancing in groups, while the men stood along the edges watching instead of participating. I am not afraid to ask a guy to dance, but often they say no, so it is not only the men being rejected. And I don't drink anything stronger than ginger ale, so there's no beerfest for me. I must admit though, that as the night wears on it can be quite entertaining to watch the ones that do drink. So not only do I get to dance and have fun, I have free entertainment as well.
And now I think it's time to end the bashing, and get back on the topic of the original post, over 40 and fishless. To that I have no answer, but I do hope that everyone will find what they are looking for, whether it be through POF or anther venue. Myself included.  | |

I see so many on here telling everyone else to look past the pictures of someone and look into thier personality !LOL Yeah okay !LOL
Yes I know alot of women on these sites are over weight and expect men to take them as they are !LOL Well sorry never been dateless and could never be that desperate either to date someone who does not look good to me. As a womans personality means NFG to me if she don't look good to me also.
But then I know most women do not read womens profiles either !LOL
But if you check some of the other womens profiles out their looking for mr perfection and if he does not meet what the women want then he's not worth a read & reply back !
And theres no chip or anything else on my shoulders or any place else either!
And I also know you do not D.W. O. go to events in london ontario and so how can you tell me what the london pof events are like??
And yes I am not afraid to say what I see at these events .
And another thing ever like these matches they match you up with LOL
Good grief Charlie brown stop trying to do matches for people as just like any singles site they always try to match guys up with women older then the guys!LOL
The match part of pof is like all other websites they just send you a list of people in your age bracket and to me that is not anything close to a match of any kind.
Theres never any proper matching as to someones tastes in the opposite sex .
If your white they send you all white people profiles/If your black you get sent all black people profiles/if your asian you get only asian people profiles . Theres no real matching done at all other then an age bracket of 10 years around your age.
Now as to no fish well I do get fish but none from pof as seems like I said too many on here not here to meet but more for fun & games only .
